Hey all, I think after all of this time the Rem is finally working. Started in April!!I'm not even 'chomping at the bit' for Friday to come, I'll go of course, but I don't feel really anxious. Took a 1/2 mg of prednisone today which isn't bad. So, everyone who is considering this super drug please know it has helped me a lot! Lynda
So very happy for you Lynda. If I could I would do a happy dance, but I think I would come disassembled! Love ya, shel

That is fantastic!!! I am so very happy for you!!!!! Sometimes...it just takes time for this stuff to kick in. Lindy...I find the same things fascinating about remicade that you do too. I like the fact that the dosage can be played with like that. Lynda, So glad the Remicade is helping you! I, too, have found it to be a wonderful med. Like you, too, I recently had intractable flare pain (just 8 days after my infusion) that had to be treated with methylprednisolone. That stuff works so fast...amazing. The good part is that one week later I am still doing fantastic. Of course, I am staying up too late watching the playoffs on TV. Go Tribe!!! Molly Bee who thinks Franklin Gutierrez is just adorable! Congrats! Pip Please everyone, stay brave. We can fight this 'stuff'!! Love ya, Lynda

Hi Billy...nice to see you around again. Well..I am glad that you are feeling better and hope it is a long term feeling better. Your question can be a little hard to answer. It could be that the remicade has finally just kicked and really started to do its job like it is supposed to. It can take 3-6 infusions for the med to build up in your system and become effective. I do have to question tho that if you are STILL taking 50 mg of tramadol 3-4 times a day if the remicade really is working. Do you know if they raised your dose of remicade when you had your last infusion? Usually they raise the dose at the 4th infusion. It could also be that adding celebrex also contributed to you starting to feeling better since it is an anti inflammatory. The only way to really tell...is to stop using the celebrex. Not sure if that is a good idea. You might want to call your doc and tell them what you have told us and then they can tell you whether or not they think it is the celebrex or just that the remicade is finally working. Yeah...the meds can cause stomach issues. Many of us here have them especially if you are on mtx or an NSAID. Pred can also be heck on the stomach. I have protonix to take when I am on pred and it is tearing up my stomach. I like protonix because it stops the problem before it even starts. Mtx can cause the diarhhea. Do you take the mtx in pills or inject? How high is the dose of your mtx? Hope that helped you out! Congrats Lynda!!!!
Love ya
So glad to hear it is working for you!! Flareups are a reminder that there is a devil!!! Annoying bugger!
