So my brother calls me tonight and asks if I know anywhere my blind 85
year old father who lives on his own and works 1 day a week and
volunteers for stuff as president of an organization, might be at 9pm.
Me thinks in back of mind he had a meeting today, but woulnd't ever be
out at night on WED so says "No"
Brother says dad not answering phone and when I say he has RED Sox on
too loud and doesn't hear the phone- brother says "no lights on going
in"
OK, no one home - should we wait till morning, worry? who would we
even call?
In walks dad - Great to see you.. was an hour and a half away leading a
meeting for his organization... went well, had a great time tells brother all
about it for 20 minutes...
Morale? Kids can be really stupid no matter how old! 85 yr olds can be
very competent and independent with or without vision and much hearing
pgr laughs at self and brotherHahaha, now you know how he and your mother felt when they didn't know where YOU were!
I have a feeling you are going to be just like him when you are 85haha... My sister knew where he was the whole time, but we didn't call her!
And she thinks we should have been worried and that he needs to carry a
cell phone - whcih he refues to do.
