Good morning to everyone. My son has started college this morning so its very quiet having no one here. ah bliss!!! I hope everyone is ok today and had a good nights sleep. I had my flu jab yesterday and my arm is swollen, red and hot. It should only last for 48 hours so hopefully by tomorrow it will be gone.

Take care

Lisa

Mornin'! Could not sleep at all, just nodded on and off. Bad bone days flare, the weather  is really hard on me plus mother has had a few issues.

Ahhh the college bound, congrats on that. My daughter sat out Fall semester, sure hope she goes this winter.  I was thinking about the flu shot as well, just haven't gotten in to do that and since I am in a flare, it may not be a good idea.

jode

Jode- As long as you havent got a temperature and you havent had abad reaction to the jab before it should be okay ( check with you doc) I am flaring at the moment but I didnt want to end up with flu on top of it, theres a nasty bug going round my part of england at the moment.

Sorry to hear about your mum and that you are feeling bad. I hope you feel better soon

Take care

Lisa

Morning! I am up, but I am going back to bed.

I took all of my sleepy meds before bed last night and I was waiting for them to kick in. I felt it like 45 mins later. I was light headed and my eyes felt like they were going cross-eyed. So I went and laid down and it felt like I would stop breathing for a few seconds. It was like my brain turned off and did not respond to "Hello! Breathe in... breathe out!" It was pretty damn scary, if I do not say so myself.

I am better now. Only 4 hours after the fact. I am breathing again YAY!!

Ok... back to bed, still sleepy. Had to see daughter off to school.

Morning all

Lisa-college big step.  Good luck to him.

I want to be back to bed now that kids are at school but I can't stop blowing my raw nose.  < =text/>_popupControl(); I'm around.  Somewhere lol.  Had some breakfast but going back to bed when Danielle leaves for school. Have to get her meds in her yet.

Last day at 60 mg of pred!!!  You know you are flaring when...the doc says..you are on that much pred and still this puffy??  Cracks me up...this very tall deep voiced distingushed looking man never says swollen...always says "puffy". LOL.  I was so embarrassed because you really sweat a lot when you take that much pred and I was so sweaty at the office and he had to touch me.

Gonna rain and storm AGAIN later tonight.  During the day supposed to be very nice tho.  Maybe I will sit out on the balcony before Danny goes to work.

Danielle's flare is calming down.  Poor kid.  12 years..dealing with this...and on pred (20 mg now for 3 days).  She just really lost it last night.  I just held her while she cried.

Concert tomorrow night for Danielle.  I will post pics of her when I get them!!

aawww poor Danielle...i just wanna hug her....

So, today i have to finish cleaning the house.  Hubby comes home tonight and I wanna have it clean for him.  Not that he cares but yea im doing it anyway.  Going to my sisters house after Kelsay gets out of school.  Gonna take a bin of baby clothes back w/ me since I have more room to store it and most of them are mine anyhow.  Then I have to pick hubby up at the airport.  So i have to drive the truck on the highway  yea not looking forward to that but owell...Theres no back way i dont think...

Hope everyone has a great day!

< =text/>_popupControl(); You will do just fine driving on the highway.  Just remember to whomp it coming out of the toll booths lol.  Highway driving is easy since all you really do is just hit 5th (or 4th if it is a 4 speed) gear and drive along!!

I love baby clothes.  JUST THE CLOTHES!!!  LOL.  I just don't do diapers anymore..that is the privilege that comes with being "Gramma".  Of course I would change them if no one else was around to do it.  But I have paid my dues!!  My favorite baby thing to do....baths.  I love giving a baby a bath.  Nice quiet bonding time.  And the way they smell and how soft their skin is when you are all done.  That I do miss.  Giving the girls a bath and bundling them up in a towel when we were all done and just giving them a little snuggling.  Now I'm lucky to get a kiss on the cheek before they run out of the door in the morning for school!!  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!  I WANT MY BABIES BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta get off this high dose of pred.  According to my taper time line..gonna be a few weeks.  Thank goodness you guys understand and bear with me!!!

Hey Jode, I would get the jab if I was you, the flu that was here in Oz this winter just gone was deadly, we had kids dying from it, don't want to scare you but my GP said make sure you get that and pneumococcal jabs.

Hope you feel better soon.

Lisa glad you are getting some quiet time.

Gramma, I can relate to the sweating on the pred, and Endone causes it big time too, it can be very embarrassing, my hair is nearly always wet!!!

