Help..is anyone out there that can help me?  I had the anchovy procedure July 12.  It has been 15 weeks and I am still in pain.  My index finger and middle finger are stiff and I cannot close them all the way.  My hand seems to be more red in color than the one without surgery. I am 60 and had arthritis and a bone spur removed, therefore the surgery.  My entire hand is still very achy, especially around he incision area, but many times my entire hand is achy.  It seems to still be a bit swollen.  I saw my doctor two days ago and he jut said to continue PT on my own and come back in another six weeks.  He says it could take p to six-twelve months.  My hand is smaller than the other and I cannot get my hand to flatten as much as the other. I have no strength yet to even squeeze a toothpaste tube. I am quite mobile but I do not understand why my hand and fingers should ache when the surgery wa on the thumb. I have tried everything.  I am now eating cherries as someone told me that might help.  This constant pain is getting me very depressed o the point I would like to just cut my hand off.  No one has answers for me and my doctor is not helpful nor sympathetic.  Someone suggested a chiropractor. I am at my wits end at this point.  If you have answers/suggestions please let me know.  If indeed this is just something that take time then I will have to wait and see, if there is something else that needs to be addressed I need to know that as well.  Tank you so much for helping me.  You can e-mail me at sdek@nwc.edu or johnek93@msn.com or this forum.  Not sure how this forum works as I am new so the direct e-mails might be better.  Thanks again.
