An article on sexuality and arthritis | Arthritis Information

I thought I'd share this article with you.  I helped put together a collection of links to information on sex and arthritis and other chronic diseases for a newsletter that I am assistant editor on.  I then posted the newsletter on my own website and posted the link to it on some message boards, including here.  Lyn (the newsletter editor) and I were contacted by a writer from the Missouri Arthritis Rehabilitation and Research Training Center, which is part of the Missuori School of Journalism.  This is the first of a four part article on "Sexuality with Arthritis".  The remaining three articles will be posted the next three Mondays.

Wayney,

It's so great to see you here.....we've missed you!  The article is really great, thanks for sharing.  I'll be looking forward to the next 3.

I hope your feeling better, it's gotta be hard keeping up with Bastian, working on your articles and being in the midst of a long flare.  I think about you often, that's for sure.

Lots of hugs to you and yours,

Pam

Thanks Pam.  I was so shocked when the author contacted me about being interviewed.  I also forgot one big thing...I never asked Gar if he cared about my name being out there in an article about sex.  Thankfully, he doesn't mind.
I've finished one article except for editing it and getting approval.  And starting the next one.  Trying to make myself take some time off and do things for me but I just can't do that.  I love writing and researching things.
I'm hoping that my saying this doesn't jinx it but I think the flare is letting up a little...but I've said that in the past and been wrong.  Today though, I managed to go to the grocery store, make a roast(like dumping things in the crockpot is that taxing-although lately it has been), clean my kitchen, and even sit and enjoy the dinner without being too tired to eat.
Lately, Bastian has been even more help.  He's starting to know when I'm not feeling well.  He's also been very lovey.  He's normally not a huggy type kid but lately he has been.  He's been trying to cook "all by himself"...but I'm close by to watch and make sure he is safe.  He did make Velveeta Shells & Chesse pretty much alone one day.   I got it started and stood back and let him do the rest.   I did drain the shells when they were done but he did the rest!
I do miss being more active here.  And I'm hoping that as the flare continues to lessen, I can be more active.
huggles,
wayney
ps how are you and oscar?

Wayney,  I love to see you using your wonderful writing and researching skills.  This may be a whole new career for you.  You are so insightful and articulate.  I also think of you often.  I will be reading your articles and stay in touch.

I wish we were close to you, Oscar and I could come and sample some of Bastian's "Valveeta Shells"

I'm still battling the fatigue too!  It's really rough some days

I'm glad to see you're back again today, thats good!

I meant for that last little "emoticon" to be a big hug for you

Here's the hugs I can take no credit for this article...I was just the interviwee.  I'm still  working on a few things but nothing of this caliber.  The writer of the article is a very nice woman who is very easy to talk to.

None of my articles have made it to public places yet.  And I think that they are more like term papers or something.

hugs, wayney

ps nooners are good things.

     Thanks Wayney, another great one!!

I've  started on the "solo" and am enjoying

that too.  It will take me some time to get  all

the way through that one as Sunday is full of

"concentration breakers" around here nah, it's a long one...tad boring in places too...unless you really do want to know the chemical activity of pain (which had to be splained in the article to make some points make sense...)i find things like that exciting not boring but anyone who didn't like the sciences in school will probably hate sections of that one!

Never boring when written by a special friend
