OK, so...anyone have any tips or suggestions on palliative eye care? I have tried all the OTC lubricants, drops, and tears and each provides limited relief. I use a "cool steam" humidifier in my office and an ionizing humidifier in my bedroom. I am sure to keep myself adequately hydrated and I do not use eye cosmetics. However, there are days, like today, when I spend more time putting lubricant gel into my eyes than I do enjoying the splendour of the autumnal colours on the mountain--and today that is only witnessed through the blur of artificial tears and gels.

HELP!?My opthamologist has me on warm compresses - I do it every night before going to sleep.  About 10 minutes worth.  He said my ducts were closing up.  It's kinda weird, as I get a film over my eyes that takes a few good blinks to clear up when you are done.  Good luck.  Thanks. There just aren't any magic bullets, are there?

I have a couple of thrombosed veins in the conjunctiva of my right eye that need ablation, but am postponing that until it can no longer be postponed. Meanwhile, I am using warm tea-bag compresses at least a couple times a day.

I have been using an herbal compound, but after nearly three months of the recommended four months of treatment have not noticed any obvious improvement.

Back to the drops and gels!
