So, Hawkeye, is RA the only thing he tested for???  Did he do a lupus test, a scolaraderma test...and many others.  Did he ask about ethnic origins.  There are a lot of autoimmune diseases that Native Americans are more prone to.

Also, there are plenty of people that are SeroNegative.  There is a rhyme to all of this...you just have not found it yet, and maybe you and the doc need to keep looking.

Don't leave because you need to keep talking about the symptoms  on the board, because there are a lot of really smart people here.  Take care of yourself.

Sounds like you have something. Hope they get to the bottom of soon. I guess your going to have to get alot more blood work. Who tested you a rume or just your regular doc ? There are so many different things you could have. The nurse called me today said I tested positive for I think she said RH was positive. I don't know what any it all means yet. Didn't want to over research till i knew what i had. You know i didn't want to much info and to get confussed. Now i know it is RA and i will check this all out. I don't think all of the blood work is back yet and i get more done more tomorrow. Yes that could be it. I have been tested for RA in the past. I was afraid they wouldn't test me again. But i had a nodual so they did. Anyway my last test was negative, now today it was positive. So i don't know if it is because this is new or just because it took awhile to show up.

Yes it was my reg MD, and he tested CBC, arthritis panel, and liver check also...but I'll keep on him for other tests, I think I want exrays of my hands too...I asked him about the sero negative possiblilty and he just doesn't think it is RA right now....no ra docs around here...thanks for the info and support to all of you....!!!

Hi Don,

You could be seronegative or have some other autoimmune problem so don't let your dr put you off if you are not feeling well. Push for treatment to relieve the symptoms at least. Unfortunately, it can take years to get a firm diagnosis. I never tested positive for RA but my symptoms and response to prednisone fit. My official unofficial diagnosis is inflammatory polyarthritis, but no one knows what that means so I just say RA. I hope you feel better soon. Stay on the board - there are plenty of us "maybe RA" folks here.
