I'm in a better mood this AM. Of course, it could be due to a lack of sleep, or the swelling at the base of my neck pushing on my brain. WHO KNOWS!
I'm too tired to drive the 45 min home, I'd wreck the car. So I'm going over to the hospital to nap a bit. I called Kevin to try to get him to fill in on audit tonight, so that I ACTUALLY have two days off. He hasn't called back yet though. My neck is just soooo bad right now. And the stupid chair that I had to sleep on at the hospital has already taken its toll on my hips and elbows and feet and such. NOT a comfy bed, trust me.
Anyone's neck ever hurt so bad that it litterally runs up into your ear?? The whole side of my head hurts, so I'm starting to not be able to tell if it's like.....ear infection related (I am really stuffy right now) or if its just my neck. I can't tell!!

Justin is doing much better already. No idea how long he's in for. He does have a hernia, which isn't helping. I think they do some more CT scans today. Lets hope they come out looking good!!!

Katie, YES!! My neck has hurt that bad. bad enough to include my teeth and give me such a killer headache that to just move my eyes was extremely painful. Still get them from time to time. Hope yours goes away soon, the only thng that will evr help mine is sleep. Unless you wake up in the night with one. Then it's Tylenol PM to make you crash again.

It is a cold damp day up here...blech. I have been pretty much in the bed today resting. I have also lost my voice. Danny called our PCP for something today and when I answered the phone the doc was like you just sound great! I'm all thanks bunches!! I told him that I was coming to see him later in the week (he is off on Tuesdays) about it...and he asked me a bunch of questions and said don't bother coming in and wasting your money on a co-pay you have laryngitis and it is viral you have to let it run it's course. OH JUST PEACHY KEEN!!! Soooo for the next 10-12 days...I have no voice! And I get to rest even more!!! ARGH
Yeah Shannon....some pics of you would be nice!!! Oh well....I am getting tired AGAIN!! I have been cat napping on and off all day...15 minutes here...20 minutes there...so I am off to my bed again! Katie sorry to hear about Justin. Hope everything comes out ok. Much hugs! I am much better today. I actually could get outta bed on the first try. Can make a semi-closed fist on right hand, fingers no longer swelled. Knees are soft swell again, and all it took was to take 20mg of pred yesterday. But my right hip is not hurting, but I still have the twitching going on. It is even in my knee the twitching. My toe feels better. So... today is MUCH better. I guess it was this rain we are suppose to get that messed me up so bad. I hate rain, but some of the counties around us are still in drought.... so they need the rain. I am not sure if we are in drought still or not. Have not heard anything about it. What a good resident I am... not even knowing if my county is in drought

Shannon!! So pretty!! Sooooooooo young!!!! I am glad that Justin is doing better and is at home to finish his recovery from this. I am glad that you are home so you can get some comfortable sleep and rest time also. I bet the kitties were glad to see you guys too!!! Quiet day on the board today. I did get a nap and have been really resting. Hit a long complicated snag with getting the Outback today. We are working on it and working it through. Even if this doesn't work out with the Outback...we still have the money set aside for a newer car. We will just have to look elsewhere for a car. We always seem to end up finding exactly what we need so I am not too stressed about this. How's everyone doing tonight? The more I see of the fires in California, the more concerned I am for my California buddies. I hope you are all safe, and your homes are not in harm's way. It was a day of recovery for me today. I'm a bit sore, I must admit, from working on the haunted house this past weekend. I used a paint roller on a long pole way up over my head yesterday, and now my neck and arms are really upset with me!

