AT LAST STARTED MEDICATION! DICLOFENAC | Arthritis Information

Hi all

As some of you know I have just given birth to my third son Bradley who is now 4 weeks old already!

Been to my Rheumy yesterday and he has given me Diclofenac 75 mg to start on until he sees me in 7 weeks time to go over all the results of a thorough blood testing session.  I am on 10mg on Prednisilone which I took on my own back to start the day after the birth and have taken every day for 4 weeks in hope to prevent a flareup - which has worked so far but I can feel the RA fighting to break through the prednisilone as in pain but not as severe by far.

He said to keep on the prednisilone as well as taking two tablets a day of the diclofenac but if i feel happy to I can start to wean down the dosage of pred whilst on these other tablets.  I am curious as to whether anyone has been on these and if so their experiences on them?

Hope you are all as well as can be x

I was on diclofenac but my stomach couldn't tolerate it.  Everyone is different though so maybe it will be okay for you.  It took several prescription changes before I found something I could tolerate and then they took it off the market.  I gave up and swallow Advil by the handfull.woohoo chelybel! I liekd dicolfenac, they helped quite a bit. Hope you're feeling better soon

Time sure does fly by when they are so young huh? Just seemed like mine was a month old, but now he is 10 months old this month.

Hope the new meds help ya out!

Hey Chelybel,

I take diclofenac as well and I have never had a problem with it. Do you take anything else apart from the prednisilone? Good luck with the rheumy appointment.

Where in the uk are you? I'm in Portsmouth.
