Happy Thanksgiving Gimpy and all the rest of the Canadians!

We had ours yesterday as well...was delicious!  And what wonderful weather we're having  here (southwestern Ontario) warm and sunny...even had to put the a/c on.

Hi gimpy and kelstev!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you both!!!!

Happy thanksgiving. This is a learning curve for me as I didnt realise canada had thanksgiving too. I hope you all had a good time

Happy Thanksgiving all,

I wish it was Thanksgiving here.  I could go for some turkey.  Hope all of you in Canada have a wonderful day.

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A HAPPY THANKSGIVING.  I saw the cutest Thanksgiving card.  Had a cat sitting at the dining room table looking at the turkey on the platter.  The caption was "And you yell at me when I bring dead birds in the house"  Anyway, I thought it was pretty cute and bought out that particular card for the family.  We won't be with them this Thanksgiving because Stan and I are taking off to San Diego for the month of Nov.  We're going to either have Mexican or seafood for Thanksgiving.  Maybe even Mexican Seafood, satisfy both cravings at once.  LindyHappy Thanksgiving!!Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends north of us.
Gimpy, you said that the turkey was juicy.  Was it fresh or frozen?  We have had better luck with fresh.  Glad you enjoyed it!
It was a fresh organic turkey that we soaked in a sugar and salt brine for 3 days before roasting. I wouldn't have believed a turkey could be so juicy and tasty. Everyone said they never had a turkey so good!  Gimpy, could you let me know the recipe for the brine?  I am having "lots" of people over for our Thanksgiving in November.

thanks
MaryBlooms, I sure can, but I have to do it in the next few days because it's in a cookbook and someone else has it right now, but I'll have it very soon. No problem.  We have several weeks until ours.  I like to try new things and I hate a dry turkey.

Thanks!
