Hi does anyone know how long it takes to get over the prednisone blues? I've been totally off of it for 17 days and think I'm still suffering from a lack of the dang stuff?
How long does it take to feel like you are off and you aren't suffering from being off??

It seems like i should be able to be without it now? I guess we never feel as good as when we are on it, but I'd just like to know if it is the lack of pred or the disease that's making me feel tired and listless. I took MTX yesterday 20mgs, and felt the same as before I took it. I will not be able to do more Remicade until Fri of next week! i wondered how others have managed to get completely off of this?did you feel tired? I'm not going back on it for awhile no matter how I feel, but just wondering. Lynda
Gosh, I am sorry you are feeling so tired. I went off Prednisone about 3 months ago and I had taken it for a little over 3 years straight. I still feel tired, but I think thats just the disease. I am so glad not to have the moon face anymore, my face actually looks normal now but now I need to lose the 40 lbs I gained while on it.
I do miss the "high" when on it but I don't miss all the bad stuff that goes along with it. Hope this helps honey......Sending huge hugs to you.
I think trying 1/2mg. for a couple of weeks is a good idea. Lynda

Hi, Took 1mg this morning and felt better immediately. Went off to hit a few tennis balls with my hubby, even.!! So, guess I'll keep taking 1 until next sunday, then try the 1/2...again after that. me
