Good morning, its a bit of a

Take care

 Lisa

Hi Lisa, how awful for you.  Please let us know what your Dr says and make sure you get some rest!  I am glad your hubby could come home to help, what a lovely hubby.  Take care, kind regards Janie.

Lisa I hope you feel better very soon. (Most of us can relate SO well, and feel for you.)

I had to dop my wife off at the airport and I think I may need to go back to sleep for a couple of hour more. Not a flare just waiting for next Ramicade and have some stiffness and fatigue.

Nap time! I hope everyone has a good day

Lisa sorry about you night.  Mine sucked too.  But just my wrist.  Now I have on my brace and it seems to be helping we will see.

I am spending the day waiting on the furnace/air man.  Let's see if he really shows up this time.  I told landlord to call first but he never does.

Aww poor Pinnie :(

I got up for my doc appt and started getting ready........and they CANCELED IT!!

Goodmorning!! Wow everyone is up early, some for reasons that suck!!
Lisa~ I hope the dr can do something for you for the pain that you are in.

Katie~ Drs arent allowed to get sick

So, I slept alright last night.  Did have some crazy dreams though..Hubby might be starting a new job tomorrow, depending on how work goes today.  There has been a lot of stuff going on that is just not right.  Like for example. They have a job in the next town over that has to be done by Nov. 1st and they have an inspection today but hubby isnt there today cause they want him at a different job that doesnt have a time frame instead they are having one of the other guys there to be w/ the inspector that is a COMPLETE idiot and NOT a people person.. So yea its more then just that but who knows.  Its ok if he does though cause he has a job that he can start w/ at tomorrow that will pay him more then what he is at now.

Hope everyone has a good day and hope the flares go away!!!

Good morning all,

Lisa, so sorry that you're in such pain.  I know I've been feeling off lately too.  So, maybe flares are catching.  LOL  Seriously now, for me it's the change of seasons.

I have been having good sleep for the last couple of days because Isabel has decided she likes her Princess bed again and has managed to keep herself in it rather than crawling into mine at 2 am.  Yeah!  Hopefully this will last.  We had quite an active day yesterday.  My brother Todd was down here painting my window sills over again with the lead prevention paint so Isabel, Lily(the dog) and I were out in the backyard playing for about an hour.  Then we went off to Burger King for supper which we ate at the beach watching the water.  Of course, from inside the car as it was 58 outside.  Then back home for bubble bath, story and bedtime.  Oh, we also took a slow walk around the neighborhood before supper.  Now, today is raining.  I'm having a pain in my right shin.  Too much cleaning, I think.  I've been cleaning my whole house from top to bottom over the last 3 days and have refused to listen when the RA says no more so here I am with achy shin.  We're being interviewed on Tuesday by the local newspaper re: Isabel's lead posioning.  It's not something that I would normally even consider but I was asked by 2 separate people to do this to help get the word out.  I couldn't refuse as I know how important lead posioning prevention is.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hugs,

Steph

Steph~Hows Isabel feeling?  When do you have to take her to get more blood work done to see if the levels have gone down?  Did the soil outside comeback positive or negative? Kelsays test came back last week and I was really nervous about it w/ all the lead recalls lately and I wasnt sure about the house we are living in now, but everything came back normal

Pinnie...I am so sorry about your pain.  I can truely sympathize.

Steph...I am glad you had a good nights sleep...it is so rare, but so needed.  I am glad you are getting help with the painting, and maybe there will be some help with the house.  You sounded like you had a good day in spite of it all.

Shannon...I am so sorry about your grandma, and the trip.  It is such an emotional time for you and your family.  Try to get some rest today, and when my dad was dying...I got a journal to put down all of my feelings.  It really helped, b/c I could say things that I would have never said out loud.  I am glad that Kelsay was there, it sounds like she connected with your grandma in a way that only kids can do.  I LOVE that little girl of yours...she is a great example of her parents.

The sky is finally startng to lighten up here and the news says it's supposed to be clear. The temp. says it's 26 outside, dang, I'll have to find my winter coat. I hate putting it on or is it taking it off, no I think it's both.

