Problems with right leg | Arthritis Information

I have not been online much as my right hip has been hurting and it hurts to sit and it hurts to lay, but hurts more to lay on my right side which is the only way I am comfortable if I am laying down.

So... Saturday night I take Darvocet & Robaxin and amitriptylin to help me sleep and to help with the pain. It was about 9pm when I took it all. I fell asleep. Then I kept getting woke up by my right leg jerking really really hard. If I did not know better I would have thought someone was at the end of the bed tugging on my leg. But I know it was not that as my leg would jerk over to the other side of the bed. Good thing hubby was not in bed... as he probably would have been kicked outta bed.

Anyways... so not my whole right leg is sore and painful. My toe next to my pinky toe on the right foot... it has been hurting and that is with me not even being on it. My right ankle, it hurts and was swelled  until I took an extra 5mg of pred when I got up today and realized I could hardly move. My shin, it hurts when I walk... little tingling pains. My right knee is about the same as always... just has a hard swell which results in it not bending nor straighting. My right thigh well... it feels like there is something it in... it is a hard something, but that is where the pain is. it is on the outter right side of my thigh and the pain goes from that hard feeling spot to my hip. And then there is another hard feeling spot up towards my upper thigh area, and it makes my leg feel weak.

My hip, it hurts inside where the ball & socket part is. It is swelled because I cannot feel my bone like I normally can.

And now it has my lower back involved in it. I cannot walk upright. Not like I could before, but I could walk a little more upright than I am now.

It just sucks!

And now to top it all off... my upper back/shoulders/neck area is making me hurt even more. If I sit they get stiff and I cannot turn my head. If I lay the same thing. It is just annoying!

I think it is bothering me more because of this new right leg mess going on, and I have yet to "adapt" to it. New pains always throw me for a loop.

I woke up with swelled fingers today. First time in awhile I have woke up with swelled fingers. They are still swelled and do not bend to make a semi-closed fist. I guess it is this weather or the pred is just not working like it use to, who knows.

I just hope I am a little better then I was Sunday, when I wake up. I have stuff I gotta do and laying around in bed stiff and swelled is not going to get me anywhere.

Hi joonie!

Sounds like it may be a bit more than
RA.  I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like it could be menengitis or something similar.  Worth checking out with a doctor anyways.  Good luck!

Joonie you sound in terrible pain. Can you get to your doctors, it all sounds so horrid.

On a totally different topic, hows the kitty?

Thanks for the reply

I am going to my RD tomorrow, going to get my first remicade infusion and see her I guess, not sure. Anyways...

The kitty is doing good. She is soo big now. I just love her fur coloring & patterns. She has been sleeping in the bed with us, but she likes to sleep by hubby more than me. But when he leaves to go to work she moves and lays by me.

I'm glad you are going to the dr tommorrow. This does sound miserable. I hope the dr can figure out what is going on and how to relieve it. Make sure to complain a LOT so they do something for you-makes me hurt just to read your post!

Hi Joonbug! It's good to see you posting, I was getting a little worried about you! Sorry you've been feeling so bad, but glad your RD and Remicade appt. are tomorrow.

I sure hope the Remicade works for you, the way it did for me. I'll never forget that first dose. I woke up the following day and had more energy and less pain than I'd had in years...it was amazing!

Hey Joonie - the right leg stuff, that's kinda close to the symptoms I had before they diagnosed the osteoporosis.  Just a thought.  CathyJoonie, how did the dr's appt. go. Any relief in sight?

You're in my thoughts Joon...... I hope your doc can give you answers and relief. Good luck with your remicade shot.

Sending you a big hug!
