Weird pain....RA or something else? | Arthritis Information

Well I have not been posting for a while but I have been lurking lol! Anywho...I have been feeling a flare coming on (general feeling of being sick, increasing morning stiffness, increased swelling in my toes and hands), but today I am so uncomfortable I can barely stand it! But its not my joints, it feels like growing pains. Like a deep bone or muscular pain in my left leg. Its concentrated from mid-thigh to mid calf and seems to be creeping up to my hip. Its such a dull constant ache :( Has anyone ever had pain like this associated with their RA? I still don't have a definitive diagnosis although the blood work every 6 weeks is showing a constant creeping up of the RF, but sed and other tests stay at 0.

It also hurts really bad to have the slightest pressure on my leg. Sitting is almost excruciating in my thigh and knee.
Yep, I have that kind of "creeping" pain in my arms.  It's coming from the shoulders, but hurts all the way down.  I also get it in my legs too sometimes.Jessica, if you have a flare coming on and the pain is that bad in your leg, please call your RD.  He may be able to help you.  Don't live with that kind of pain.  LindyI hate calling my RD :( All he ever tells me to do is to take some advil, which helps a whole ton

< =text/>_popupControl(); Jessica...almost sounds as if you should be looking for another RD.  One that listens to what you are telling them.

I am not wondering if the pain you are having is from a damaged nerve.  Sounds like what I went thru last year when I damaged a nerve at the back of my knee.  The same kind of pain and my foot would swell up.  It sometimes still bothers me if I am really swollen that day.

If it gets any worse before Monday..go to the ER.  Sounds like you also need some better pain control besides Advil.  If you can hold out over the weekend...definitely call Monday and get in ASAP.

Hope you feel better soon!!

I agree with everybody, honey, got to the er if it gets any worse.
