Hi all , well here's the info.

I can take a flu shot, already had the pneumonia shot (and got the pneumonia anyway)

NO shingles shot! that's the live virus!!

Lynda , sorry for the confusion

Glad you got the flu and pneumonia shot.  I've gotta make a move in that direction.  I am waiting for the base to get it and vaccinate all the active duty people.  She mentioned something about the pneumonia shot, and I know my last one was about 1997, so it is time.

They wanted me to get an MMR...also a live virus...so say NO to that one too.

Good job, Lynda...talk to you later.

That's one of the first things that I was told to do every year.
I asked why, he said that the flu could turn real nasty because of the meds I'm on.
I've since read and now understand what he was on about.
Bummer...I was hoping to one day get the shingles shot.  I had the chicken pox when I was 32 years old...I think I am definitely in trouble for shingles.I checked out Hep vaccinations and was told that sometimes they don't take with immunosupressed systems.  The pharmacist told me not to bother with it.  I was looking into it for when we went on holiday.  Ended up just getting Tetanus and leaving it at that.