Take care all, hugs Janie.

Good Morning Sunshine!

Well, ok, it is overcast, foggy and cold!!!  Hate winter!!!

In spite of going to Urologist and their "findings" I slept ok last night.  I NEED Remicade!!!  I have to wait until Halloween like Lizzie! (3rd one)  Hoping it stays in the system.  Woke up stiff, more swollen, and walking like my grams used too (died a week before her 97th birthday).  I will go today and get the spinal series xrays...got to see what the back is doing!

Lizzie...I can't wait until I can be a grandmomma!  I have told my kids for years...that is the only reason I had them, and if I could just skip to grandmomma, I would have!  I did love the baths, but I guess I loved feeding them, just magical to sit and feed the kids, and talk to them and them jabber back.  Maybe that is why I ended up with a son that talks at least as much as my daughter.  Gosh, the things they don't tell you in that parenting book.

Well, I got to get the critter's up and out to school.

Lizzie...please give Danielle a hug for me, and keep some for yourself.  That is my biggest prayer...that none of my kids will be affected by this.  However, because I have the gene assoc.  I am afraid that it might just happen.

So sorry Jode you are flaring.  Take good care of yourself and stay warm today.  Get lots of rest and drink a lot of water! Hugs to you.

Joonie...get off the davoset!  I think unless you are going to take the pills twelve hours from each other...you may be causing more harm than good.  Have you ever had a panic attack?  The fear of not breathing can be that, if it was a fear.  You need a pain reliever that is better.  I would rather you be on Advil or Naproxem, than the darvoset.  Take care, and be careful!!!!

janie- I'm begining to wish i hadnt had my flu jab

Shannon- you will be fine on the highway. I used to dread driving on our motorways but once i had done it a few times it became ok( just hate the traffic jams.

Hey there!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for neighbors!

Shannon, I love driving on the highway.  You will do just fine.  Use your wings girl and FLY!!!  We are women hear us roar!

Liz so sorry to hear about Danielle.  Being a teen is hard enough, JRA is just the pits.

I'm going to be doing craft projects today for the haunted house, so I'm happy.  I love to get crafty!

OMG so i just did something that I havet done in a long time..I made breakfast...ok so i do make breakfast every day but today i actually "made" it ..i made us scrambled eggs and potato pancakes (Thanks to Liz)

< =text/>_popupControl(); Get your flu and pneumonia shots everyone!!!!!  I got my flu shot while I was in the hospital.  So I guess maybe it doesn't matter if you are flaring??  *shrugs*.  As always tho...call and ask your doc about it!!  Please remember: NO LIVE VACCINES!!!!

Awww thanks everyone for the hugs for Danielle.  I will pass them on to her.  She needs all of them she can get.  I just feel so bad for her.  I know what all this feels like for me...I can't imagine what it is like for her at 12 years old.  I just really held her and stroked her long pretty hair and told her that I can understand a little bit how she feels and that I am always there for her.  She is going to activity night on Friday night at school to do some swimming.  It will do her some good to release some of that pred energy and just be around her friends and forget about this dang JRA crud for awhile.

Yer welcome for the potato pancakes Shannon.  Wasn't that just yummy???  I'm going to ask for another one today lol.

Karen...you are crafty TO BEGIN WITH!!!  LOL!!!

Here's a ha ha funny for everyone.  Came home from the doc office yesterday and got the mail out of the mailbox.  Glanced at it real quick and thought there was something from my MIL in it.  But Danielle kept saying that the writing was Dad's handwriting.  Got upstairs and took a good look at the envelope.  Danny had addressed the envelope containing a money order for his mom...to HIMSELF instead of his MOM!!!

I am off back to bed for a bit!!  Got some sleep last night but it was very broken up sleep and not a deep sleep.

Just got up and everyone has been here and gone. Some night I'm going to stay up and beat everyone to start the next day's chat. I took the 9th graders on the walking tour of the old village yesterday and my ankle is killing me. Taking a Vicodin before I left the house worked for the 3 hour walk in the cold, but I'm sure sore today. Typical high schoolers, they wouldn't shut up and didn't dress warm enough for freezing, windy weather.

Mini pred rage yesterday at work.  Dr was being overly anal, patients were being feral, I just wanted to rip all their heads off!

The podiatrist showed me the shoes she wants me to wear.......how seriously depressing. (might have had something to do with my mood at work

Liz, sounds like Danny is the one with the pred brain at the moment

Hey everybody!!!

