Good Morning Merry Sunshines !!!

Morning all!! and yes the sun's shining but its a cool 41 deg here in missouri!!! Hope all have a great day no matter what!!! Good afternoon.  I got up at 5:45 and the temp on the porch said 30, but there was a total destruction killer frost, so it was probably in the mid to upper 20s away from the house.  I will not complain, though, this is our first frost and it's more than a month late - 30+ days of free gardening this year. < =text/>_popupControl();

Good afternoon everyone!  I have finally dragged myself out of bed!!  I was up once but went back to bed as I just could not keep my eyes open lol.  I hope everyone is having a good day!!

Please keep Shannon and her family in your hearts and prayers today.

Right now it is a very sunny 55 degrees.  It is a little windy though.  The air smells like fall today and I just love it!  Like Link said…the cold weather is coming tho!  I am so happy to have butt warmers in our new car lol.  I told Danny that when he starts the car this winter before we go anywhere he has to turn my seat on too lol.

I am sad to say that I have had to cancel and reschedule my infusion for Wednesday.  I woke up with a fever this morning.  I do not know if it is from the laryngitis that is hanging on forever or if it is from being out of control and it is a flare fever.  I talked it over with Danny and we both felt that I should cancel.  I am waiting for my RN at the doc office to call me back on when my infusion will be rescheduled to.  This laryngitis just will not go away.  I still do not have much of a voice.  It did stop fading at the end of a couple of sentences, but that is about all it has recovered.  I do not shake viruses or infections very easily, but I was holding out hope that I would have shaken this in time for my infusion.  I really think I just need one more week and I will be fine.

Tomorrow is Danny’s first Smoking Cessation class!!!  We find out then when he gets Chantix.  I am planning on quitting with him but will only be using the patch as I have done before.  We are ready for this and talk a lot about it.  It will be rough the first few weeks, but we will make it through!!  It will help that we are quitting together and we will have each other for support.  I do worry when he is at work since you can smoke in the shop.  That is where he does most of his smoking.  One of our friends that he works with does not smoke and he has been assigned as Danny’s non smoking support buddy.  I have to find something new to do with my hands since I do not think I will be able to crochet.  I think I am going to send Danny for some new coloring books.  I have plenty of colors, markers, and paints to keep my hands busy and that is also something I can do in bed. If you guys have any other suggestions for things I can do with my hands but still be on bed rest, please post them.  I would really appreciate it!!  I like to smoke when I am online so I may be scarce for a week or so, just until I can get over that hump of wanting to smoke while I am sitting at the computer.  I will put up all of the ashtrays and there will be no smoking in our house until I feel Danny is comfortable enough with being around that.   Until then, our smoking friends will be given an ashtray and shoo’d outside on the balcony to smoke.

Are you ready for some foooooooooooootbaaaaaaaaaaaall!!!!!  Yes folks, the Packers play against the Broncos for Monday Night Football tonight!!!  GO PACKERS!!!  It should be a very good game tonight!!!  Wooohoo!!  I am a good sport and may both teams play to the best of their abilities!!!

Think I will go wander the board for a few and see what else is going on.  I think I am going to start a thread on naming 1 or 2 positive things that have happened in your life since you were diagnosed with RA.

Good midmorning everyone. AhhHAH! YES, the hands can now tolerate using the typing aids, so unlike the other four or five messages I attempted earlier this one will get posted.

It is just after 10 AM and a temperate 65 degrees. I managed to do a couple loads of laundry and even to get it all hung up on the line.

Grammaskittles, well done on your plans to quit smoking: I am sure you will be successful. PLEASE let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you.I am sorry you had to reschedule your infusion. Darn... ... ...

I send everyone good thoughts for a comfortable day, smooth roads, and clear skies.

Con brio, Happ

Liz,

I like that idea for a thread! You should do it!

PACKERS ROCK!!!!!  I love them!!!!  I will be wearing my cheesehead!!!

I have been painting the trim on the house while I have decent weather (40-50's). I enjoy painting so I've been looking forward for the morning chill to go away so I can get to painting!

Have a fantastic day!!!

I can't wait to watch the Packers win this evening!!!  WOOHOO!!  My friends keep telling me I should move to the other side of the Cheddar Curtain.