Gosh Lisa, a hot shower is my last step when I'm really miserable, I hope it worked. Don't you start a biologic soon? My Remicade is Wed., I'm going to ask to move it up a week, this past week has been worse, I don't think 8 weeks is working for me.

Bad bone day here.....I love the Fall season but with it comes the flares....YEsterday I slept most of the day and did laundry. Daughter and bfriend stopped in  and suggested Oregon as somewhere to move to but it will be a couple more years, I have to chuckle at all this!

She said she wants to save money so may want to move in here.....wonder what the plan will be next week! lol Kids....I think it is amazing she is making all these decisions and researching whenever she can.

Back to my day....more laundry and sorting of "stuff" preparing for donations for the needy for the holidays....I have so much  I just do not need anymore and certainly someone can benefit from it.

Have a beautiful painfree day all!

I miss my sister's gbabies and family soooo much! I do not miss the bumper to bumper traffic and high prices in California though! *wink*

Shannon - Isabel's last lead test was on Sept. 24 and it had gone up then too.  However at that time I had no idea it was the toothpaste causing it.  So, we go back on the 17th of this month and I'm hoping it will have gone down as now I know not to let her use her toothpaste until her lead level is back to normal.  It is scary.  I'm so glad Kelsay's came back fine.  That's the last thing you need on top of your grandmother.  I have a queen bed too and even without a hubby sleeping there when it's Isabel and the dog, there's barely enough room for me.  Both of them are bed hoggers.  LOL  And blanket hoggers too.  So, when she's in my bed I have no space to roll over and I'm freezing.

Suzanne, we did have a good day.  The painting is just touch up from the deleading that was already done so it only took my brother about an hour.  Fortunately, it dries quickly so by the time we got back from dinner, yard playing and our walk it was dry to the touch.  A good thing because Isabel likes to look out the front window and talk to our neighbor across the street.  I think she has a crush on him.  LOL  Actually, I think he has a crush on her too.  I've never seen a 40 yr old man make it a point to come to a window every morning and night to talk to a 2 yr old.  LOL  He's a good guy and they both adore each other.

So, we went for a walk around the block now that the rain has stopped.  My shin has stopped hurting thankfully.  I have these moments when I do what I want regardless of the RA complaining.  I refuse to let this disease dictate to me sometimes.  Of course, others I give in but that's mainly because of the fatigue.  As long as I'm not tired, I tend to push myself.  RA can be such a pain literally and figuratively.

Oh, Shannon, they never tested the soil however when I was talking to lead  inspector she said and I had read it also that it's rare unless there was like an old gas station when there was still leaded gasoline.  Then the hazard would have been higher because the leaded gasoline could have seeped into the ground.

Like everyone else the ouchies and achys have visited me.  For some reason I can't straighten my r. arm.  I almost think it's OA.  Am going to go to RD's office for laser treatment on my leg today so I'll make an appt. for sometime this week.  I've just done too much this week and am now paying for it.  9 holes of golf, wash and waxed floors, cleaned, laundry.  Did all that in 2 days.  Need to learn to pace, pace, pace.

Hope everyone feels better as the day progresses.  I do think the weather is bothering our bones.

Deidre, My RD moved my infusions from 8 wks to 7 then to 6 and they now get me through.  My MXT day is Monday and by Sat. I'm hurting some and then on Sun. I notice some major pain.  Once I take my MXT I'm fine.

Everyone have a joyful day.  Lindy

Can I go back to bed?!

Dudes! I was meaning to come back on last night but, I took a robaxin and it knocked me out. My back was hurting from where I did all that sitting up without laying down for a few mins inbetween sitting up. Hubby popped my back and it popped all the way up to about my neck. He just pushes down with his hands, and it pops it. Makes my back feel sooooo much better. Sometimes before he does that it feels like some bones are outta whack and kinda hurts when I turn a certain way, but once he does that... it is all better.

I woke up about 11:45pm from my nap last night, and I could hardly get outta bed! The pred done started wearing off. It was all I could do to make it to the bathroom which is just a few steps from my bed. I had to take a "break" when I got to the bathroom door. I then got back to my bed, told hubby to give me my pred, and a darvacet and the heating pad. Then I went back to sleep and slept until 4am. I was able to get outta bed a whole lot easier and better than time around. Hadly no pain, no stiffness and I did not even have to rest at the bathroom door

Daughter is going to the fair again tonight. This time with her friend. She does not know she is going. But she will when they go get her from school a little early

I made son lunch. Me lunch. I made a few calls. I called to see when my next RD appt was Oct 23rd @ 10:45am.