Well, My body is hurting today and all I've wanted to sleep for past week now. Hope everyone has a good day and to all that are not feeling well....

Love you guys

Sorry to all you who aren't feeling well.  Especially Danielle, just cuz it's worse for a kid to have to deal with all this.

I got my first flu and pnumonia shots today.  Hardly felt them at all, no problems afterward. Sorry it's been harder for you Pin.  Hopefully it'll settle down soon.

Had lunch at Panera with my mom.  They have really good chicken soup.  Better than mine, and my kids say I make the best.  Maybe they just say that cuz they like me

It's a very nice day today, sunny and in the 70's.  Didn't think we'd have anymore days like this, so it's an excellent bonus.

My son is so sweet. He came in the room and gentally asked me if i wanted to know what time it was. If you want to sleep that is fine he said. He just wanted to make sure i hadn't slept threw something i had wanted to do. Or needed to do. He is out getting me food. Yesterday he called me a crazy lady. I was. Does anyone react well to hi dose pred? I do not. He said he was tired of women using medicine as an exscuse to act crazy. His ex is bi polar. His daughter's mother had a hysterectomy and had been out of her hormon pills recently. Then they go put his mom on pred. The poor guy. I have scared him for life. I told him sorry i will a valium, he said yea sure you will. That was yesterday. Today is taking care of me. Yesterday he said he needed to be somewhere away from women as they all nuts. I see where he is coming from. I assured him i wouldn't be like this for ever just temporary. Anyway i only have one more 20 mg of pred left and i will go down to 10mg. and stay there for awhile. I don't want to be a crazy lady.Well, Milly.  I'm glad your son is being nice to you today.  I think he needs a smack upside the head for yesterday though.  How old is he?Well he got a smack up side, verbally of course, the head yesterday. But i really think i started it. I mean i , i think people forget for a minite or two sometimes that your sick. He was fixing the banaster to the basement and asked me where i had put the screws and i went off on him. He was trying to be helpful. He just forgot it hurt me to walk for a minute. He is 28. The rest of my family has abandoned me for a couple of days. They havn't even called. They can't handle it. My brother said he would be back yesterday and he dissappeared. Didn't call or come back nothing. Care takers have there break down moments also. My oldest son always takes the challenge. Not just with me but with other family members to.Oh, well then I guess he gets some slack if you bit his head off. < =text/>_popupControl(); Aw Pammy ((((hugs))) to you.  I know exactly how that pred rage goes.  It can be just one tiny little thing and WHAMMO!!!  I know how you feel too Milly.  Guys tho...they have a weird way of handling things when we get like this from meds.  They actually DO care...but have a different way of showing frustration at situations.  Milly...your son probably isn't mad at you...just mad at the circumstances he can't control. Like his mom being sick...he can't do anything to make that better...he can't do anything to make the side effect of the pred better...and for men...not being able to "fix" something...makes them very frustrated...and for men...frustration turns into anger.

Milly...it is ok to tell people...today is a day of rest that I really need.  Tomorrow will be a better day for me and I will be able to enjoy and welcome your company and the help you want to give me.  Make sure you tell them you appreciate everything they do for you.

Angy...hope you are enjoying your day of leisure.

Nini...since when do teenagers dress right for anything??  LOL!!  You need to rest now too after your walk.

Looks like BIL is coming for the week next week.  He has some major issues going on right now and needs to get his head straight.  I know I'm really sick but my BIL is awesome person and his coming will actually give Danny and the girls a little break from taking care of me and taking care of the house.  This guy LOVES to clean lol.  And it's CLEAN!!  The way us women like it clean lol.

Yes it has gotten to be that time. For the sign on the door. I am better in a strange sort of way than yesterday. Some symtems left. Like at a different stage or something. I can't fiqure out if i have RA and fibro or if i am just systemic. As I know the heat and swelling feeling is the same in the joints that are swelled as well as the ones that arn't . And i have fluid all the way down my shin. I have a lumpy shin. And the feeling was heat and fuzzy in my muscles as well as the swollen joint. my head and hand fell better and the swelling is down. And the fever is better.

You've probably said before, but what does the doctor say Milly?  Does he/she not yet know if you have RA or fibro?  I know he knows you have something because you take pred and you have pain meds too.  When will you see him again?

And yes, turn off the phone, put a note on the door, and take care of yourself for a day or two.  It might be just what you need.

