anyone else out there having a really really sick day?

I'm off predinose, about a month, losing weight, thank goodness, w/o trying..

Took Mx.. man i thought it didn't bother me, but i'm soo nausouses and its been over 24 hrs, upset stomach

you know how when u go to the dr, they ask how long the pain lasts, when you get up.. for over a wk now, its been unending.. and just getting worse.. its mostly my knees and walking...

also i have no mattress, just sleeping on boxsprings, bc i can't afford a mattress and the old one was soo lumpy.. so sleep isnt' that comfy.. and considering how much i sleep...

My providers daughter was in the hospital, so i didn't get to go out sunday, but tomorrow she's coming over. Usually shopping is The highlight of my wk, I LOVE to shop.. major coupon person, lol..but

i'm sooo not up to it, but I have to .. too many things, i Need , not want to get..

sorry to whine, but here i feel like people really "get it".. and vicodin, is .. well it works, but first i get really depressed on it.. then a couple hrs later I get realy manic, lol (bipolar)..

i'm tired of this, ya know? the poverty, no car.. so i'm whining..

ok 5 things to be grateful for: thats my deal, if i whine, i then have to list  things  that I really appreciate:

this board, my cats, computer, my providers, my freebie board too, lol.

so how is every one else doing?

I'm considering getting a portable chair to make shopping at walgreens, and other places, w/o a wheelchair easier..

guess thats another subject, .. i'll try and be lighter next time

i just hate the pain.. (and oh off humeria too).. going next for the infustion not remicaid but the other 7 hr R one, ..

Oh Whispered...I am so sorry about your pain.  I do hate the constant pain aspect and the waiting for meds.  I hope things look up for you.  Have you been outside at all.  Sometimes I just have to go outside and sit.  I think the sun is so beneficial for us and our moods.

I hope your provider can get you out of the house...sometimes you just need to go.

I always have about 48 hours of sick feeling after taking MTX, and especially now that I have just started REmicade.

i know a few people are on Retuxab???  So, they can help you with that.

Take care and be sure to get fluids.

Sorry it's been so rough for you lately....enjoy being out tomorrow!!Hello whispered.  Sorry to hear it has been so bad for you lately.  MTX makes me feel the same way.  My doc has me taking 10mg on Tuesday and 10mg on Friday.  That works a bit better for me.

I have a suggestion for your sleeping arrangement.  I know many people don't want to ask but could you ask your church or any church for a mattress?  So many people are willing to help, but don't know what people need.  We belong to a small church and if someone asked it would be taken care of in no time.

Just a thought.  Hope you are feeling better soon!

Whispered,

I am so sorry you are feeling bad!!! Hugs to you.  Mary, had a good suggestion about asking a church..... They always love to help. Hope you get to feeling better really soon.

Sending gentle hugs

Years ago, you could go to Salvation Army or St Vincent De Pauls or DAV and ask. If you really need it, they give it to you. You really need a decent mattress. It may ease the pain a bit. Whispered, whining when it's really, really tough is what we are here for, love.

I know what it is like to do poverty and this disease. I am doing it and all with a five year old. It sucks.

And good on you to be even able to pull out five things you are grateful for at all. Well done.

The others have given you some mattress ideas that are good.

Maybe you need something more effective for the pain and maybe an antidepressant may be needed if you are not already on one?

You are going on Rituxan, the 7 hour infusion. I have just done my first round of that treatment so if you have any questions feel free to PM me anytime or if you need to vent also, I would be happy to listen.

I know it's tough but hang in there. This too shall pass. Everything changes all the time. It really does. Just take it moment by moment and you will get there eventually.

Whispered I am so sorry you are going through such a rough patch.  I will send out some prayers and good vibes your way.  It might work.

That is a woderful thing to do though.  Look for 5 good things in the bad.  I think that will be something I start doing.  Thank you.

Whispered, I want to mention that mattress stores usually pick up the old mattress and many times these are in great condition.  Our church has gotten many this way.

Take care

Whispered, it really bothers me you don't have a good bed. I wish there was something I could do. You deserve a good bed. Hopefully one of the suggestions from people here will pan out and you can get something decent. I don't have anything constructive to say except that I really feel for you, and your bed situation haunts me somehow. i am having a sick couple of weeks myself. i have really bad fibro. and now i have a swollen hand and a really swollen little finger with a nodual on it. but i'm just so tired. and my eyes hurt really bad. i see the doctor friday. i don't know what i have yet. the swelling and noduals is all new had it about three weeks. pain is such a hard thing to deal with, that i have too much experience with. so i'm six years into fibro i and i have a new problem to deal with. i hate being tired all of the time and everyone on the phone says i sound sick. i havn't been this tired scince the time i had carbon monoxide poisoning from a bad furnace. bless your heart sleeping on box springs. i work at home so have found away to manage. but this new problem i have been sleeping to late to make any money this week. emotionally it takes everything i have to deal with a bad fibro attack, so i just signed up to this message board because if i have arthritis or something on top of it i will need all of your strength and support. i just havn't had the energy to go out lately and i need to chat. also besides the church try dept of rehabilitation and senior citizens they may piont you in the right direction for a bed. and anyone that wants to take a guess as to if my hand sounds like osteo or RA i would love the input.

hi guys, I just wanted to let you know, I really appreciated your replies, suggestions and sorry so late getting back to you. I swear I've done nothing productive, i did talk to my dr and his asst is looking into someway that medicaid/care could provide a bed, so cross fingers.

I haven't been here much, but i DO appreciate your support, it helps and i'm just sleeeeeeeeeeeeping, lol.. its sad, i love tv, but i'm too tired to even manage a straight 3 hrs, lol.. thank goodness for Tivo (dvr).. we had a major fire here, i read someone else went thru it, that was just a day or two ago..  My aunt has cancer and is going thru chemo and is thinking of quitting, she has no nausea or anything but exhaustion, so i wrote to her and let her know she could do this.

Being sick, you just have to readjust your life, whether you want to or not!! I gave her some tips and i'm sending out a care pkg for her, including some chocolate bubble bath! lol , lots of creams, Johnsons has a special sleep lotion and it really does help sooth you.

I'm hoping eventually i'll have more energy and can contribute more to the board, but first i need to survive w/ my Freebies , Lol

many blessings to all of you !!! Y'all are wonderful!

and yes prayers still for not a decent bed, but a FANTASTIC BED!!! might as well dream big.
