Goodmorning! Im up and here, thats about all I can say.  I am a little sore today but not to bad.  Got a lot done yesterday so thats probably why.  Plus its getting back to normal October temperatures rather then 80s almost 90 degree weather that we've had all last week.  So that being said, I didnt get my candy corn yesterday cause it was almost 90 and I was NOT walking in that heat!!! So, maybe today I can get my sugar fix

Suppose to get up warm here again today.  But possible rain.  Then drop down for the rest of the week to 60-70.  Subject to change.  Always subject to change.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Supposed to be a record breaking heat here too!  (Northeast TN).  Then back to 'seasonable' temps after that.  I am getting a little weary of high temps (90+) but I refuse to complain as I really, really dislike winter.

My kids are on fall break this week.  So far we have scheduled and eye doctor appt-son (checking for lens deformity), an orthodontist appt-son (routine) a dentist appt-youngest daughter (extract 2 teeth), GI checkup-me, echocardiograms-both daughters and me (son has a newly diagnosed bicuspid aortic valve syndrome), a visit to a college for oldest daughter, and a mammogram-me (followup on benign fibroadenoma removal).  I do believe that I will be tired of sitting in doctor's office this week.  AND my husband left for Italy yesterday and will be gone for 3 weeks.   I think for spring break we will do nothing but sit on the couch and watch movies.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Andrea

Good Morning everyone!  Yes, it has finally cooled down in Wyoming!!!Yay!

I am feeling strangly less sore today.  I really want to try to ride my bike outside.  I did get up and have to work out some soreness, but my pain level is manageable with my little head!  I am so excited.  This is the first time in over a year I have felt that way!!!  Maybe a new beginning???  I am afraid to even hope.

Well, I am going to go on a bike ride with hubby, and then come back and then I need to get started cleaning the basement.  I would love to sew, but I have to find my sewing table first.

I will check back periodically to see how the rest of the gang is.

Goodmorning!!!!  For reals this time!!!

It sounds like overall, things aren't too bad for anybody today.  That's good news.  Yeah, temps here are lower too, just in the low 70's today.  Tomorrow they will plunge into the 50's for the high which is a HUGE disapointement for me.  I know I'm in the minority with this, but I'd take 90 over 50 anyday.  Everyday.  But, it's October in Mi, so there is only down to go from here for the next 8 or 9 months.  I gotta get outta here. I won't be going to the school board meeting tonight; I've got another one of my troublemaker government watchdog friends to take my camera and videotape the shenanigans.  If I'm still home sick tomorrow, I'll have something good to watch.

oh Jaz I am so sorry you are home sick.  Can hubby pick them up on his lunch???  Take care and rest.

Jas...too bad you're not feeling well, you guys have been slammed with bugs these last few weeks.  At least you have a nice new bed to crash in
Jas...too bad you're not feeling well, you guys have been slammed with bugs these last few weeks.  At least you have a nice new bed to crash in

So... here I sit doing much of nothing. Would LOVE to go back to bed, as it is all nice and cloudy, and looking like a rainy day. That is the BEST time to stay in bed all day!

My right hip is starting to throb, no leg twitches yet. I usually does it when I walk around more.

Other than all of that I am doing A OK!

Your bed sounds wonderful, my mum said she was on an aero matress whilst she was in hospital for her broken hip but she didnt like it, she found it hard... but then there's not a scrap of meat on her bones. Question - does it wobble like a water bed? I get sea sick, am absolutely no good on water.... I come from a naval family and am the only one who has no 'sea legs - they're ashamed of me

Nope - no wobbles.  It's not like a balloon; there is some sort of structure inside that keeps it flat and mattress-shaped.  I also have a 2" memory foam topper on it.  The aerobed is very adjustable - you can have it rock-hard or soft and cushiony at the flick of a switch.  The air pump is built into the mattress. Joonie/shannon

I saw a post about leg muscle twitches and such, I used to have that until my doc told me to take extra calcium/magnesium/zinc..have not had the trouble since....if that helps anyone....Have a great day!!

Don

Happy to hear it Don!!!

Don - Wow! Good to hear you so chipper and doing so well! Hope it continues for you

Ummm... yeah, that was me and I am taking a multi-vitamin. So... do not think it is that. But will keep that in mind as well.

Within the last couple of weeks or so he has been talking a lot more than he normally does and much longer sentances with BIGGER words.