Any way today i could care less what is wrong with me. My fatique is back and i cherish it as i was so wired on the higher dose pred. Sleep is good sometimes. And my joints are being nice to me, they are sort of taking turns. At least not all acting up at once.I think we posted at the same time, go back one page and read my last post < =text/>_popupControl(); Milly...lay around today...and get those legs up!!!  Elevate, elevate, elevate!!!  RA and fibro thru stages all the time.  It is always figuring out what do I do now and trying different things out to help relieve symptoms.  If you can stand it...you might want to try ice for 15 minutes on your shins every hour.  Even tho I can't stand ice most of the time...in the hospital we found out that if I wrap an ice pack around the bottom of my leg...it helps to take care of the swelling in both my knee and foot.  I have a fancy ice pack from the hospital...but at home make sure you wrap the ice pack in a towel before placing it against the skin.

Oh great....Danielle just came and told me that it feels like she has to pee all the time and that it burns when she does.  Sigh.  Stupid pred.  ARGH.  Have a call into the doc office already.  Hopefully they will just call something in for her. I will have Danny stop after work and get her some Cranberry juice.  Fortunately she loves the stuff.  Karen...you mentioned something else that would help til the antibiotics kicked in and I can't remember what it is  She is on pred and this can be a side effect from it.  Poor kid.  She is just really taking the hits lately.  Have to have Danny take her to Dairy Queen after the concert tomorrow for a Cotton Candy Blizzard.

Hola folks. Here at work bored as hell.

Justin called to tell me that I got a package from my parents. Birthday stuff!! Yay!! A girl I work with got me hair clippies that are ADORABLE. I'm in love with them. Hehehe

Liz- do you get something there called citrus soda( buy it from a pharmacy) you mix the powder with water and it has a lemony taste. I use it all the time for bladder infections, it really good.Oh i do have RA. Some people i guess have both. I have always been told i have fibro. I just have been feeling like i have RA and scleraderma. I never say that word. See the bridge of my nose throbs alot all the time and my chest and rib cage are always tight. Same as in my forearms. I do have RA and something. It is whats the something. But today i din't care. Because some of my something was swollen to? Can you keep up. I can't. But i am stuck in the middle of it. I have RA but i am still under investication. Surely the specialist will fiqure it out.

When do you see the specialist, Milly?

Greetings katie.  Can't wait to hear what's in the box!!!

Oh gee January. I suppose if i am on my death bed they will get me in sooner. My regular Doc has to get me started. He is trying. At least he is really nice and is my freind. Caring can do a lot. And he knows all my stuff he has seen it. Forgive typing Dad is calling.

Oh me either!!!! I won't find out till tonight. Oh well!!

I'm almost done with the application for Children in Crisis! I just chatted with my old daycare director and she said "oh my god....you have more guts than me...." LOL She's a wussy though, but I love her. I have her down as one professional reference, and my boss here as another, and I need a third. I'm waiting for an e-mail back from a girl I know, asking if she would mind being it. As soon as I get that, I can fax this over TODAY. yay!!!

And I have Karen's WONDERFUL letter of reccomendation attached as well.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!

AND I JUST CANT HIDE IT, IM ABOUT TO LOSE CONTROL AND I THINK I LIKE IT..................(THINK IT WAS FROM BEVERLY HILLS COP)

Katie i am SO EXCITED for you

Yes....I have lost the plot, I think the flu jab has gone to my head < =text/>_popupControl(); Hi KatieBrat!!!!

Lisa...never heard of the stuff you are talking about for the bladder infection.

Oh oh oh...I finally got one of those foot bath thingies with the heat and bubbles and massaging!!!  Danny found one at the thrift store for me!!!  I LOVE IT!!!  Next thing...paraffin bath for the ole hands!!!

Katers....hmmm....dontcha just love bday presents that are late.  Its like having yer bday all over again lol.  And this time...with no speeding ticket!!!  I see you finally changed your age in your signature!!!  HAHAHAHA!!!!  Dang it...now I have no choice but to conceed to your 24-ness lol.  Bah!!!

Hi Linncn!!!!

LOL

Liz the stuff I told you to buy and KEEP in the house is Uristat.  It is over the counter and will get a girl through the pain of bladder infections until she can get to the doctor, and even after you start antibiotics.  It numbs the urinary tract and takes away the feeling you have to go all the time.  Does make your pee look funky and stains your undies though.  But it's great stuff cause it works pretty fast!

