Nodules in Feet | Arthritis Information

Recently, I have been having problems with nodules in the arches under both of my feet.  I am wondering if it has something to do with RA?  Besides stiff, my feet get real sore sometimes.  I had the biggest problem with my feet and ankles for over a year before being dx'd with RA.  Anyone else have something like this?

I also have nodules on my feet. Definitely they're from the RA.  If they're causing a lot of problemms for you though, you should let your doctor know.

Can you see them or just feel them?  maybe a stupid question, I don't know much about nodules except that they can come with RA.

I can see them...they stick out.  But mine don't hurt when I touch/push on them.  But I'm sure with lcater's being on the bottom of her/his? feet, that would cause some discomfort.

In the morning they aren't sore, just after I have been walking around for a while.  I don't think the nodules are what's sore, I think it's the pressure on what's around them.  Yes, I can see them lined up along the tendon that streches from heel to toes, especially on the rt foot.  I discovered them from rubbing my sore feet.  Diffinitely can't wear the Berkenstocks the dr. in TX rx'd - they have a pronouned arch support.  I read that nodules usually happen on elbows, knees, hands and the other usual RA places.  There are so many joints in that part of the foot that it seems possible to me that these started with the swelling, etc. in my feet from the RA.  I didn't notice them until after the first swelling incident.  Now my feet are so generally tender that I don't like walking barefoot around the house anymore. I always have to wear soft soled shoes. lcarter39376.2272569444

Hi, I saw a woman's nodules, when I was having Remicade friday. They were pretty big and on her wrists. She said they didn't hurt, but it was a clue for her to get to the RD. I also saw some on a woman's elbow joints. She was in so much pain and the bumps were scaring her. She was crying, but I don't know if it was just RA stress, the pain in general ? or the nodules. The doctor said not to worry about them....easy for him to say. I felt so sorry for her.

Anyway, I appreciate the shared knowledge, every bit of info is good. Lynda

I have a lump in the 'arch' of my left foot. (I have flat feet

My rd said it was a left over from the really bad case of plantar-phasia tendonitis I had 4 years ago. The tendon has been thickened from being so inflamed. Not sure I believe him, 'cause that wasn't where the big inflammation and all the pain was.

I have tons of foot problems but I don't think there are any nodules there.  Just no fat pads and when I walk there is no cushion for the bones.  I did have a huge nodule on my elbow before I was dxed and it did disappear after about 2 years of treatment.  It never hurt but sure looked awful.  If you can get some custom orthotics it might help balanced weight for you.
