What do you like to do? | Arthritis Information

I know it can be hard with RA but what do you enjoy?  Maybe we can give Jooniper some ideas.

I enjoy cooking (healthy preferrably), gardening when the weather isn't too hot, reading and walking.  I plan to add travel to this list when I can afford it.

and on a not so good day I like to play in my yard- I pretend like I am useful and pull weeds- I have a ton of dandelions....it actually makes me feel serene- I get lost in my thoughts-

and then when I am truly bored I read....a good adventure story....I pretend I am part of the book...I also love to cook-

I am currently selling things on the internet- I am liquidating my cafe stuff.  So I have to check my mail and people coming over to buy things keeps me busy.

Hmm I like to spend time with our animals, go out to eat, chat on the computer, take pictures at hockey games, spend time w/my son and husband. My favorite time is when CSI comes on and I can go on CSI overload. Everyone knows I love to hike

So far no to reading, no to biking or hiking (too much work...lol), and I already sell stuff on the internet. Just do not make much money from it...lol. Gotta love Yu-Gi-Oh cards, before that was Pokemon.

I have hobbies, but nothing that keeps me busy or at least considered worth my "precious" time....lol. Precious time = sleeping!!

Hey when I was younger, about 5 yrs old. I LOVED me some Kenny Rogers!! I told my mommy I was going to marry him one day....lol.

And I also said that about elvis...but then she broke the news to me that he was no longer alive.

So, then I moved onto Tom Selleck, Magnum PI.

Yeah I was and still am a nerd...lol.

BUT YOU'RE OUR NERD, WHO KEEPS US LAUGHING AND WE ALL ADORE. :-)

Thanks Hulagirl!!

When I was still in high school I use to go visit the neighbor to make her laugh. Her husband died, so I would go visit her and just talk to her. I usually ended up making her laugh alot. She just thought everything I said was funny...lol.

My brother the one that lives in California. Talks to me over the internet on MSN Messenger when he is down, because I make him laugh and he thinks I am funny...lol.

I seem to be able to make everyone laugh but hubby. Hubby thinks half the stuff I say to him is stupid or unintelligent...

Me and hubby has this thing where we gauge people's intelligence & actions with watts...lol. I know not nice but, keeps people from knowing what we are talking about or talking about them...lol

I am an 90 watt bulb
hubby is a 110 watt bulb
My oldest niece she is a nightlight...lol
sister-in-law is 75 watts

Peoples watts change from day to day or they just burn out...lol.

Like hubby was a 75 watter one time for a whole day....lol.
The next day he was back up to 110 watts.

Opps more babbling and rambling!!

I know I can become the town gossip and busybody...lol. What  good hobby!!

I'M A CANDLE WITH A SHORT WICK TODAY. LOL

LOL @ Hulagirl!!

yeah, I feel like a 40 watter.

Just think the watt gauge came from the ol' saying "Not the brightest bulb in the box"...lol

So, now the world is the "box" and we are all "bulbs"...LMAO

Kenny Rogers is what I thought too!!

Hey Joonie,  I love the wattage thing.  Like when you get an idea - a light bulb goes off in the head.  I think I will be a 100 watts today.  I feel way better.

PS  You guys, I was never attracted to Kenny Rogers but everyone says hubby looks like him.  Funny huh cuz I am sure attracted to my hubby.

I too agree it is Kenny Rodgers, for sure. My husband kind of looks like Kenny Rodgers too. He has salt and pepper hair and a salt and pepper mustache also. In fact your husband and mine look alot alike except mine has lost more on the chrome dome. He wears a ball cap all the time so I forget how much is really gone. I would say we have good taste in men. Cuz I like Kenny Rodgers, he is one of my favorites!

Besides that I like to be around water, have it be at the lake or in my back yard. We bought this house about 12 years ago and it has a pretty good size swimming pool back there. My friend and I  swim almost everyday in the summer. She is also disabled and so we use it for our Therapy. It sure can help with the frozen up fingers and toes. I have so much trouble with my low back and legs. I have  horrific pain in them but if I can keep them limber then I do much better. I would love to have a  hot tub but never have gotten one yet. I can't get in and out of the bath tub no more and miss those soakin baths on my legs. They can really help in the winter.

My other past time is my children and granddaughter,my dog and gardening. I too like to go and be outside. I look at it as Gods work for me. Because it is in the yard or dirt and he is in control of that. But I like to try and be a gardener. I have trouble keeping my flowers watered because of not being able to walk much. So I buy and they die! Not always but this year they have. Oh well!

RLS238582.3245486111In March I finally bought a hot tub. My husband and son decided they wanted to work on old Chevelle's so I told them not til I get my hot tub...it  helped me get it sooner haha.

People around here in FL think I'm crazy...I turn it up to 104 degrees and get in, doesn't matter that it's 90 degrees out...but it really helps my body to loosen up. Last couple days we've had a heat index of around 102 degrees so I finally lowered the temp in the hot tub to 99 degrees.

Not sure about other states but in FL if you get your doctor to write a script for your hot tub/spa saying you need it, you don't have to pay taxes on it. It saved us about 0.

I missed you guys last night when I came home.  Couldn't get on board.  I had such a nurturing day yesterday.  Brett had to go to mountains so I went with him.  It was so good for me.  The cool mountain air.  After we did his errands, we went to the lake and I floated on top of the water for a couple hours.  OMG  It felt so good.  It felt like the ra went away.  Brett threw sticks for dogs so they got lots of exercise swimming.  We took the long way home, all logging roads.  We stopped at old homesteads along the way and looked for old "junk".  It was an absolutely wonderful day.  I needed it.  I would get the acheys on and off but I took the darvocett and I was enjoying myself enough that it did not matter.  I am thinking ra gives me flu like symptoms.  Sore throat, acheys, I feel this way a lot.

RA never ceases to amaze me.  I am going to call gp and look into Lyme disease test and also call about Humira.

Thanks for letting me share my hubby.  I am so proud of my sweetie.  I just need to get my body working so I can take advantage of him

Old Chevelles huh?   My first car was a '72 Chevelle back in 1976.  My present wife ran into that car and that's how we met.  That was 26 yrs. ago.  We just married 5 yrs. ago.  Go figure!

Allen

Took ya long enough to get married
My husbands chevelle is a 1966 and my son's is a 1968...I guess they keep them outta trouble...til they get them fixed up that is

Seems like that '72 Chevelle always got me into trouble.

Allen

P. S. Took her long enough, not me!

The chevelle's aren't running yet...but they are a money hog before they  hit the road ... I think I made out good on the deal making sure I got the hot tub first

My favorite things are writing poetry when my fingers cooperate, trying new foods, watching movies, spending time with my pets and spending time with my Mom which isn't often enough since she's in Nebraska and I'm in Florida.

Peace & Love...Neasy

Where in Florida are you? I'm by Orlando ....right in the middle of the state. Neasy,  You should go over and hang out with Murph in the hot tub

Neasy38582.4450231481Oh cool...we go to some Lightning games and eat at The Spaghetti Warehouse.  It's about an hour from here.

I took the pic of the beagle and resized it to 100x100 pixels then used it for an avatar. I have some really scary ferret ones
