Didn't know I was gone did ya?
My right leg was doing pretty darn good, and then... I went and walked on it. Went shopping. Yeah...
So, I was in the pain that makes you cry and beg of pain relief. I came home took a Lortab 2.5 & robaxin, which of course knocked me out. When I woke up 30 mins later by my leg jerking and fell back to sleep then woke up by leg jerking again and again. I was in pain the whole time. The Lortab done NOTHING for my pain, just knocked me out.
Then aroun 2am I took some more lortabs and took another lortab 3 hours later and another one an hour later and NONE of them took the pain away. I laid there crying until 6am and hubby gave me a LorTab 10. Yeah... all that did was make me REALLY sleepy and feel jittery. I knocked out after daughter went to school, but was woke up every 10 - 15 mins by pain. Finally around 11am I called hubby crying and unable to make much sense. Was still "high" from the LorTab 10.
He came home got me dressed and off the ER we went. Was only there less than 2 hours. They took x-rays of my knee. Gave me 2 shots in the butt... one pain med, the other muscle relaxer. Then 15 mins later a ER Dr came in told me I was getting old, to take calcium, to stay off my knee when it is swelled, not to walk on it when it is swelled, and to elevate it. Told me "our bodies get old and when they get old the joint wear out."
So... off they sent me with a restrictor to put on my knee and would have been crutches, but I cannot use crutches because of my wrist.
My leg was already feeling much better by the time we left. I could walk on it and all, and not like I did when I "limped" into the ER.
Yep, came home went to sleep and the numb, hard spot in my thigh is gone.
So my release papers say I am suffering for arthritis, swelled joint & muscle spasms.
I never knew a muscle spasm could feel like this. And make joint hurt worse.
I am going to go rest some more and cuddle with hubby. Hope everyone is doing ok today.
Joonie...I haven't been on much, because of pain either, so I would not have noticed much.
So very sorry you have this pain and muscle spasms. Did they give you any muscle relaxers? Are you going to show this to the Doctor when she sees you for your infusion? Do they have all of the stuff for that now? I hope so, you need some relief!!1

Well, sorry to hear that you ended up at the ER. I always hate going there. Are you going to use the electric scooters at the stores now? Ah Joonie. I am sorry. Gramma is right. Use the scooter. Race up and down every aisle. Your kids will beg to ride. Your son will beg to drive. It'll be fun. There won't be an emergency room trip after unless you run over one of the kids or hubby!

So sorry to hear that you weren't doing well!!! I would definately use the scooters too if I really needed to!!! I agree with marian .... the kids would love it!
