OT-Not Smoking, but sick! | Arthritis Information

I'm so sorry that your wife is sick from the Chantix.  I got very sick also and only took it before bed and then only 1/2 of the recommended dose.  See what your wife thinks of trying it at night only.

Good for you non-smoker!  I have 17 days now and quit the Chantix 12 days ago due to its side effects but it sure helped me quit.  Hang in there cause it has been such freedom to be a non-smoker.  I especially enjoy telling my Dr's!

Take care

Don,

Stay positive!  Glad to hear you both are trying!  That is fantastic!  I hope your wife will feel better soon!!  Hang in there - you both can do it!

Bonny good for u on 17 days!! Congrats!!

Celena thank you....we've both come to this decision on our own and I think we can do it....time and strenght from HIM will be our best chance.

You'll feel much better once you've gotten over the initial withdrawal.  Remeber to drink plenty of fluids and keep telling yourself and each other that you can do it.  Here's high fives to each of you.  Lindy

Lindy, thanks so much..and congrats to you for 22 yrs smokefree!! I actually did quit for 4 yrs once,,then stupidly started up smoking again, my wife has never tried to quit before....thanks again!! It's been almost 8 years for me. It was the best thing i ever did. I used the gum, but only about for pieces a day and I would just chew a little corner of it. It took the edge off! You're over the hump so just keep not smoking. You quit for 4 years so you know you can do it.
Go Hawkeye!
Go Hawkeye!
Go Hawkeye!
And maybe get your wife some of the gum. (The first piece is disgusting but I still have a little chew about once a year now).