I LOVE it when he says "Duh!" You will ask him something and he will say... "DUH! I already done it! Duh!" It is sooo cute. But I know he is getting attitude with me. He is even more cutier saying it then Mary-Kate & Ashly Olsen was ever saying "duh!"

Last day of vacation and I have had my lazy but in front of the TV all day. I started to feel guilty then remembered that the wife went back to DC. So more laziness for me. I am dreading going back to work. It is all guys (with the exception of two office girls) but there is more drama!!!

It looks like for the most part everyone is having a good day. Yeah

YAY  for candy corn!!!!

What are all of you lovers of candy corn going to do after halloween?  Better start hoarding it now while you can.  Wonder how many bags you would need to cover you till next October.hubby says that they make it all year round...I wonder if they sell it somewhere online...I could only find 2 bags at the grocery store today.....ill have to try freakmart this weekend and store up

The History of Candy Corn

Candy corn has been around for more than 100 years. George Renninger, an employee of the Wunderlee Candy Company, invented the popular confection in the 1880s and Wunderlee became the first to produce the candy. The Goelitz Candy Company (now Jelly Belly Candy Company) started producing the confection in 1900 and still produces candy corn today.

When candy corn first appeared, it was popular among farmers because of its agrarian look. The tri-color design was considered revolutionary and the public went crazy for it. Lack of machinery meant that candy corn was only made seasonally from March to November. Candy corn has remained unchanged for one hundred years and is a favorite at Halloween.

How is Candy Corn Made?

In 1900, it was the job of many men to produce candy corn for eight months of the year.

Sugar, corn syrup and other ingredients were cooked into a slurry in large kettles. Fondant and marshmallow were added to give a smooth texture and bite. The 45-lbs of hot candy was poured into buckets called runners. Men dubbed stringers walked backwards pouring the candy into cornstarch trays imprinted with the kernel shape. It took three passes to make the white, yellow and orange colors. Originally, candy corn was delivered by wagon in wooden boxes, tubs and cartons.

The process of making candy corn is very similar today, but now machines do most of the work. Manufacturers use a method called the corn starch molding process. A tray containing depressions is filled with corn starch. Candy corn is made from the bottom to the top and in three-color passes. First, the depression is filled one quarter full with yellow syrup and allowed to partially set. Next, the orange syrup is added. The mold is then topped off with the white syrup and is cooled. The candy now can gel together. After is it has finished cooling, the trays are emptied and the little candy corns are ready to be eaten.
hubby says that they make it all year round...I wonder if they sell it somewhere online...I could only find 2 bags at the grocery store today.....ill have to try freakmart this weekend and store up

Shannon I almost OD'd on candy corn a week or so ago
Jas, we used to have a Jewel man drive through our neighborhood and sell stuff, you know, like the schwan man.   I didn't know they had a store too.
Jewel is a supermarket over here in Illinois - they're usually paired with an Osco drugstore.  I wonder if it was the same company?  I always thought Jewel was just a Chicago-area store.
Hi Link, Jas, Mo, et al!

Hey Brisen, so you feel better today? Thats so great! I'm doing better too.

How are you feeling Jas, any better?

Hey Link

Well yesterday i called family. Today i was calling guys in my little black book.

So Jas, are you telling me that I dont have to buy 44lbs (there is a min. order) of candy corn?  Don't worry next step , eye doctor.
wow thats a lot of pred...id be running marathons on that!! Hope it knocks outta ya what its soposed to.

So Jas, are you telling me that I dont have to buy 44lbs (there is a min. order) of candy corn?

On the other hand I'm happy cause I got an apology email from the hospital that my mum was in last week.   I phoned (from Australia) the hospital to find out mums condition (in Toronto) and was told flatly, 5 times mind you, that "we cannot give out patient information over the phone".  I said who I was, her daughter, and that I was phoning from Australia. The nurse suggested my mother could find a payphone and call me.....she was 83, sick, on oxygen.  I tried to explain how it was mildly impossible for me to get there to find out her condition and could I PLEASE just find out how she was. Nope, nothing.   I was so pi##ed off that I sent an email to complain about how I was treated on the phone.  This morning I got 2 emails apologising for my treatment and saying that they will advise the nurses on how to treat phone calls from family especially if they are calling from a distance.  So...I'm happy, maybe someone who phones from afar to see how a loved one is doing won't be absolutely stonewalled next time.  I understand privacy laws, I work with them every day, but there has to be some give and take depending on the situation.

