Thanks,

Jodi

I take cymbalta for my fibro fog (or dum brain as I call it).  It makes a hugh difference for me.  I am in a constant fog unable to think at all without as well as terrible fatigued.  I have not noticed any side effects.Hi Jodi, I'm fairlly new to this site, and I read your post about Cymbalta.  I was on it for a while for the fibro, and it didn't work for me.  Just to let you know it is also a weight gainer.  My old Rhumie took me off it.  Have they done different tests on you to rule things out?  That's how they diagnose fibro.  Plus people also are prone to having 18 trigger points.  I don't know if you have those either.  Please try and get yourself checked out.  I was only recently diagnosed with RA too.  Good luck to you and let me know how you make out.  God Bless, Dotti51

The weight gain with cymbalta worries me.  I've lost so much muscle the past few months, I would be a mess with added weight.

Fibro can come and go , sometimes very quiclkly, a day an hour, could be a week, three months is the longest i ever had a bad flare everyday. I get little reminders that it is there. Wierd stuff. I hope you don't have it. I don't get it head to toe at the same time. It is very painful in one spot, it just travels. Can hit me anywhere even the bridge of my nose, the muscles will tighten and my nose may start throbbong, an hour later it is my shoulder, My neck and chest may tightening, Could be the tendon in the bottom of my foot. Facial muscles, joints colar bone, shine calf. But it can hurt so so bad. When i get it and it is bad it is almost to late to get the pain under control. I get numdness and muscle twitches ocassionally my arm may sort of quite working for a day or two, or my knee may go out from under me for a day. I have muscles that have hurt i never knew i even had. I hope you don't have.
