RD is upping MTX to 17.5 a week and filled paperwork out to auth.to start Enbrel(2 -25mg shots a week)should start in a week -had TB test today.and staying at 10 mg prednisone a week for now.He up prednisone to 15 mg for this weekend for the wedding,he said so I can enjoy myself.Only good news was didn't gain anymore weight.Oh and I found some shoes.And he has me on water pills.Hopefully relief is around the corner,talk to you after wedding,SherrySherry, congrats on the shoes. I'm envious that you get some new meds. My rheumy has talked twice now about adding new meds but he says he isn't ready to move me to the biologics. Still on mtx and lots of pred. Cris, I hate to say it but I think you aren't being offered the biologics because your insurance is HMO. You might consider appealing it? You have been on the other meds long enough to decide to take biologics. I hope you can get some relief soon Cris.
