I won my SSDI | Arthritis Information

Hello to all,

I don't post often, but I wanted to share my good news with people that would understand what this means to me.  I won my case, first try.  I am still a little dumbfounded.  I hired an attorney, I really don't think they helped much.  When I filled out my paper work from Social Security, I know that I went into as much detail as possible.  I also had my husband fill everything out, too much writing for me.  It can be done, for those of you that are thinking about trying or for those that are in the middle, it can be done.

way to go!!!!

how long did it take?

Great news!!I quit working in March of this year and filed in July.

Wow! That is WONDERFUL, and super fast! Glad you go it, now maybe your money worries will not be so bad. Now just take time to rest and get to feeling better.

Pip

Thank you

congratulations, glad it went so quickly for you. < =text/>_popupControl(); That is just AWESOME!!!  Congrats to you!!!  What a nice relief for you.  I am glad you got it so quickly!!!  That's great news!!!! What a load off your mind!!!  it took me 3 years and a hearing in front of a judge and a lawyer to get mine then it was for my wieght not my arthritis and illnessCongrats! What a relief. 16 months and still waiting to hear about my appeal.

Congratulations . Tha must be a relief for you. Does your timescale vary from state to state?

Hi Sandra, congratulations,  that will take away a heap of stress which sure doesn't help with this horrible disease.  Make sure you make the most of your time by resting  and eating properly, exercising when and if possible and not feeling bad hopefully about your situation, it is not your fault, hugs Janie.  Thank you again everyone.  It does take a load off of my mind.  I wish that I did not have this horrible disease, but at least now I can pay some of my bills.

I finally got the nerve to file.  Only reason I didn't want to is because I heard it's next to impossible to get.  Started out with an attorney.  Quit work due to two different doctors insistance.  Hopefully that's in there (as it was a different state at the time).

Next week I have to go for a physical or something by one of their doctors and I am a wreck.

It's so nice to heard that somebody got SSDI on the first try. I'm going to file for mine in a few weeks. Hopefully, I'll get it on the first try. It seems that my joints are giving out on me and doing things becomes very painful. My right hip is gone. I'm bone on bone. This is the same leg that has the TKR.

As I sit here, my shoulders, wrists, hands, hips, knees, and ankles hurt. Can't stand for long either as the hip will make my back hurt. Wish me luck with my case.

PS: I HATE arthritis!!!!

Hey everybody!!!!

Congrats your SSDI..... I got mine 2 months ago also!!!

I know this will take so much off your shoulders.

Again, congrats!

Steph

Steph,

I was told that someone would contact me about my daughter she 2 1/2.  Should I go ahead and contact them or wait?
