I have arthritis in the base of thumbs on both hands. My left is worse than right and I am considering surgery. I am a freelance photographer and have a wedding to shoot at end of October. Anyone with knowledge of time involved for healing please let me know your experience. Have not scheduled, but would hope to have the surgery by end of August or first week in September. Considering that, will I be able to pick up a camera by Oct. 22nd. Any comments welcome. Thanks....all thumbs not working.
