I am go to go out on a limb and say Imuran is working. Because my knees are not swelled like they were and I can actually feel the knee caps again! YAY!! I know it is not the pred. Not taking enough pred to get rid of the swelling like it is now.
But yet I still have pain.

It sounds like the Imuran is starting to work!!! That is great! Give it some time and hopefully your other symptoms will start to abate also. Now that the Remicade situation has gotten straightened out, you really are on the right track to feeling better. In the meantime, you just really have to rest and take it easy as much as you can.
You might want to keep in mind that there are just times we are not going to be totally pain free. I can not remember the last time I was totally pain free. You have your pain pills that you can take to keep the pain under some control and somewhat tolerable. Sometimes, as unfortunate as it is, that is the best we can hope for.
I am not asking to be pain-free... I have never been pain-free, even when I was in remissions. I just want to feel better and be able to walk, for one thing. I want to be able to move certain body parts again without limited ROM. I want to be able to not worry about well if I do that, blank is going to swell more. I am just tired of all the swelling. Pain I can handle to an extent, but the stiffness, weakness, swelling, "broken" bones and the overall not being able to do things I should be able to do, just annoys me. I mean I have given up so much, or learned a different way of doing something, but there are just some things you cannot learn a different way or even give up so you have to make do.
I am slowly figuring out that pain meds are my "friend", but I still would rather just depend on IBU to take the edge off my pain. Maybe I will be back to that state if and when I get to start Remicade.
Remicade is not on the right track. It is lost in Fax-land. I just hope it all gets straightened out before my appt. If not I am just going to fax RD with a request for stronger pain meds and no more DAMN Lortabs!