My leg muscles are doing some funky stuff. They are twitching, but they feel sore. I think I am starting to get inflammation in my leg muscles again.

Nope no, advice from me. Except for her to lay down and you take her to the Drs? Yeah... That is all I got.

Shannon? I was "spinning" yesterday, and feel a little light headed today, what should I do about it?

Shannon, an inner ear infection could be making Kelsay dizzy. I've had a lot of vertigo over the years because of the fluid in mine

Joonie, Sudafed dried up the fluid for me, the ENT told me all about the fluid and vertigo. Once the fluid clears up the dizziness goes away. Good luck to you too

Once I took him to the dr. just for a regular checkup and the doctor said "Why isn't this child screaming and fussy," (as Jamie sat there laughing and fooling around) "Because his eardrum is bulging and bright red!"  That sounds good, but Jamie's eardrum has actually ruptured twice because we didn't know he even had an infection.

So I say just get it checked out to be safe.  Blood sugar fluctuations can also make you dizzy.

Poor baby - that must be an awful feeling!

it's offical. I have RA.

Joonie...you did not need another "strange" happening.

Monana...Hey girlie haven't heard from you in a long...long time.  How's the tummy?

Milly...I am sorry, but glad you have a dx, and now you can march on.  Ya know it will hit you at the strangest time.  I think it has only begun to hit me and I have been dealing with the pain for more than 10 yrs, and dx officially about 7mo.  We are here for you.

Well, I got to put up new curtins in my bedroom.  Our blind got ruined, and it was fun...hubby let me pick them out so they are pink and burgundy.  Yep, girlie girl.  He doesn't care one bit!!  I am lucky.  We worked on putting them up after he let me lay down for about two hours.  I am pretty tired, but I have some more stuff I could be doing...I don't know if I will get to it tonight.

I am going to go to bed now. Thanks for listening. Catch up with you tomorrow. unless i wake back up. Please all be well.

You be well to darling.  Talk at you tomorrow!  I hope you don't wake up, but I will be up later too.  Just a regular occurance for me, every night around one or two...more pain meds or the first ones.

So what'sa happenin hot stuff?

OOOOOoooo are ya talkin' ta me???  *flips hair*

yeah... in my best long duck dong voice

so ya doing any better? Remicade kick in yet?

No, Remicade has not kicked in...but it has kicked my but every which way!!!  I am thinking that I will need a doseage increase after the Oct. 31st infusion.

GP changed my antidepressant to effexor to help with the pain.  It blocks dopamine in your brain so you feel less pain.  I hope it works, haven't noticed much relief yet.

I know your suffering terrible.  Any dates on your first infusion???  Hope it's soon honey...ya need it!!

Yeah... I called RD's office today, and they said my appt is oct 23rd @ 10:45am. YAY!! Only 2 1/2 weeks to go

Any relief is great.  Do you have to be off of the Humira for two weeks, or is it ok to overlap them???  I would call...you may have to take your shot earlier.  I hope it does help Joonie bug!

Well, I am thinking I am not even suppose to be taking the Humira, as that is the last I remember talking with her about. I was to already of had my remicade infusion. But I took Humira a couple of weeks back and then I was going to take it, but got this yucky green stuff, and last time I took it when I had this yucky green stuff I got a sinus infection.

So... I have 3 syringes in my fridge just waiting to be used up. After all the trouble I had to go thru to get them, I should at least use them up before remicade.

I called her a couple of weeks back when I had that prednisone shortage thingy going on, and asked for a refill on humira, and they never addressed it, so I guess I am not to be taking it.

Oh I did find out what happened to my other 50 pred pills. My insurance will only pay for a months supply and 100 pills is over the months supply. So I get 1 extra refill for the 50 they jipped me. It total I can refill 4 more times.

Where Mo'Nana be? Is she in a candy corn induce coma?

