Does anyone here drive a minivan? | Arthritis Information

I was just wondering if anyone on the board drove a minvan and what kind do you have?  We are going up north for Thanksgiving and I am really dreading the trip.  I thought I would be so nice to have a van in case I needed to lay down and rest.

I drive a buick rendezvous and I love it, it is very comfortable and very good on gas, we also have a lincoln that takes second place to the rendezvous.  When we purchased the lincoln we said that we would drive it on sunday's and special occassions.  It has spent most of its life in the garage.  we drive the buick.  I would recommend it.

< =text/>_popupControl(); We were thinking of getting a mini van because it would be practical for my family and also easily adaptable for a wheel chair lift etc.  Right now we have an SUV and in a week or so purchasing a Subaru Outback Sport.

We've owned a Ford Windstar and a Dodge Caravan.  The Ford was ok...but I absolutely love the Dodge.

We have owned minivans for years.  We owned three Dodge Grand Caravans, and now have a Toyota Sienna.  I prefer the comfort and size of the Caravans.

We used to take out the middle row of seats (the new ones nowadays you could just fold down under the floor).  Then we would put an airmattress on the floor where our kids could sleep on long trips.  It was perfect, we still had three seats with belts for them when they were sitting up, but a place where they could also lay down and sleep.

Have a wonderful trip!  Just take plenty of breaks and get out and move around so you don't get so stiff.  How exciting - isn't it great to have something to look forward to?

I have a Dodge Caravan outfitted for my wheelchair with a ramp, etc. and I love it.  I drive it too.

I have a Chevy Lumina. I love it! Nice and big, but all the seats come out as well. Would be very easy to remove one row of seats and throw down an air mattress. WE have a chyrsler Town and Country and I can't say enough about removing the middle seat when we go on a long time. I am the Queen of the florr LOL with lots of sleeping bags for comfort!Dodge...134,000 miles on her  with No problems My parents got a lightly used Honda Odyssey and they love it. Rent one and see how you like it.

We drive to Minnesota a few times a year to visit relatives.  It's about a 7-hour drive.  We always rent a van when we make trip - it's the best of both worlds.  We get a clean, well-maintained van for the occasional road trip, and for routine daily driving, we still have our small Saturn sedans.
I have a Dodge Caravan stow and go with electric doors. I really like it but
we really only use it to haul our canoe. The elecric doors are really nice
especially when you have lots of problems with wrist, finger pain. makes it
very convenient. We have both a chrysler caravan and a chevy lumina.  I love the caravan with the 2 sliding doors, it is easier for my mother to get into the van behind the driver's side because it doesn't have the space between the bench and the door like the other side,so she doesn't have to try and lift and scooch.  I find the seats are comfortable in front and easy for me to drive this vehicle.  meme
