Goodmorning!!!!!!!!!!  So I just found out that my best friend is PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!! YAY  lol the sucky this is that she lives out in AZ

Hope everyone has a great day today!!!!

HI Kelsays mummy, I hope your'e best friend moves back, there is nothing quite like a new baby to brighten up our world, how do you cope with the grocery shopping, does it wear you out, I am ashamed to say I have been told my Dr not to do it as I can't cope with it mentally or physically, I find I am doing such stupid things due to brain fog, I don't trust myself anymore, so I am limited to mobility scooter shopping, just a couple of things like bread and milk - nothing too stressful!!!!!!

Mind you, I slipped in the kitchen yesterday on leaking water from my fridge freezer and hurt myself, so I had had enough of it, I have been promising myself a new one but couldn't afford it as usual, so went into a shop that was advertising interest free, got us a lovely new double door model, delivered this morning, when I say I'm gonna do something, I go and do it!!!!  Are any of you like that?  Beats grocery shopping.

I was extremely worried the way the kids run around the house (even though it is banned) that they would slip on the water from the leaking fridge and smash their heads on the tiles, so I felt I had no choice!!!!!!  Thanks for agreeing with me in advance - ha ha love Janie.
Janie, Grocery shopping does wear me out but not to bad.  The part that wears me out the most is bringing the groceries in from the truck. Usually my husband goes w/ me so i just have him bring them in and I put them away but since i relearned to drive the truck (its a stick shift) Ive been going while hes been at work.  Yea I REALLY hope that my bestfriend and her husband move out here.  Ive been bugging them about it forever, but he doesnt like the cold to much.  So I told her that he can just get a job where he can work from home and he'd never have to leave the house when its winter.  I agree w/ you on the fridge...Cant have the kids gettin hurt now.  Those are nice fridges...is the freezer on the one size or is it on the bottom?  Im not sure if i like the freezers on the bottom, you cant put much in them.  Hi again Kelsays mummy, yes the freezer is one side and the fridge the other and it has digital temperature controls on the door which can be locked, the kids think that is so cool!  What is your first name, I hope you don't mind me asking?  I really hope your friend moves as I think it can be so lonely when you have a new baby and no-one around that you are close to, I ended up with postnatal depression as my whole family (big Irish happy, close family) were all in the UK and I am in Aussieland, all I wanted to do was share the baby with my mum especially and my sisters and brothers, never mind we can't have everything but if I could I would, lol.  Take care, nice talking to ya.Thanks Shanon, have a great weekend, hugs Janie. OMG i totally misspelled my name LMAO im such a dork!!!!!!!!  This is what you get when your up before the sun I guess LOL  i need to spell check more often HI Shannon - I did wonder??????  LOL - don't worry, I do silly things all the time.  Thank God I have my RA and meds to blame!!!!!!  Janie.  LOL i know right..Yea im gonna use my meds as an excuse...yea we'll go w/ that one....  Well I need to start getting myself ready while the munchkin is still asleep...Then off to run my arrands...Have a grea day!Good morning from the Sonoran Abode, where we are STILL waiting for the sunrise. Winter is coming...a quarter to six and still dark.

I send my best wishes for a comfortable day, smooth roads, and clear skies!

Jasmine, I agree totally, I'm still able to carry my shopping in, but dont... that's what I call 'man jobs' (I dont have a daughter, got a hubby and a son). I figure I do the shopping they do the carrying.

Good afternoon from Edinburgh. Cold here but no rain. Blue sky and sunshine, it'll be frosty this evening.

Yep... if they're man enough to eat all that food, they're man enough to carry it in.  Once in a while the boys will whine about having to carry groceries in... so I tell them I will not go to the store any more... that I would rather spend the 0 a week on new computer parts and flowery girl stuff for my room.  After thinking about it for a second, they panic.) with slat sides that carries the grocery bags (rip stop nylon with leather handles) to the house and right into the kitchen.

We laugh and tell each other that we are working smarter rather than harder,

Good Morning all.  I am up and made brownies which is part of the fund raiser for Speech and Debate team.  DD did not tell me until about 8:30pm last night that she needed 24 brownies.

Had a great talk with my adopted mom, about giving myself permission to be how I feel.  She nailed me hard on trying to present that I am better than I am and can do more than I can.

Joints do feel better, but I have a headache from the very hot place.  Well, I have to take a shower and deliver brownies, and then we are going to the big city (Ft. Collins, Colo) because I am going to check out some fat quarter sales(material for quilting).

have a great afternoon.  Will try to check in later...hubby has started back working on his degree online.  love ya, shel

Kelsay does help carry them in.. But today I went to Aldi and I didnt bring enough bags to make them light enough for Kelsay to carry.  But she did bring in at least half of them.  She even carried in a 12 pack of pop too, which i thought was going to be to heavy for her but guess not.  She did bring in the milk as well.
Well I got most of my arrands done.  Still have to go to the regular grocery store to get Soy milk for Kelsay and Propel water...oh and i have to get Kelsays flower girl dress from the cleaners so i can take pics of it and put it on ebay.....

I have to say...if I carry groceries in I get this look from the three Muskateers!  Yep, not pleasant...so it is easier just to let them knock themselves out.

Hubby went to the grocery store last night, and asked if DS was home.  I said, "no, do you want me to help?"  He looked at me like I had five heads and said...no just put stuff away, and I will carry the freezer stuff down stairs.  What a saint!

