Linda, my methotrexate dose was recently reduced from 25 mg. to 20 mg due to elevated LFT. My vials are 50mg/2ml so I draw up 0.8 to inject and discard the rest, as it is preservative free. How many ml's are you injecting? If you're injecting 0.3 ml, then your dose is 7.5 mg.
< =text/>_popupControl(); Here is a chart that will show you how to inject and it also gives you the dosage in ml to mg form.

That chart is great. At the moment I take arava but if I have to go back on methotrexate i will have the injectable as i had too many side effects from the tablets.Liz, I haven't seen that site before, what an excellent teaching tool. Thanks for posting. LindyThat link was wonderful. I new if I asked you guys you would come through it was very helpful and informative. If did get my normal dose maybe I feel better because it was completely absorbed like the information said.
This was my first injection I have been taking 7.5 mg for several months and I was in the Dr's office on the day I take it so I thought I would try it. It was not as bad as Enbrel and I do think it worked better than the pills. I normally take Benadryl 45 before the pills and that helps with the headache and nausea I did not take the Benadryl and I did have the most awful headache the following day no nausea so I guess I will try it with the Benadryl next time. I have an appt Monday for my Remicade and I will look into changing my MXT to the injectable form thanks again for the info and advice have a great weekend.
