I need to complain to people who get it. I love my friends but they dont

I just had a 5 hour lab and my joints hurt sooo bad. I managed to sit for a lot of the lab but still...I was not sure i would be able to hike the 5 flights to my room afterwards.

Stomach is a royal mess. Im never eating gluten again lol ive thought i was gluten intolerent for 3 years, but this summer i played around with it and was fine eating some. not anymore...i guess it needed to build up in my system. cause the other day after a bite of cookie 20 mins later i was sick....this was 4 days ago...still a mess. Maybe my triglycerides are so low cause I am celiac? Its so annyong i cant test positive with blood work cause i dont have IGA and then i was negative with the biopsy......sooooo who knows, i want this figured out!!!!

i have soooooooo much studying to do its beyond crazy. i dunno how im gonna do it all

Littlemermaid,

I am so sorry you are not feeling well, I hope you get to feeling better really soon!!! Let us know how you are feeling.

Love ya

Littlemermaid,
I can really sympathize with you as I have celiac too.  It is as sneaky as RA and just as devastating.  You can cheat a little and think you are getting away with it while it quitely does it's dirty dead on your gut.  It may appear to have an accumlative effect, but all the while gluten is distroying tissue that absorbs nutrients.  Then, bang, it poisons you with an acute attack!  I also did not test positive on the blood tests.  The endoscopic test can miss it if they don't collect tissue samples in the right place.... this is not a 100% test. The whole intestine is not usually envolved, just scatered areas. (Just like RA, you can be negative on all the tests and still have it). The only true test is the diet.  If you stick to the diet and symptoms vanish, then you have it.  Many drs in the US are just beginning to recognize celiac disease.  I have suffered all my life with this and been told over the years by many drs that I have lots of other diseases.  Just like RA, if you have all the symptoms, don't let some numbskull dr tell you that it is "all in your head" just because the tests were negative.  Go back on your gluten free diet, it might even help with the RA. Fortunately, there's no meds to take with this disease, just total abstinance from gluten. It is a challenge especially if you are at school as you are at the mercy with institutional food.  There's lots of help on the internet if you need it, even forums like this one. I'd be glad to help out if needed.  Good Luck!!!!!  thanks, well for awhile ive just thought im gluten intolerent...without the actually celiac part...now who knows!