Hey Pammy!!! I just emailed customer service on the site that I found that sells candy corn online to see if they can be shipped to Australia or to the UK.  It says please wait 1 business day for a reply.  I'll let you know what I find out

I found a new way to brush the cat that works really well.  Packaging tape....just tear off a strip and wipe it down her back.  It pulls out all the loose fur.  She hates it but I think its great.

I'll keep you update Pammy!!

Now ya got me wanting candy corn again! The last time I read all about the candy corn, I went and bout 4 different bags, candy apple, indian, caramel and regular. Guess it's time to get out my stash.  LOL MMmmmmmm candy corn...

Ya know what I've REALLY been craving? Not candy.....a place to eat... IHOP!!! Mmm PANCAKES!!

Oh well... candy corn... I am sooo over the candy corn.

So... soo... suck my toe... all the way to Mexico!

Did ya'll know the candy corn you get from Freak-Mart is from Mexico? Yeah... I keep wondering if they are using their nasty water in the candy batches... but then I remember it probably gets boiled soo... no more nasty water

Is there a Candy Addict's Annonymous?

I wonder how many times this chat thread has turned to candy corn.  That or the dreaded s word.  No, not that s word.  The other one.

Sex?

OH! SNOT!!

My bad. I'll shut up now.
Hey Gale, how's your mom doing?

DUDE! I go over in-laws house and MIL has candy stashed EVERYWHERE! She had a bag of peanutbutter cups... I think we finsihed those off for her last weekend. She has all kinds of candy hubby will eat and does not need.

I am surprised I do not weight 200lbs. With all the pred and junk food I eat. When I go to get weighted at Dr appts, I just get a number in my head, and then it is always lower then I thought. Like last time jeans were fitting a little snug and I was thinking 176. But turned out to be 167. It seems like each year I gain at least 5lbs, since being on the pred.

I am just waiting for the time I can be off the pred for good and my joints be doing well enough to let me try to do some real exercise. Like walk in place for 30mins without a break.

And katie, how's Justin doing?  Sorry if you already said and I missed it.  I've been on the phoneYeah, Biscuit, it'll happen.  Don't worrySpeaking of walking, I got a memory card for my phone for my birthday! That means I now have an MP3 Player as well! YAY! Now I have motivation for walking, like my doctors yell at me for!!!

Dude NOTHING motivates me to walk. It is just a pain literally. And then the pain I get from doing it is not really a good reward. Like right now if I walk my legs twitch more, and then my knees will swell bigger. It is just no win.

And most of my fat is in my butt, thigh, lower belly area. I am a freaking pear! That is my body type.

What body type are ya'll?

Pillsbury Dough Boy!I'm not saying....

I'm with you on the walking joonie...it's just WAY too painful!

Link, my Mom's doing really well. They're planning on releasing her from the hospital either tomorrow or Thursday. Then, it's just a matter of rehab. But I think she's going to pull through this...thanks for asking! Yay for your mom Gale!!!  Is she a pretty strong willed person?  I used to work in a nursing home when I was a teenager.  It seemed the old folks who were the sharpest and mentally tough did the best after that sort of injury.  I'm glad your nearby.  Probably make a world of difference in her recovery.Katie, I'm really glad you decided to go home to see your grandpa.  You'll be glad you did.  But did I miss it again?  How is J doing?LMAO Yeah, you missed it. One page back!

 Hi Guys

Sorry to hear about your grandfather Katie.  I hate those doggone cigs.

Mo~  How have you been.  Last time I was on, like, last thursday you were MIA.    I'm glad you're ok now.

thanks Link I have the dreaded ole bladder infection, doing good now though

Katie I'm so glad Justin is doing better, how are you?

Katie~ my DIL is getting hers out on the 29th.  Her doc said that the lining is all messed up.  He told her that normally they would wait and watch before removing it, but since tshe and my son are wanting to start a family right away, he doesn't want her to get pregnant and then flare.  Yup that's right.  I could be a grandma soon.  OK, that isn't the point of this post.  But still......Night Katie. Sleep well

Praying for you guys too Katie...good night...love ya

Hey, Link, Karen, Gale, Millie, and Monana!!!  My day started good, and then I went on a bike ride with hubby and have been in the bathroom all night.

Nite Katie! Good luck tomorrow...I'll be praying for you guys!

Hey Shelly glad your feeling better but what did the bike ride do? Shake the sh** out of ya?