See ya's on the sunny side up

I'm here guys, don't leave joonie, just trying to catch up! Been shopping for Emma's b-day party. Shelly I feel lots better thanks!

Hi Mona! Glad you're finally starting to feel better! What'd ya buy Emma today?

 Hey Brisen

I bought Emma tooooo much!!!

Hey Jay

Yep, we are ALWAYS busy(sometimes just stirring up trouble)!  Hey, Jay...how's it goin?

Mona...I am sooo glad the tummy is better, and it must be fun to shop for a grandmunchkin!!!  I can't wait...well, I can, but ya know what I'm sayin'!

Hi, Bris...did ya have to work today??

It is a little slow here as well.

It sounds like you had fun shopping.  My wife and I shop for our grandkids from time to time. NONE of our children have children.

It is sooo fun Shelly! She gets so excited. Trey is still sick and whiney. I had to take him medicine and food tonight, he has a COLD!

Hi Shelly! Nope, didn't work today. Had my Orencia infusion this morning, then came home and relaxed all day!

hmmm Jay I think I understand what you're saying....counting your chickens before they hatch....

 Especially when they're male

Cholesteral 149, HDL 40, LDL 81.

I took some of the Bannana Nut Bread to DC for the wife and she took a bite and said "I've had better." I am still hurt and a little bit pissy.

You should have sent that Banana Nut Bread my way...I would have been much more gracious!

Thanks Gale next time I will.

Yeah, I was down for the count this past week, but much better today! Glad you finally got that computer fixed. I would've been having withdrawls! Brisen39363.8917476852

Jay, when your wife kissed you goodbye, you should have said "I've had better."

Sorry, I'm a troublemaker!

 Hey Karen

Jay you crack me

KAREN!! you are such a devil
Jay, when your wife kissed you goodbye, you should have said "I've had better."

Sorry, I'm a troublemaker!
Yes I should have and yes you are, but we love ya!

PPPPFFFTTTT! I know all the firemen here and they're all fat, bald and old, and the chief is a drunk

I'm scared to death they''ll burn everything down around here

That way we don't get stuck in one rut all the time!

Well i couldn't sleep. Well one thing is bogging my brain. How long dose a flair last? Do you think the pred will help the fatique? On average or your own personal experience i know everyone is different. And yes i know that is 2 things not one. Thanks anyone

Alright guys, I'm fading fast. See ya'll tomorrow! Night!

 Good night Brisen

Sorry you feel so bad Milly and I don't have RA but you just asked the ,000 question!

Oh well, have a good night's sleep - now let's see it's not even 10 o'clock where you are, right?

 She's a wimp Karen!

I have had flares last a few days and some seemed to last weeks. Before I was DXd high doses of Pred worked for me. I felt like I did not have a pain in the world nor did I feel tired. But as you said we are all so different.

How you feeling Mona?

Milly, I'm afraid I can't answer your question either.  But from hanging around here, I think it is a very individual thing.

I hope you feel better quickly!

How's the haunted ship building coming? Does it smell like wood smoke?

I feel so much better Milly, thanks. I took Karen's advice and went to the Dr. after I almost passed out.

yea yea whatever Karen, not you, no sireee bob!

Jay you missin the wifey?

Milly, bless your heart, I hope you feel better soon. I just do not do mornings well at all! I used to get up every morning at daylight, grab the binocculars and bird watch. Now I'm lucky to fill the bird feeders by lunch time

I am not missin the wifey to much since she just flew back to Dc this morning. She came home for the long "government" weekend. But it was very nice of you to ask.

Thanks

Yeah it's Trey thats sick and he coughed and sneezed all over the house for two days! He just called and said "I don't feel good mom". I said "Trey, you have a cold, take some advil". He said "I'm coming to spend the night". I said "ok son, come on down". *sigh*. He "moved" out a week and a half ago

Just kidding ya Jay

Karen have you heard from Katie since she last posted? Poor kids, they've been through a lot to be so young

I hope he feels better soon.

I am getting pretty tired and think I will (figurativly) follow Gales lead and go to bed.

Talk to ya'll later today.

LOL Jay I am a push over where that boy is concerned. Have a good rest with Brisen

Well I'm off to bed too, good night Karen, wherever you got too
