What is Voltaren? | Arthritis Information

I have heard of it before, actually know someone on it and they said it might work for me. But they do not have RA, but do take MTX injections along with their Voltaren.

So... why would you be RXed Voltaren? What drug is it...NSAID?

Voltaren is an NSAID.  It is used as an anti-inflamitory.

Jaz takes it for pain...she could tell you more, but she unlike us...is sleeping!

I googled it... it seems it is outta the question for me as I take steriods I took Voltaren for about 2 years when first diagnosed.

It hasn't been brought up for me again since then...

I take 100 mg. of Voltaren twice a day.  I use the generic form, diclofenac.  It is working pretty well for me, I certainly wouldn't want to go without it.  I don't have any side effects like stomach issues, so for now, it is my NSAID of choice.

Nope... I take naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, Aleve).  And yes, I was sleeping.

Good Luck

I am just wondering why neither of my recent RD's have given me a NSAID. I have VERY visible swelling, and yet they just keep giving me immune surpressants.
