Enbrel question related to drowsiness | Arthritis Information

Hi Everyone!!

I am a first timer to this forum, but have already learned some great information just reading past topics :)

I have received my 1st Enbrel injection yesterday and I am feeling very,  sleepy.  I remember taking a sleeping pill a long, long time ago and it seems that I am almost feeling the same way when waking up the next morning.  Also my face seems puffy especially my eye area. Has anyone had any similiar reactions with Enbrel? I have read all the material on the side effects of Enbrel and it does state drowsiness as one of them, I am just not sure to what extend it can become dangerous.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Hi Pebbles. I can't answer your question because I don't know much about
enbrel, but I wanted to say welcome to the forum and I like your "name". < =text/>_popupControl(); I am not sure about Enbrel making you sleepy since I am not on it.  I just wanted to welcome you to the board.  Hang in there tho...someone will be along that will have an answer to your question!!!  Welcome!  I take enbrel and my husband is careful with the time he gives it to me.  I conk out about 2 hours after receiving.  Makes me VERY tired all at once.  The next day I am fine.  I hope this helps. I took Enbrel for three years and it never make me tired or sleepy at all.  Maybe it will wear off eventually.  Good luck!I just had my first injection on Sunday, due for the second tomorrow. I can't say that it made me sleepy.  It did make my stomach upset. But I think that is because I was nervous. Maybe take it a little while before bed? Welcome Pebbles!!!!!!!  I've been taking enbrel since the spring and have not had any side effects except for a slight site reaction that lasts a day or two.  I guess it affects everyone differently.I guess I should clarify my answer a bit.  The horrible fatigue that I have had for the past 2 years has gotten much better on enbrel, I just get the fatigue about 2 hours after the injections. Thanks everyone for responding to my question and making me feel welcome!!!!