Katie glad to hear about the application!  Woo Hoo, step one down.  Keep going, grasshopper, you will achieve your goals.

Lincoln  my brother was on vacation when grandad had stroke. He works for halaburtan in iraq. So know he dosn't live with me. My son came from across the country to take care of me. We keep him a room here. I have had both flares with swelling RA and flares with out fibro. I just got alot more fatique issues and other stuff new stuff or worse stuff going on this time. My sis was living with me but we got her a big house she has three kids. My house isn't that big. I keep a revolving door here. I have a big family and my kids and younger syblings are about the same age. I have a two bed room house lovely big kitchen. Full basement with fireplace and pool table. My son keeps a room down stairs. He is self employed and has the freedom to work from lap top and cell phone. So he just came here to see why i was sleeping for a month and a half. It scared him.

Good Milly, I'm glad that you aren't alone.

Hi Liz

Katie, so did you open the box?

No Link, it's at home. I'm at work!!!  Wake up!

< =text/>_popupControl(); Yes mother...now that I can remember what it is I was supposed to get I have called Danny and left him a message to get the stuff on his way home along with the cranberry juice.

Hahahahaha Katie can not open the box from her parents til she gets home from work tonight lol.  She has to wait in suspense til then lol.

Had homemade pizza for dinner tonight.  It was yummy.

There is a fly in my house that no one can seem to catch and dispose of.  My dog...whom one would think would eat the fly...just watches it buzz around his head and dive bomb me.

OMG I was driving with the windows down the other day, and a HUGE dog fly got in the car, and kept flying between the seat and my back. It was FREAKY!! Stupid things.

Oh, we are suffering from red tide SO BAD. I can't stop coughing. :( I'm so afraid I'm gonna get sick. Damn Florida.

A huge dog fly. You mean a horse fly. Those things bite. Itches for a long time if they bite me. I don't like them.

I thought it was all gone, Katie!  It's back again?  Yuck!

So do you have any guesses what's in the mystery box?  What are you hoping for?

Liz, glad you listened to mom!

They call them dog flies here. My family in WI calls them horse flies too. Hehe They're probably the same thing. I got bit once when I was like 3, my whole leg swelled up! Took me to the ER, worried I was gonna shock out, but I never did. I hope to NEVER get bit again. I sat SO still!!!!Yeah Katie, just for that, I hope it's a box full of grandma undies.

It seems like everybody with one autoimmune disease ends up with more than one.  Ever see anyone who ONLY gets RA?

Yeah, Katie WAS a bit harsh with you Link!  She deserves some big ol panties and some ugly over-the-shoulder-boulder-holders!

LMAO Justin says the box is heavy. I really have no idea. I know that my great uncle left me an old old old coin, and mom was thinking about sending it. But I think she may have kept it cause she's afraid of the mail. I'll get it from her in December. He was really excited for me to have it. I haven't seen him since I was in grade school. I guess he's been really bad off in his nursing home, and has started giving his things away, so they all go to the right people. He got lost and stuck in a field on his scooter, it was even in the news paper! I don't think they let him out anymore. Poor guy.

At the moment, this is some of the worst red tide we've had in YEARS. My chest is killing me. *sigh*

< =text/>_popupControl(); Red tide?  That was a very bad mental picture for me.  What the heck is red tide?  A tide makes you cough?  I'm so confused < =text/>_popupControl(); Nasty Katie...that means I would not be able to open my windows etc.

I think flypaper is in the box.

Why fly paper? LoL

yeah you'd be one MISERABLE chicky if you were here right now. It's a BI-ATCH! We haven't had it in a few years though, which is odd. Now the first year I was here, it was so bad the water was pink and even normal people were getting pneumonia. Sick people were being hospitalized!!

I could never live there. Sorry anyone has to put up with that.

"Sick people were being hospitalized."

Imagine that???

< =text/>_popupControl(); Flypaper to catch your homoginized dog/horse fly of course.

YOu smart ass. I meant sick people, like asthmatics(sp???) and stuff, who were exposed to it ended up in the hospital.

Lizzie shut up.

Man I hate you all. *slams bedroom door*

She's so dramatic!  Imagine, hissy fits at her age!LOL Karen!!!

I'm gonna change that to say "14" instead.

Hell, it's the internet, who's gonna know!