Nitey nite!Nite Link!!

Hmmm. let me see...did I do too much.  When we were about an forty five minutes out we stopped, and everything ceased up(quit working)  I started to cry, and hubby was trying to ask...what is hurting?  ok, what is hurting the most...I couldn't even answer I was soo overwhelmed with pain.  I did walk a little...partly to gain composure.  I can't believe this is what has become of me.  I used to ride for two hours striaght.  Then I got home and hit the toilet...yep, we're down to nothing.  I could do any test available I am that clean.

Did anyone watch the DWTS result's show? It's on right now, but I REALLY don't feel like seein that creep Wayne Newton again tonight.

So who got the boot???

 Good night Link

Karen I just read your joke

I didn't watch tonight...Oh crap did I miss Boston Legal?....Karen was it on???

Wayne went bye bye, Gale!!!! I was so glad!Good night everyone I was being a wallflower tonight. TTY on Wed. YEAH! I was afraid Wayne Newton might hang around as long as Master P did a few seasons ago! Nite Jay! TTYL!!

Nite Jay...I think I am going to head that way.  I am going to take a shower to relax the rest of me.

I guess the bike ride was not really worth it, but I am glad I was outside for a while.

Shelly, I'm glad you went on the bike ride, and I hope you keep on going.  You're fighting back, Girl - keep it up!

As you are riding that bike, think about Lance Armstrong, fighting his way back from what was expected to be terminal cancer, riding through chemo treatments and he didn't give up.  Just take it slow and easy and keep at it!

Sorry you are having a rough time shelly. I hope it gets better soon.

I hate riding long rides, but I do it to get outta the house. I will hurt if I am at home or if I am riding in the car.

I am trying to decide on if I am going to take a Darvacet tonight or not. Do daravacet help with swelling? Or was it just that the pred kicked in after I took it? I woke up this morning and my knees were not as swelled as they were when I took that pic of them. but they are back to being that swelled again and I have not been on them much. I guess it is the rainy weather doing it.

Good night all you thats going to bed!

Karen did Boston Legal come on tonight???? Was it good?

Sorry you're feeling so bad Shelly.

I think 45 minutes was probably a bit much for your first time out in a while. A nice hot shower sounds like the ticket!

That is probably true.  I am finally to the point where I want to take more control.  I did start on effexor on Friday, and I am hoping that will help with some of the pain.  I have also started lifting weights a little during the day.  I really want to get my strength back.

Boston Legal was very good tonight!  I giggle through the whole darn show.  Jamie and I have to watch it together every week!  He was out with his friends, but came home to watch Boston Legal with his old mom!

awww thats so sweet Karen, them boys are crazy over you it's obvious

I can't believe I missed Boston Legal

It does me and Karen too Milly

Do you work Milly? How is it with the Ra; you may have said and I missed it.

Not a bit - glad you're here!

 Hey Deb

Star Jones looking at her now is....

A LITTLE CREEPY!

I am sorry, but her and Al Roker both look like they have fat people heads on not so fat bodies. They look kinda alien like.

Oh and my hubby says I am a pessimist.

 Star Jones just looks scary

Am I too late???

owiedeb, I just found out today that I have Sjorgens....

hugs to you gals

Sorry, hi to everybody!!!!!

Hi Angy, sorry for all the bad news, thats awful!

I remember hearing about a study they did about patients with chronic illnesses and how well they did with their treatments, compared to their attitudes.  It really stuck with me.

They gave the example of a woman who falls down the stairs and breaks her leg.  There are two type of reactions to that:

1.  The negative person would feel so depressed about it, and be upset by how much pain they are in, how hard it would be to get around now, and wonder why did it have to happen to me.

2.  The positive person would say, I feel so lucky.  I could have been killed by a fall like that, but I just broke my leg.  Everyone took such good care of me, and I know it will heal.  There are so many different body parts I could have hurt that wouldn't heal.  I am a very lucky, blessed person.

The study found that people with positive attitudes do respond better to treatments, and enjoy their life so much more.  That's what I always remind myself of when I look at situations in my life.

Thanks moana!!!

Ditto Angy...sorry about your daughter and your multiple diagnosis.

Angy, I have sjogrens and scoliosis too. Did your doc start you on salagen? that is usually the first med. sorry about your daughter; is it very bad? They say mine is mild, but it does cause spasms at times.

I am hungry. All this talk of candy corn.

