After taking a break from epson salt and hydrogen peroxide for awhile, we geared up again last night.

Now that my older daughter is sick with something, too, my world has gotten more surreal. I passed out the antibiotics to half of my family after dinner, then filled a small tub with warm water and epson salt. Sigh.

Little sis asked big sis if she wanted to fizz. Big sis replied, "Huh?" (Due to HIPAA regulations, she has been unaware of our previous fizz sessions).

We explained, and she said, "No!"

We demonstrated, she heard THE WRIST FIZZ, and she said, "Okay!"

(Wrist fizzed only, disappointingly, once. Toe did not audibly fizz, but subject reported feeling fizz sensation for three applications.)

With big sis in agreement to test ES/HP on cellulitis, we began to try to determine a way to soak the affected area just below her knee. We had the same problems Joonie posted about - it was too painful for her to bend too much, and we didn't have the right size container to get her whole lower leg into. I was wary of sticking her into a whole tub, and she didn't feel well enough for that anyway, she said.

So, then what happened???

Nobel Prize winning research takes so long!

Pip

Um, we gave up. I don't turn 82 for several decades, so we are taking our time.

Bucket!

What about a oversized bucket or one of those aluminum beer tubs?  Fill, let her sit in a chair and let her put her leg in up to the knee.

Pip

I looked at buckets we had, but she is really tall for eleven. I'll see if I can get her in the tub later. She's going to have to bathe eventually (I let her slide yesterday), but her pain will probably determine whether it's a bath or shower - standing vs. bending to get in the tub.

Suzanne, I agree with Pip - I would take her back in and let them know that not only has it not improved, it is looking worse.  This is not something to wait and see with, I'm afraid.

Suzanne I am so sorry this is happening on top of everything else.  Your family has really had so much to deal with lately.  I will keep you all in my prayers - I know how hard it is to be a mom in situations like this.

Please keep us updated!

*puts on list: epsom salt & peroxide* *now hopes not to forget again*

Suzanne - we will need that signed HIPPA form from your eldest according to  maryblooms :)   sorry, Nobel Prize Rule #490312(c), section D.  And I hope your oldest is feeling better, there is a vicious flu going on around here.

Pip, I agree, its going to take alot of work to win that Nobel Prize for Fizzing.

I will append that I must have "herxed" last Thurs-Sat, but I finally crawled into the epsom salts/HP bath, and slowly came out of it.   I realized I hadn't felt ill for weeks now, and bam it hit me, so I know something is happening.  And I think my 3-month rheumy appt blood tests the week before caught the little bastages.  Because by Friday and I saw him, I wasn't doing great and my blood work proved it.  Wish I could repull again, now, while I feel good.

Suzanne, I cannot wait for the next installment of your journal for the NP - its been uploaded via imaginary means to a data base compiling our research :)
