Remicade/Flu shot NOT the live vaccine!! | Arthritis Information

Do not take the live vaccine. There is a difference, apparently??? My husband went today and they said it was not the live vaccine! Good, but I'm not taking it until my 3 or 4th week of Remicade,(almost a month) as my nurse at the RD's office said 'wait until the last week, the flu shot will work better?" Hummmm. Just what she said.

Anyone with similar information, please post.

Lynda < =text/>_popupControl(); As far as I know regarding the flu shot and remicade is that you can get your flu shot at any time.  I had my mine while I was in the hospital.  It can not be the live vaccine...that is the mist that they spray up your nose...and you should not be around anyone that has had live vaccines I think it is 1-2 weeks.

It is also recommended that anyone on biologics and dmards get their pneumonia vaccine also.

Just get the shot Lynda, you'll be fine.
