Alright.....humor me here.
Anyone know any superstitions or old wives tales about birds flying into windows? Specifically a window that you're sitting next to?

Since I've been working overnight here at the hotel, 4 birds have hit the window next to me and died. I swear to God. It's the craziest thing. And about 5 more have hit and flown off. This doesn't happen during the day, and Justin and Kevin, who both normally work overnight, have NEVER had it happen to them.
What the frick?
Freaky Katie. Birds don't usually fly much at night.
I wouldn't read too much into it. Maybe some kind of strange psychotic birds.

Nope, three sparrows. One random I don't know what bird. Which makes me go ...wtf? Why are there sparrows here in November? I'm confused. So maybe they're trailing behind and looking for warmth? There's no way they're not seeing the glass. It's dirty as all getup and there's a terrible glare on it at night. PLUS in order to even get up to our windows, these birds are flying under a giant awning. It's just bizarre. And there are no trees that are "sparrow friendly" near the doors either. It's all palms, and they don't like palms. (too many bats in the palms) It's just WEIRD. I mean really.
Oh, and whats weirder, they hit the SAME panel, and fall down laying on the same side of their bodies.
Oh...did I mention that we're pretty sure there's a spirit in the hotel? Maybe that has something to do with it?? Where's Karen's expertise(sp) when you need her!!!
Well, other than having depressed birds that commit suicide...how are ya honey.
I guess if you don't have curtins to close, so they don't see themselves...there isn't much you can do. Take care and just try to ignore as much as possible.

Oh NO! Birds are on the attack!
I was just starting to recover for the ja-normous bird that attacked me a week or so back, and now... I read this post and it has all came back to me now.
Maybe J/RA just attracts birds to us?

Ok... fine... last night Abi Kitty & I were on my bed watching TV and we saw a shadow on the closet door. I yelled for hubby to come look at the human shadow and when I yelled for hubby it moved away. Abi Kitty jumped down and went and chased after it like she does when we walk around to attack our feet. Yeah... then she jumped back on the bed. It was creepy.
Birds & ghosts are not my friends.
