widespread pain | Arthritis Information

I am not diagnosed. I have had problems for years. My RA factor is positive but my GP says until I have swelling (my sed rate was normal last check as well)...he won't diagnose me.    I have other blood things as well but my question today is about pain.    I know pain is different for everyone.    Mine has become widespread and I will even have shooting pains through my joints throughout the day.    Common tasks ...like setting the parking brake, brushing teeth...can be painful.   I wake up with random pain but it seems like I get worse as the day goes on.    I am also running a low grade temp for about a month now and have had debilitating fatigue.   I do not have any swelling but the pain seems to be in every joint I have at some point in the day.   So I actually may have more of a mixed connective problem.   I go to a new rheumy tomorrow.   Do any of you have pain that gets worse as the day goes on?Yes, yes, and yes.  My suggestion to you is to find a new doctor but when I read your last couple of sentences I see that you're going to a new RD tomorrow.  That's the best thing you can do for yourself at this point.  Worsening pain, fatigue, low grade temp is part of the RA process.  At the start of the disease my joints didn't swell but all labs were positive and a diagnosis was made immediately and medication started.  You need a proactive doctor.  Take care and keep us posted on your progress.  Lindy ppmc44,

I had all your symptoms with very little swelling if any and my RA factor was negative...but i have been dxd with RA. Sounds like RA to me maybe even with a touch of Fibro...but I am by no means a doctor. I have pain that gets worse through out the day as well....keep in touch. And I will keep you in my prayers.