Well Karen, I fell down my stairs last December and fractured 3 ribs, took 18 stiches to my forehead, and herniated 2 discs in my neck. My reaction? YEAHHHHH...I'm off work for a while!

Dr. started me on restasis....

My little girl, they took xrays and I am supposed to hear how bad tommorrow.

Thanks guys for listening.....

That is a good reminder about attitude. It is just so hard sometimes when we are dealing with multiple docs who all think THEY are right and the others are wrong and I am still not better.

Good Attitude Brisen

 Al looks OK

Ally is 10....

I told hubby in 2 more years, if we are lucky... she will be PMSing and more of a cry baby! He refuses to hear me talk this.

I have 3 girls ages 15,14, and 10. My youngest is getting boobers too. I really hate it...we are all on the same cycle. So PMS around here is murder!!!

Joonie no daddy wants to hear that about his little girl

Deb what do the Drs want you to do, you can't go on like this!

She is 9. I got me boobers when I was around 9, and PMS was around 11. I was an early bloomer so my mommy says.

Joonie, they say my gall bladder is fine, it is the sphincters/ducts from the gall bladder that is the problem. Two weeks today I have been on a liquid diet. I now detest anything liquid!! I feel sorry for the new doc I am seeing tomorrow. By then I will be good and worked up and they better get a move on things. Patience is gone I have worked up a good mad.

OMG! I asked hubby to make me some oatmeal with brown sugar. He brings it to me and it was drum roll please .....

GRITS with brown sugar!

Even my son knew he made me grits! Hubby was like grits, oatmeal what is the damn difference.

He is such a goof!

Poor little rich girl

I saw today that her new video is a bust too!

thats hilarious!!!!!

humm... that just sounds weird, Deb. I hope you go a little easy on the new dr, but do let him know you are not about to settle for anything less than being pain-free from the gallbladder problem. Good Luck to you tomorrow!

Yeah... I was a little shocked to hear they took her kids away. I hope she straigtens up soon.

Well guys, once again it's been a blast, but I'm going to hit the sack.

Work tomorrow...ewww!

See ya'll tomorrow! Love ya's!

Deb, hope they get all your pain taken care of pronto....

In a strange way I feel sorry for all of the child stars that became superstars.  It took away their childhood, their normal relationships with parents and friends, it seems to have caused so many of them to be unstable.  Not all of them, but a lot of them.

I'm waiting to hear that Michael Jackson and Brittany have gotten married - sounds like a perfect match to me!

well, Im gonna say goodnight to you all. Sleep well and wake up painfree....

 Night Night Brisen....love ya...TTYL

Nite Gale.

 Nighty night everyone

I cannot remember if I took it. I do not think I did and son was trying to touch it when it was sitting on my laptop so I moved it to my chest. Now I cannot find it.

I am going to have to go. I have to find it before does. I looked all in the bed. Now I have to look in the covers and floor.

DAMN IT! See that is why I do not like to take pain meds!

Night all!

You're doing just fine Milly!

Hey I've been here forever and I still get lost

Karen please tell me about Denny Crane, just a little

Night sweetie!!!!

Angy and Milly you guys are really sweet and fun to talk too

Love ya gals

Good luck and good night Joonie!... love ya...

yes find that pill and let us know. And yes i like Boston Legal but did not watsh it tonight.thanks Moana!!!

No problem hon we're on and off here all day and all night. Come when you can, stay as long as you can

Let's see Mona, lets see, Alan took the case of a 15 year old who is HIV positive who sued her school because they refused to teach students about using condoms to prevent STI's, Denny made a bet with the John Larraroquette character that he couldn't win a case of a Mexican who had a rooster he used for cock fighting, and he lost 0,000, Alan is still having quickie's with the woman attorney, in spite of chewing chicklets (Denny's solution) to kill his urges.

Oh and Jerry is falling in love with the new young attorney.

Ok I found it. Abi Kitty was laying on it. She was laying next to me in bed and I guess it slid off my chest and she laid on top of it. I did not think to look under her

Nite Angy!

Does Martha Stewart freak anyone else out? I mean she seems snotty and then has a mean streak in her, or even that she is like a craft cult leader and everyone must not wear shoes after labor day or they will be secretly poisioned with a poisioned carmel apple she made herself.

Glad you found the pill Joonie, woohooo!

I love Martha Stewart!

I boycott Martha Stewart, I think she is a bad role model. Prison Record and all.LOL You would Mo'Nana! I bet you wished you were her cell mate when she went to the pokey huh?