And a big pat on the back for me, please.  Yes, today I increased my run by a mile, to make it 21/2, actually, just over. < =text/>_popupControl();

OMG!!!!  There are other Packers fans here besides me!!!  I can’t believe it!!!  I am going to watch the game tonight and pray I do not fall asleep during it.  I am going to lay down when I am done posting this and try to take a little nap.  I seem to get a little tired right at this time of the day.  Which really bites because the girls are home school and I am trying to spend time with them.  But they would rather have me rest anyways.

Oh Danny and I are bound and determined to quit.  We have just been waiting for his smoking cessation classes to begin at work since they are giving the employees Chantix.  He will for sure need that.  I can do it with just the patch.  I have my straws and I’m ready to go!  He has no choice but to quit since we found out he has COPD.  I would like him around for a long time.  He wants to be around for a long time.  He has an 80% recovery and improvement rate from the COPD after he quits smoking.  Thank you to everyone for the well wishes on us quitting!!!

Congrats Link on adding another mile to your run!!  That is great!!

Well, our landlord has finally started to do repairs around here!  They had someone working on our garage today replacing all the dry rot.  Now maybe I can talk her into starting to do repairs on the *inside* of the house too!  The girls have informed me that not only is there mold in my bathroom (*nothing* has worked on it to get rid of it including Killz) that some of the basement walls are moldy also.  The people downstairs had called the city inspectors on them last year and that was one of the things that was supposed to have been taken care of.  They must have just used bleach water and the mold came back.  I *still* need an exhaust fan put in my bathroom and that supposedly was going to be done back around Easter.  It is going to be too cold soon to shower with the bathroom window open lol.

Mmmm I want cake. Think I will hunt down the chef of the house and have her make me cake with vanilla frosting.  Stupid pred!!

Evening Everyone!

I went to pick up my Zyrtec and well... I was not about to pay .47!! Medicaid would not cover it, and I guess BC/BS just sucks

So, when I call tomorrow for an update of my PA's I will inform them I need something else other than zyrtec.

Oh she did not RX me Combunox like I suggested, instead she RXed me Lortab 10!

Welp, hope everyone has a good evening!

"swmbo" = she who must be obeyed.

Not only does Danny have COPD, you have asthma!  Think how happy your lungs will be to finally not be filled constantly with poisonous, acrid smoke.  Mold is nothing compared to the stuff you have chosen to put in there, chickadee!

I'm also so happy that your girls will have clean air to breathe and parents who might actually be around to see the milestones in their lives!

I know it will be a hard fought lifestyle change, and I applaud you for taking on the challenge - and I thank you!

Congrats to all of you have already conquered the beast, or in the process of battling it.  It is such a worthwhile fight!

Hope you all are having a good day, and evening. Lynda

Hey Lynda, glad you got out on the course.  Stan wants to go tomorrow but he'll have to go by himself.  Tonight is MXT and I'll take my first Humira inj. this evening.  Think I'll lay low tomorrow and just lounge around. Will golf next week.

Going to have supper, relax, shoot myself up, and go to bed.  Lindy

Liz and Don, l am so happy to read that you're quitting the big habit.  You will feel so much better and have so much more money in your pocket.  Your lungs will thank you and so will your children.  Take it one hour at a time.  Lindy

Just checking in to say hi. I came down with a terrible migrane earlier today, and although it's better now, it really kicked my butt. So off to bed for me.

Try and behave you guys...and don't have too much fun without me! LOL

See ya'll tomorrow!

I'm going to lay down for bed... hopefully the Packers will keep their lead against Colorado and win this game. One more thing... just got a pair of new shoes today from LLBean.  Women's comfort slides, wide width, ...  OMG it's like wearing slippers at work!  The package arrived today and I ripped open the box and put the shoes on right away.  Wow!

I have MBT sandals and sneakers that I wear when I'm not at the office... but they don't quite go with office attire. Night Jas....sweet dreamsPackers just won in overtime Lindy, hope your husband gets to play. So few days this time of year. I know how you feel about the mtx, I just got over my dose. It is so rude that we have to feel like this several days a week. I'm exhausted......good night all, talk to you tomorrow, Lynda
