I ran into the doctor at the pain clinic this am while I was there getting a treatment and she thinks I should pay the 0 to have this hormone testing done.

She said the results COULD have something to do with why I feel so bad.  Money is VERY tight right now and I don't want to waste the money for nothing, whadda you guys think?

Maybe find out if you could pay for it in seperate incriments.  Will your insurance not pay for it?  I think that it would be a good idea to get tested but I also understand the money situation as well.  Maybe find out if your ins will pay for any part of it and if not if the company doing the test will alow you do do a payment arrangement.

Good luck sweetie, hope it all works out for you so you can start feeling better.

Michele,

I'm a skeptic by nature so I'm not sure.  I know very much about money being tight - thats right where I am as well.  If they are just checking for hormones, your GP or even Gyno can test for them and I'm sure those tests are covered by insurance.  Seems a bit expensive for a hormone test to me.  On the other hand, I don't know what you're feeling and how bad either, so if I were feeling like crud, then would it be worth it?  If you want to try it, maybe ask friends and family and the church if they'd like to donate to the Michele Testing Fund Ok, now I am really confused, this doesn't sound right....

It has to be prepaid and no, they do not accept any insurance.  I am pretty sure some of my hormones are out of wack, I know I am estrogen dominant.....maybe the right supplement might help me feel a bit better but I am not sure its gong to be a good fix.  Any more input???
Yea, your GP or GYN are both able to do those tests for you. After reading Celenas post, maybe you shoud talk to those drs first and get their opinoin?