Good afternoon everyone!!  It is a very bright day here today!!  My hands are still the same so I will for sure be calling the rheumy’s office in the morning to tell them I need to talk to him when I come for my infusion in the afternoon.  I am trying to get Danny to take pics of my hands before he goes to work today.  I will get pics either tonight or tomorrow and post them.  Right now he is playing video games with the girls and I don’t want to take away from the time the girls spend with him before he leaves for work at 1230 PM.  After he leaves for work, I am going to eat some Fritos (latest pred craving), read a little, and then nap.  After my nap me and the girls are going to tackle the very scary black hole that is their closet lol.  Danielle has brought out the foot bath thingie and is getting a nice heated water foot massage.  Maybe I will do one too.  I know the noise of this thing has to drive the people downstairs just crazy lol.  My foot massage is going to have to be a nice loooooooooooong one.  Maybe I will let my feet get all prunie lol.

Shannon!!!  Great news on your best friend!!!  Congratulations!!  And yes I agree, she needs to move back home closer to you!!!  Ugh grocery shopping.  Then again this is me and I hate any kind of shopping lol.  I say that you should get chocolate soy milk for Kelsay today!!!!  But you know me, I feel the need to spoil all of my friend’s kids lol.

Janie…oooohhhh I *love* getting new appliances.  And noooooo we can’t have you or the kids getting hurt now can we???  I love the double door fridges.  But my dream fridge is the one with the double doors for the fridge on top and the pull out freezer drawer on the bottom.  Of course the finish on it *has* to be chrome.  I am one of those unusual wives that does not getting appliances for gifts on bday, anniversary, or the Holidays lol.  The more appliances to make my cleaning life easier the better as far as I am concerned lol!!!

Happ…I love the cart idea for toting groceries in from the car.  We will have to get something like that if we ever move to a place on the ground floor.  Right now we have the upper in a duplex.  We just park the car right by the door and unload onto our porch and the girls carry everything in lol.  I put everything away since I am so picky about how things get put in the pantry lol.

Shelly…don’t feel too guilty about presenting yourself as being healthier than you really are.  I really feel most all of us have done that at one point or another.  The only people we are really hurting when we do that is ourselves.  It took me a very long time to learn to ask for help when I need it and that it is ok to ask for that help.  My family would *rather* I ask for help than to overdo it and make myself even more sick.  That actually puts more of a burden on them.  What is the very hot place???

Liz, I am the same way about where things go in the cabinets.  lol  Kelsay LOVES chocolate milk and she seems to be ok w/ the chocolate syrup w/ the soy milk.  Cause I think there is some kind of milk in there but not enough to where it boheres her.  One day we can go back to regular milk

< =text/>_popupControl();

Shannon…I wouldn’t even bother going back to regular milk.  The soy milk is so much better for her.  You can’t really cook with soy milk, but what you can cook with is Rice milk.  Rice milk is really good.  Even Arielle who is one of the pickiest children I know, loves rice milk. It has kind of a sweet taste to it.  My organic section at my grocery has it.  It even comes packaged in like “milk boxes” so you can put it in the kids lunches.  You don’t even have to fridge it until you open it.  I have cooked with rice milk before and haven’t noticed a taste difference at all.

Hmmm, ill have to see what the price difference is between rice milk and soy milk....I like the idea of the small ones though for the lunches.  I can cook w/ regular milk and she doesnt react to it.  My cousin (whos a med student) says that it changes form when its cooked so thats probably why she can handle it when i use it to cook with.

Ok, so im having the yummiest salad right now...I LOVE salads...its got cucumbers, tomatoes, crutons, olives, chedder cheese, and hot peppers w/ Italian dressing YUMMY My boys are at a playdate a block away.  One of my son's classmates is an only child who lives with his grandparents, who seem a bit bewildered with having to raise a 7-year old boy after being empty-nesters for a while.  Hell, I'm bewildered with two young boys half the time!!!

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon/evening

lorrie2008-11-21 00:12:30Good day all,
I am exhausted.  We went to our first "bunco" party in the neighborhood since summer.  We always have a blast playing and I won for the most "bunco's" and came home .00 richer.  I had spent yesterday afternoon baking and frosting 3 layers of cakes for my daughters homecoming party

Today I was up at 6:00 am to pack up the cakes and head to our local International House of Pancakes for breakfast with my 15 year old.  We then delivered the cake to her school and I spent an hour setting it up and decorating the cake.  Yikes, my hands are really bothering me now.  I haven't decorated a cake since I started this RA journey.  Luckily, Enbrel is kicking in and I can do more with my girl.

I came home, took a nap and then my husband took her to get her hair "done" up.  It will be few hours before she gets back and we will get her all dressed up and ready to send her off to homecoming.  Whew, I think I need another nap MaryBlooms! I have been wondering where you have been, and now I find out---wrapped up in homecoming. How did your brined chicken turn out?
Gimpy!  I thought I posted about the chicken.

It was the BEST ever! I ust have somehow missed that post. Sometimes I get really busy and lose track of what's going on around here. I'm glad it turned out unbelievably juicy and tender! That's how our turkey was. I can't wait to cook one for Christmas

Well, MaryBlooms, I like having you on this forum, but if that's the reason you haven't been around I hope I don't see you too much, haha!

Keep on truckin'!
