I was reading an article in the Vancouver paper the other day which I thought I would share. Apparently some research is going on whereby they are finding that Redheads can tolerate more pain than blondes/brunettes!!! The person doing the research was treated with much skepticism at first but apparently after sharing his findings other scientists (can't remember where they were from, I should have cut the article out of the paper) are concurring and finding that the gene that redheads carry may indeed show that they have a higher tolererance for pain plus they have more relief from painkillers. This all sounds highly improbable to me (being a redhead) but I thought it was interesting and funny at the same time so thought that all the redheads on this site could band together and prove or disprove this this theory!!
By all means!!
Let's compare. I'm Blonde and I feel like I can handle a good bit of pain. How do we gauge?
I'm brunette and feel I handle pain very well...I think...lolWell let's see, I'm a brunette but during the summer I spend a lot of time in the sun and auburn highlights come out so my hair is redish where does that put me?i'M 1/2 iRISH (DAD WAS THE REDHEAD) MOM CHEROKEE INDIAN SO I'M A HEINZ 57!!
I CAN TELL YOU I HAVE A LOW PAIN THRESHOLD....DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT!! Speaking of Heinz 57's I got one for ya I am part Irish & German (fahrers side) & part Italian & Yaki Indian (mothers side). I am a burnette, but when I was younger I was a brownish/blonde and one summer I had green hair...lol...from staying in the pool to much & long.
brunette and I thought I had a high pain tolerance before, now I'm not so
