OMG its WAYYYYY to early to be awake!!!!!!!! Well im up and starting to get ready to leave for Ohio. Its gonna be a LONG weekend lemmie tell ya. Not sure if I'm going to be able to check in at all. Depending on where Im staying I might be able to. Will probably be back either Tues or Wed.

Angy - I hear you, I was up and down all night with gut pain. I am on one of my weight gaining phases again - I have gained 7 lbs in two days for no reason. This is the part I never understand, the fast ballooning up, then suddenly wasting away to a skeleton. I almost finally took a pain pill but it luckily passed, literally. Hope you have a better day as it goes along. CathyCathy, I hope you have a good day also..... I know I'll probably being sleeping on and off all day....

Man... it is cold and my cats breath smells like fish EWW!!

I went to sleep around 2am. Sleepy meds kicked in and knocked me out. One thing about taking them before bed... I go to sleep faster. Then I woke up because hubby accidentally kicked me in my left ankle. Yeah... pain shot to the ole desk weight I have for a brain and then, I rolled over and went back to sleep. Good thing I took half a pain pill before going to sleep it was already working, so the bumping it was painful.

MRI this morning at 9am. Well, I have to be there at 9am. Half hour before the test. Ugh. Do they not know what waiting around like that does to a body this early in the morning??? I wonder if they will stop the test if I just can’t take anymore and need to move my position for a few minutes.

Danny is going to go and title and plate the car while I am having my MRI done!!! Woooohoooo!!! It is such a relief to have a reliable vehicle again. And it is just one of those deals that we could just not pass up. I will take pics of all of us with the car over the weekend. It is going to be so nice in the winter...all wheel drive all the time…and the most important feature of all…drum roll please…BUTT WARMERS!!!!! YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! All kidding aside…we are very grateful that this car and the opportunity to buy it came into our lives at just the right time under just the right circumstances. It is kinda creepy at the same time also considering we are buying it from the estate of a friends uncle that passed away not that long ago. But…my friends mom told me on the phone that her BIL would be happy knowing that the car is going to a family that will enjoy it, take care of it, and is a car that is practical for them.

Well, I managed to get dressed on my own! Took a bit…kinda hurt…but I did it myself. Danny is going to have to help me with my shoes tho.

Time to read thru other posts and then head out for my MRI!!

Hi all, GM don't worry about the 'slippers', eVERYONE, wears them to doc appointments around here. Well, it is Calif ya know, so anything goes. WAITing to hear about the results of this fancy, dumb, long test called a ACTH ??, It is suppose to tell the doc why I'm feeling so exhausted, huh?? I just got off of prednisone....doesn't he hear well?

Off to freakmart through the 'fog', pretty thick this morning.

It's a bit chilly here this morning, but I guess that's what it is supposed to be for the end of October. I did some more painting and work on the ship yesterday, so it was a bit of a restless night. My body is so easily annoyed with me these days!

I'm going to work out the creakiness today though. Got lots do do - Halloween is approaching quickly!

Shannon, please have a safe trip and take care of yourself. Stress is hard on the body, so be extra nice to yourself. I hope you can find comfort in sharing your grief with family. And I hope this can turn into a wonderful celebration of the life of your grandmother.

I hope your MRI goes well Liz. Laying still in a painful position was really hard for me, Liz, so I hope it goes quickly for you.

Joonie, I am sorry about the insurance chaos you are experiencing. In this fast-paced world in which we live, patient advocacy has to come from patients themselves. Insurance precertification and/or referral is a labyrinth that is not easy to navigate for either the patient or the physician's office. There is little to no consistency from on insurance to another and the requirements vary from the sublime to the ridiculous. Referral clerks are often poorly trained to deal with the paper trail and keeping up with the multitudinous rules and regulations requires more specialized training that many, if not most, medical offices do and can offer. Referrals are lost, misfiled, written for the wrong procedures, not properly signed, etc.. All this stress for everyone all because of a silly piece of paper! There ought to be a law!

Hello Everyone, It's still raining, 5 days of drizzle and a few showers. I can barely move my neck to the right, my glands are swollen, and my ear hurts, I have a muscle spasm in my back that cuts through like a knife,

Thur and Fri are Parent/Teacher conferences so I didn't have to get up to drive DD to school, why can't I ever sleep in when I don't have to get up.

So here's a suggestion on saving money, don't go see '30 Days of Night' at the movie theater. Even paying for the cheap show was a waste of money. We went because it takes place in Barrow(filmed in New Zealand) and DD had been there on a volleyball trip and she likes scarey movies. I kept whispering, 'Does it look like Barrow?' She finally said, 'I have a picture of that.' The mile marker of how far it is to all these other cities. There were 3 token Eskimos, who got killed pretty quick, and vampires don't have to wear hats and mittens. They also speak a really weird language that doesn't sound anything like Transylvanian.

Well I could not call RD's office today, as hubby did not leave his cell home accidentally and my cell phone has a dead battery & is lost somewhere. I tried to use our home phone, but apparently our long distance bill did not get paid, and now we have to pay .15 to restore our long distance. I guess I can use my check card to pay that. I think I have left in my checking account. Wouldn't it be my luck to pay .15 and then bounce and get charged for bouncing.

Well, I called the pharmacy to see if she RXed the pain med I wanted and apparently not. Just another LorTab and my Zyrtec has been approved so I can pick it up now too.

Ok I tried to call RD on hubby's cellphone when he got home and they are not in. I think this is the Friday she is in another city.

Guess I will try to call next week to see how my PA's are going.

Mona…so sorry hunny you are in pain like that. I hate it when the weather is just relentless like that and it seems like you can’t get a sunny day to catch a break from the rain and dampness. I hope you are resting and taking it easy.

Karen…quit annoying your body and it won’t be annoyed with you!!! In a way, I am kind of glad this is the last year that you will be doing the Haunted House. I’m sure the community will miss it but we like having you in one piece!!!

Nini…my girls had off the past 2 days and do you think I got to sleep in? Nooooooooooooo!!!! ARGH!!!! It was nice to have them around though. Spent some nice time together.

The MRI totally sucked. Excuse the harsh language please but that is how I really feel about it. I did take an extra pain pill 30 minutes before going and I am glad that I did. The positions that you have to lie in were very uncomfortable and both of my hands painfully fell asleep. At least there was a break where I could wake up my hands, stretch out a bit, and get rid of all the coffee I had that morning lol. After the first set of films they clamp your hand into this thing and take more films!!! Basically you lay there like Superman lol. Except there is nothing super about it!!! My fingers would twitch involuntarily and they would get on the speaker and tell me not move!! At one point they got a little rude about it and I got rude right back! Not like I can help it!! They had to re-shoot two sets because of my twitching fingers. I find out results on Tuesday.

Liz...I am so sorry about the MRI...I hope that the results do come in on Tuesday...and it T-5 for our infusion!

Yep, I've got that good ol' weather thing goin' on, it was 70 degrees yesterday and forty today...we are awaiting another storm...maybe with the four letter word AGAIN!

So sorry Mona, and Karen...you are going to need a month of Sunday's to catch up on all of the rest your body needs. Take care of yourselves both of you.

Welp, off to take my sleepy meds. Need them to take care of some stiffness and pain.