She graciously served her time for something they wanted to make an example out of her for.

What do you think of downloading songs off your computer to listen too? Or even making a cd. Not to sell just to listen to. What is your personal take on this?

I just wouldn't want to hang out with her. In the movie they made her out to be a backstabber to her friends. That would have hurt my feelings, if I had been her freind.Milly, I forget, do you have children?  How old?

I think her haircut makes her appeal more to homemakers as she does have that kinda feel. But ya know she does kinda look like she could been a man at one time. Maybe why she was a model prisoner in the ole clink!

Have ya'll ever seen her LifeTime movie about her life? OMG! If not watch it... you will feel different about her.

Grown Boys 28 and 25. My sister is 29, she has a 3 year old girl , a 4 year old boy, and a 5 year old boy. And my granddaughter just turned 7.

 No I've not seen it

They should make it to where if a album has been out X years that it should be ok for someone to download and not have to pay a fee to download it.

My hubby downloads his off Wal-Mart.com, but some he cannot get off of there as they have cuss words in them, and he cannot stand to have the edited version, so he will download off one of the free music download programs.

Trey uses Limewire all the time and makes cd's to listen to in his truck. They won't play in my cd player in the car.

My son has done quite a bit of that too Mona, but he plays it from his computer, through his stereo system.

Hummm... might be because your does not play MP3's? I know on MIL & FIL's vehicles their radios say something about MP3 compliant on the front of their radios.

Look at the radio on the front and see if his truck radio says something "MP3"

Oh hubby said he does not download off Limewire or bearshare, he uses his IPOD software. He has an IPOD. I just want to chunck that darn thing out of the window most times, but I refrain from it, as it cost bookoo bucks. It was one of those items that was not ran by me, as he knew I would harp on it and say no. He just came home with it.

My kids are daughter 23, son 21, son 17.  My daughter is getting married next Aug.

Yep Karen will have a grandbaby by this time next year you wait and see!

Darn honeymooners acting like rabbits

I have good stereo speakers too Karen and it makes a world of difference.

Ok... I was just trying to be positive... seeing the glass half full

Milly for some reason I thought you were katie and Joonie's age

Hey Joonie and Karen have either of you heard from Kiwilass? I posted under yours to Michele Karen but nobody said. Just wondering...she was so nice

abi kitty disconnected me she attacked my dsl cord and pulled it loose.

who be the goof? me? if so, i live with a whole house full of them

Milly I just turned 44 on sept. 16th

Last I remember reading was that she was really "busy" with her grandkids being with her. That is all I remember though.

My hip is swelled I cannot feel my hip bone good like I normally can.

Joonie where do you get those crazy avatars? They crack me upMicheleb

Last Visit: 28 September 2007

Kiwilass2

Last Visit: 07 October 2007

Thats so sad Milly. Thankfully you have a big strong boy.

I had to have missed Kiwi, don't remember her posting

I am sorry to hear that milly. I was DXed with fibro on my first visit to my new RD, but I am not sure that is what I have. I thought that is what I had, until she confirmed it with the trigger points and said I had it.

I am to be put on something for it when I got back to her the 23rd. I hope so anyways.

Ok, so bed didn't last long.  Pain, Pain Go away!!!  I think I did myself in.  See that is what I get for thinking I am SUPER WOMEN!!

Karen you may be old but you are young at heart, and so is Bris.  My son found his b-day present yesterday. I had it hid on the bottom of the clean clothes in the laundry basket and he found it! We now have to buy him another present as he wore his new Lightning McQueen shoes. We are buying him clothes for winter. No toys. And we are telling everyone to buy him clothes for his b-day... NO toys!

Have you tried using some heat for your pain Shelly?

 awwww Poor you Shelly

Milly we have several here from Ill. too

Well ladies I'm all tuckered out, think I'll go to bed now, good night...love yas

Yes, and how many of the grandparents are going to listen to that.  I wouldn't....I would just buy the sweet boy toys anyhow!!!

Joonie, that's probably a good idea - darn toys would probably have lead paint in them anyway!

How about some books?  My sons loved books at your son's age.

Joonie he's three! He has to have a few toys to open

Nite Monana! Love yas!!! Sleep well, and I hope I have not hurt myself either.  I have the heating pad warming now!!!  My hips are really hurting, but so are my knees and ankles.  I just need a bed sized heating pad for every night!!!!!

