Back to the hospital this morning | Arthritis Information

I woke up to unbearable pain. I was crying and thrashing before I even woke up. Hubby rushed me back to the hospital and luckily it was quiet there, because I got right in and they started pain/nausea meds right away and sent blood to the labs. This Dr is was in complete agreement with the others... that the HIDA scan did set this off, but it is not my gallbladder that is causing my pain, it is the one of the ducts that attach to it. There are two tests I need done by my gastro which will show the problem (hopefully). One is to put in a stent and the other is to cut it open  - I was very out of it at this point, and poor hubby left the room for just a minute and of course that is when the doctor came to see me and explain things. He added oxycodone to my mix and said to go home and rest until Monday When I can reach my Gastro's office.

My Hubby has been amazing through all this - kids and their friends too. I treasure everyone of them. Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. I sure need them. I do not look like or feel like the same person I was not so long ago. I am ghostly pale with big black circles all around my eyes.

I had a 5 hr nap today and feel world's better. Taking all these pain meds and being on them in the hospital has erased all my RA pain. I know it is still there, but it's a nice break for now. I am looking for the good in this.  I know that we'll get this figured out, it's just a matter of getting the right people to do the right paperwork and tests. Hubby has been taking careful notes and the hospital has made him copies of every test they have done, the tests they recommend doing, etc. So next time, we may go to the hospital my gastro works out of and I spent so much time in last year. It's a long drive when I am in that much pain, but I think I can do it.

I am sorry, Deb. I hope you get fixed up real soon.

Much hugs and prayers.

Thanks Joonie, I appreciate all the hugs and prayers I can get.

I know you are having a rough time too. I hope things get better for you sooner rather than later. I couldn't imagine dealing with this and small children too. It can't be easy for you. Please follow doctor's orders and if you find they are not helping, keep going back. Eventually they will get it right. We have to believe that. Big hugs to you!!!!

Thanks Deb.

Well, you're really having a rough time, OwieDeb, but it sounds like you're
getting on top of it and that your family support is good. I really feel bad
you're having so much pain, and I hope you get better soon.

Oh Deb, I am so sorry.  I am glad that your family is very supportive.  Just take the pain meds today, and sleep as much as you can.

Hugs to you, shel

God, Deb this is awful. I am so sorry to hear there has been more but it does seem you are getting closer to answers and at least you got some serious pain meds in the process. I am so glad you had a huge sleep, always helpful for the body.

Good on hubby taking notes and getting copies of tests. That stuff is really helpful when you are dealing with so many doctor's trying to pass you from one to another.

Bring on Monday. I hope you rest well until then.

Hugs and love, Deb.

Deb- How horrible for you to have been in so much pain. I really hope you get some answers soon. Carry on resting up and let us know what the gastro doc says on monday.

Gentle hugs

Big hugs to you.

It is so terrible for you to go through.  I hope Monday brings some news you can use to get this fixed.

hi sorry to hear you are not well . My mother had her gallbladder out and had already passed some stones so after the gallbladder was gone this is the same thing that happened to her  there was a problem in a duct and they had to stint it and wait a couple of weeks then when all was clear they took the stint out. Maybe you passed a little stone and its stuck there might not have been any other stones just this one and now its stuck because its too big for the duct? But if you get stint to let it pass all should be well.

hope you mfeel better and yes she was in alot of pain lst 20 pounds that time she was ill and was really feeling terrible and felt like giving up

Hang in there Deb!  At least people are acknowledging that something is up.  And to find a bright spot in all of this (temporary reprieve from RA pain) - wow. Awe Deb, this has been quite  a road for you.  I hope you get to the bottom of it soon.  Glad you're looking for the positives!  Litte RA pain is a big one!!Deb - congratulations.  I, too, have another person accompany to all my doctor appointments, otherwise no one would believe what happens.  You are lucky to have a great advocate in your husband.  Take care and I bet next week will be interesting.  Cathy