Last time about two years ago i was on pred and had a fight with myboy friend. I kicked the door really hard. I had just had knee surgery. I thought boy that was stupid. I am normally not violent.

Sounds like you're pretty good at throwing hissy fits yourself Milly!!

< =text/>_popupControl(); Come out of that room right now and shut that door the proper way young lady.  Didn't we just have a talk about the proper display of your feelings???

And I don't have to shut up.  I am on the highest dose of oral pred I have ever been on in my life.  That is my excuse and I am sticking to it.  So neener.

how much, liz?

only when i am on high dose pred. I am really not a hissy fit person.

when the kids were little was the first time anyone gave me pred. I yelled at my little boy because his shoe was untied.  Then i walked the pred to the trash can and threw it in. I decided they would have to come up with another solution to help me breath.

< =text/>_popupControl(); 60 mg til tomorrow when I drop to 50 mg for 3 days...then 40 for 3 days etc...til I am finally at 10 mg maintenance for who knows how dang long lol.  Yes, I am a very sick in-di-vid-u-al right now lol.  This flare has been just amazing in severity and length.  I was on 240 mg total daily IV solu medrol daily while I was in the hospital for those 4 days.

Let's just say the past week has been a very interesting period in my life lol.  Have never experienced anything like this before.  Great to learn from tho.  Had some truly wonderful introspective moments into my life and some of the changes that I need to make with it.  Had some bummed out crying times a couple of times too because of the changes I need to make.  All in all...I have learned and will probably keep on learning from it all.  Anyways...if I wasn't so sick and having to rest this much...I probably wouldn't be on the board right now lol.

< =text/>_popupControl();
A woman calls her boss one morning and tells him that she is staying home because she is not feeling well.

"What's the matter?" he asks.

"I have a case of anal glaucoma," she says in a weak voice.

"What the hell is anal glaucoma?"

"I can't see my ass coming into work today."
< =text/>_popupControl();30 minutes..........

I'll send Katie a pair of those shoes I  am supposed to wear

I swear, they are worse than the thought of turning 50 next year.

We call dog/horse flies march flies in Aus

What causes painful tendons in different parts of the body.  The tendons on the inside of my thighs are so painful I can hardly touch them (but you know how you feel compelled to massage).  I actually am buised on the lower inside of both thighs.

< =text/>_popupControl(); These are REAL 911 Calls!

Dispatcher : 9-1-1 What is your emergency?
Caller: I heard what sounded like gunshots coming from the brown
house on the corner.
Dispatcher: Do you have an address?
Caller: No, I have on a blouse and slacks, why?

Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What is your emergency?
Caller : Someone broke into my house and took a bite out of my ham
and cheese sandwich .
Dispatcher : Excuse me?
Caller : I made a ham and cheese sandwich and left it on the kitchen
table and when I came back from the bathroom, someone had
taken a bite out of it.
Dispatcher : Was anything else taken?
Caller : No, but this has happened to me before and I'm sick and tired
of it!

Dispatcher: 9-1-1
Caller: Yeah, I'm having trouble breathing. I'm all out of breath.
Darn....I think I'm going to pass out.
Dispatcher: Sir, where are you calling from?
Caller: I'm at a pay phone. North and Foster.
Dispatcher: ! Sir, an ambulance is on the way. Are you an asthmatic?
Caller: No
Dispatcher: What were you doing before you started having trouble
breathing?
Caller: Running from the Police.

Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What is the nature of your emergency?
Caller: I'm trying to reach nine eleven but my phone doesn't have
an eleven on it.
Dispatcher: This is nine eleven .
Caller: I thought you just said it was nine-one-one
Dispatcher: Yes, ma'am nine-one-one and nine-eleven are the same
thing.
Caller: Honey, I may be old, but I'm not stupid.

Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What's the nature of your emergency?
Caller: My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two
minutes apart
Dispatcher: Is this her first child?
Caller: No, you idiot! This is her husband!I think your so brave Liz. I really would not have put myself threw this much pred had i not really needed it. Tomorrow i start my maintance dose at 10mg for how ever long. The coming down part is always the hardest. I am hoping the worst is over pred wise i mean. I guess we learn that we never know what to expect out of life. It is amasing how we adapt. But when we feel better i will race you to the door.Bladder infections cause me pain on inside of thigh and cramping also.Well im just checking in before I go to bed...Went to my sisters house to help her go through clothes for her youngest (10 months)and I took 2 boxes w/ me that was Kelsays or my little cousins clothes..Thought it was silly for her to store them when most of them are mne to begin with.  Picked hubby up from the airport....I guess thigs went well in PA, as good as can be expected really.  So i was sayin the other day that the trucks driver side window was off the track and fell into the door....well i have been trying to roll it up to try and fix it the past 2 days and what happens when hubby gets in the truck when i picked him up? He goes to roll it up and its fine!!!!  LOL  that just figures  < =text/>_popupControl(); I don't know if I am necessarily brave or not...but I have to do what I have to do for me and for my family.  And if that means mucking through the side effects of this pred for a bit..then that is what it means.  I have not only me to think about...but my husband and kids and I want to be well for them too.