Sorry to hear that Shelly. We are here still. I hope you get some sleep soon.

Milly? is that 60mg of pred keeping ya up?

Karen? Ya ain't old... yet. When you hit 50 you are old

Oh Yeah! My mom reminded me today that my oldest brother the one with the gay bag... today was his b-day... he turned 55. Then she told me that my oldest sister will be 50 the beginning of next year.

Man... my siblings are getting old.

Oh and my other sister, the one who is jealous of me, she is having a knee replacement sometime soon. First I have heard of it, and we live 10 mins away from each other, and I hear this from our mom who is 30 mins away.

Milly I am so sorry about your neck, it sounds very painful.

Shelly, they actually make heated mattress pads - maybe that's what you need!

Me and my hormones wouldn't be able to stand it, but other people love them.

Nite Mo'Nana!

He does not really like books, he has several of his favorite characters in them, I try to read them to him and he says they are his and takes off with them.

We do it every year, tell everyone to buy clothes

I told MIL when she tells her side of the family about his b-day party to tell them to buy him clothes, and she said she already told them that... as his toys are everywhere in the house. She cannot stand to come over to the house and see his toys strolled throughout the house, she will pick them up. I pick them up and put them in his room, and as soon as I turn around they are right back where I picked them up from. It is like he has them where he wants them, and they need to be where he puts them... strolled throughout the house!

Yep, I looked at them last winter, and I think I am going to talk to hubby.  I know that he will never use his side, but I would love it.  Actually I need a heated water bed.  I think that would work...it would fit my body in all positions and always be warm.

I have the Sleep Number Bed - it's the only bed I can sleep in.  Every other bed is like a bed of nails for me, and I am awake most of the night in pain.

My other brother said the water bed killed his back. He now has a temperpedic and LOVES it. *rolls eyes*

Milly... I am sorry your fibro is soo bad. I think my neck/shoulder/upper back problems are from fibro, at least when my RD pushed those trigger points I about killed over from pain shooting to my brain. My shoulder blades like to burn, like they are badly sunburned, when I use my arms too much. Sometimes even typing makes them burn, and they always burn when I try to wash dishes. Clean dishes are just not worth the burning pain in my shoulder blades.

I hope you can find some relief soon, milly.

Shelly - yeah... the heated mattress pad sounds good, but I have a "human furnace" that sleeps with me, and well by morning I would be overcooked

Well, most of the time I sleep on the couch.  I have my prop of pillows and ice and heat at my disposal.  I did sleep well last night, in my bed and it felt wonderful, but now it is like sleeping on nails.

I am going to go try again.  I have to get off my hip.  I think I am going to get a wireless router again, so I can just use the laptop at night.

Nighty night...I hope it works this time.

good luck!

I think I'm going to say s'long also.

Catch you all on the flip flop!

Night Shelly Good Luck and hope you fall asleep!

Well, guys it is almost 2am here and the darvacet or darvocet is kicking in and I am starting to get pain pill jet lag LMAO!

Night! Hope ya'll sleep well, if not hope when you finally do sleep, it is well.

Nite Karen...pleasant dreams of hunky firemen!!!

Nite Joonie...I hope you actuall took it.  Take care and sleep well.

it is good days and bad. and the pain levels are often different. I have a pain threshhold, different little secrets. i am a mess when comes to medicine some times. And i also get stuborn about taking it. If it makes me tired. like muscle relaxers and pain meds. But some days you got a do it. I cannot take asprin, or NSAID's, So i have paincream for the neck and shoulders, coughmed with codien for the in the middle days, and vicoden. And those are my only pain med options. Well anti depressants. I was going to start but i don't know right now, i don't know what RA meds i will be on. Plus they have only tested me for the RA and Lupus, I don't have Lupus, but i may have something else going on, This is hitting my eyes kind of hard. I mean lately. My aunt may have RA but shes stubborn, she said if she does and has had it scince my age, she's bad about doctors, she thinks i have something else also. I have always been one for getting sick. Alleycat i think was the first one to answer me about the eye problem and headache. Last week sometime.

I think i will go dream about karens firemen myself. i hope she dosn't get jellous. lol

I cannot see things far away, and I cannot see things without my glasses everything is just a big fuzzy blur. I cannot even see things on the floor if I am standing up without my glasses. It is awful. I went from having good eyesight to fuzzy blurry.

Nite Milly. Talk to ya tomorrow. Hope you finally fall to sleep.