Here's a photo of our pirate ship as of yesterday. Still quite a bit of painting and detail work to be done to it, and of course we need a figurehead on the front, but you can see we have done a lot! We have a freakin' ship in our driveway! I have been so tired today, so glad the partie's are over for awhile! Emma and everyone had a great time

I also just got a call from Michael, and he's going to spend the night here also. His roommate's father has been evacuated, and the father is staying at the apartment, so Michael decided to come over here. Looks like I'll have a full house tonight! I can't see any of the fires from where I am, but the skyline is filled with smoke. It's really eerie looking... Well, I got some bad news. It pissed me off SOOOOO BAD it even made me cry. So today I was sitting here on the computer waiting to go to wal-mart. The phone rang I answer it and it was RD's office calling to remind me of my appt for tomorrow. So... I ask the lady if I was getting to see the RD... she said yeah that is what the appt was for. Then it struck me as weird. So, I asked was I to get my Remicade infusion too. She said to hold and let her see. She said "No you are not on our list to get Remicade tomorrow." I was like "well that is what I made the appt for was to get my Remicade infusion, which I was to of already had a month back, but something about insurance and needing a TB test." She said "We cannot add you to the list. So, when you see Dr. BLANK to ask her what your status is for the Remicade infusion." Needless to say... I was heart broken and I cried. I cried because I will not be on my way to getting the swelling down and it will probably be another month or so before I get my first infusion. It sucks, but at least if I do have to wait a month or more before getting Remicade, I still have my 3 Humira syringes left in the fridge. I was going to take them all before my appt, but now I am glad I did not. And I do not have anymore refills for Humira. Ahhh... I am about the same as I was, except I do not have the pain in my right leg. *looks confused* But my right leg has been twitching a lot today. Even my not so swelled right knee is twitching up a storm.

So, I am going to just see her for nothing... well... not nothing I am going to lay all my problems down on her tomorrow. Might as well make the most of my appt and for her staff screwing me over again. Oh well... I just hope when I do take the humira it does not cause me to get a bladder infection again. That is why I have been putting it off taking it, plus I was not sure if I was still suppose to be taking it. But I guess I will find out tomorrow. Oh a happier note... My hip is not hurting YAY!!!!
Do you need to take a TB test before they can do the Remicade? No one told you that before - that's just awful, Joonie. Total incompetence. Ok so we go to wal-mart the one in another city... you know the one with the People Greeter that asked if I needed an electric cart? Well... I walk thru the door and there the same woman is for people greeter, and she sees me she walks away from her stool and stands in front of me and says "I think you need an electric cart, let me get it for you." I looked at her and said "Ok... I guess I will use it this one time." She smiled and said "Good!" So... I rode around wal-mart in an electric cart tonight. I ran hubby over a couple of times. That little lever thing to make it accelerate hurts my thumbs to push it. Felt like it was digging into my thumb bone.
I finished my 4th Orencia infusion a couple of weeks ago, and for the first time, I actually felt pretty good the following day. Unfortunately, it only lasted 2 weeks, and I don't get my next infusion for 2 more weeks. :( It just made me feel bad, because I gave into the "customers with disiblities" crap. Hubby smiled when he saw me get on it, and daughter wanted to drive it... I told she could when she breaks a leg or ankle. She said ok I will go break my ankle. Nutty KID! Gotta take off guys...Michael's here, and Kim will probably be here soon. Joonie, good luck tomorrow at your RD appt. Karen, rest the ol' body tonight! Talk to everyone tomorrow...love ya! The way the lady said it was in the computer was that I made an appt to see the RD, not a remicade infusion appt. I specifically said Appt for remicade and even had the lady I talked to when making said appt look to make sure I was approved by medicaid & insurance to get it and she said yes and then gave me the appt I have now. It is really screwed up crap. I do not think anyone at that office knows much of anything. I wonder if it is just me they screw or if it is everyone.

Hey Katie. Did your man get his parts taken out like he was supposed to. I have not been on for like a week so I am WAYYYYY out of the loop. Heheh yeah Jay, they took his gallbladder out....2 weeks ago? I think? And then we had to put him BACK IN because he had a massive infection in his colon. Which came from god only knows where. He's responding PERFECTLY to the antibiotics though, and only had to stay one night. He's at home finishing them now. Apparently, after taking my med, I fell asleep on the living room floor playing with the kitten. LOL Then Justin told me I got up, went to the bathroom and never came back. I just wandered into the bedroom and passed back out. Man I was TIRED! lol He packed me a lunch though for work while I was sleeping. Hehehehe What a sweetie.