You will still win a race for the door even when I am done with pred.  Well...at least until my knee gets replaced lol.

At least she didn't cut her hair the day before photos like my son.  He took a chunk out of the middle of his forehead.  And the photo looked like he was on death row.  We always bring it out and mention the saying on the ouside of the photo card "School days are happy days"

My old car was the same way.

< =text/>_popupControl(); OMG hilarious Pam.  I don't know why it is that kids always look goofy in those school pictures.  It is like the people who take them are trained to snap the pic at just the wrong time.  We gave up doing school pics.

Pammy...ease up on the hubby a little bit. Give yourself a break from the sheet shimmy for a couple of nights and maybe the tendons on the inside of your thighs wouldn't hurt so badly.  Or use some extra pillows for propping.  Or maybe get one of those fancy shmancy swing thingies.

Evening ladies!Karen, yea I told him...Which made him laugh when it went up for him.

I'll scan the pic tomorrow and show you guys....she does have a bruise right in the middle of her forehead that i tried to coverup but it didnt work...Hopefully retakes turn out betterHey there Ginger!cheeky girl lizzie.

Here's the local red tide article with pictures and a video!

http://www.nwfdailynews.com/article/9635

Just please.........ignore the people who comment on the article.. *sigh* the local paper has some regulars who are just total morons.

Shannon, if I were you, I would keep those photos.  You will LOVE them when she's older.  Who needs photos of them looking perfect - they are kids, and we want to remember them as they were, goofy smiles and all!

I have one of Jamie's, I think it's 2nd grade, and he has a boogie in his nose - not hanging out or anything, but you can see it clearly.  You KNOW I kept that one!!!

Okay I'm gonna go home! I'll be back on here later tonight, I'm sure.going to take a little rest. Tell mona i said hello, if i fall asleep.

Hey Ginger!~  I had an errand to run, just got home.  Liz, I took 60 mg of pred for a while too.

Did anyone see that website where there is the silhoette of a girl twirling.  Depending on the way you see her turn, clockwise or counter, it's supposed to indicate whether you're left or right brained.

So what are you Link - left or right brained?

Hi Link!

If I ignore ya'll for a while, it's cuz I'm trying to catch up on posts. Didn't sign on yesterday, so I've got a bit of reading to do.

Brisen did you watch Private Practice? How's Molly?

hey CinDee how are ya?

Oh yes they are. LoL I also got a bottle of airplane wine.........apparently my grandparents got it on their flight over to see us in UK back in 1988. The bottle is dated 1987, and it's a german white wine. Mmmm I'm tempted to try it, but I don't want to open it at the same time... Molly's doing better tonight. She hasn't puked or poo'd for the past 4 hours.

Katie, I wanted to comment on the red tide. My mom, and sisters went to Pensacola for a week of "girl time" on the beach during a red tide. It was awful! All of us were on our monthly so we always call that time of the month "red tide". That was years ago. We all stayed in the hotel room and watch the ocean from the window and got drunk. LOL

LMAO Yep, I hear ya! Now that I'm home I feel MUCHO better. Haven't coughed since I walked in the door! How would you like the job of picking up all the dead fish?!!! EWWW!!!

 How funny Cindee!

White wine is the best Katie! Good for your mom and dad, they sound cool!

Glad Molly is doing better, poor thing.

Lizzie yelled at me and said I can't open the wine. LOL I have to save it for a nice occasion. Haha

I also got cow pencils, and some emu oil soap!! I'm excited about that!

Katie, that red tide crap sounds terrible!

I'm gonna have to leave early tonight guys, hubby wants to go to bed, and I have to keep an eye on Molly. See if I can get her to drink something to keep something before I go to bed.

Talk to ya'll tomorrow! Love ya's!!!
