Milk the deadly poison, on you tube.
Interesting video

Gotta say: since I gave up milk about 5 weeks ago I've never felt better. Think about it: Humans are the only species to drink milk after infancy.I've never liked drinking milk... it always struck me as gross. There are so many other ways of getting calcium: brussels sprouts, broccoli, soy milk, calcium fortified cereals and juices. It's only the dairy farmers that make us think it has to be milk.
There are so many other ways of getting calcium: brussels sprouts, broccoli, soy milk, calcium fortified cereals and juices. It's only the dairy farmers that make us think it has to be milk.
THen we adopted our children, our son not allergic to milk but to many other things, and daughter allergic to milk and lecithin and a few other additives. Onward was our journey through soy products and a nutritionist by our sideThen a few years passed and my daughter's allergies sort of subsided and she could manage cheese and some milk, but she really did not like milk because.........she was always allergic to it and could never have it or milk products.
Since becoming pregnant she has learned that she cannot tolerate milk again so we had an appointment with a nutritionists and she got her list once again and her do's and don'ts. We hope and pray the baby is not allergic to milk! She has chosen to breast feed which will be the best for the baby, especially if the baby has a milk allergy.
Life certainly has ebbed and flowed for us. I just want happy healthy kids and grandchildren. It is all I ever wanted other than "being a family".
I didn;t bother looking at the clip. I know what milk can do to some people and it can be life threatening when an allergy is concerned, I know that first hand. TO watch my daughte rgo through it when she was younger and now...big sigh.....again, it is kind of tough. I worry about her, her pregnancy and allergies for the baby. I gotta stop worrying so much! At least we know what to look for which is more than I had when she was little. Oh how we miss our Pediatrician in Indiana............we really doooooooooo!

organic milk has hormones in it? What hormones would organic milk have?Got Milk?
heehee...sorry yall..but I love love love milk. I drink 2-3 gallons a week...
cookies and milk, bananas and milk, peanut butter and milk, chocolate milk, pb and banana sammies and milk....
milk milk milk...I love milk...
ohhhh...milk, vodka, and kaluah...(White Russian)
it's sooooo good!
Cow boob juice..I love it! Honostly if I had to break it all down..I would rather drink boob juice than eat chopped up muscles..but I eat crawfish, sashimi, raw oysters, deer, gator, bunnies....maybe it's a just a redneck thing..lol.
hmmpff...I'm hungry now...Well here's one thing I don't understand. Milk has (unless it's organic) lots of antibiotics and chemicals from the grass the cows eat in it. Antibiotics are obvoiusly given to the cows to keep them healthy. Some cows have BGH given to them to up the output of milk production. So, if when a woman is nursing she is told that anything she eats/takes will directly pass to her child dthrough her milk, why is the same not true for cows? Why are we not drinking in all the crap the cows are given?I absolutely love milk too. But it hates me and will rebel against me
kathleenT........I truly understand, but some people are terribly allergic to milk. It kind of makes you wonder when you have to completely overhaul your diet or your childs' diet due to milk. I wished she could drink it. DO you have any idea how much soy milk costs? DO you realize that even the WIC programs will not help you purchase soy milk if you are allergic to milk? Trust me I am thankful for the dairy farmers. But some people just cannot drink milk without becoming seriously ill. jode kathleenT wrote:THERE ARE NO ANTIBIOTICS IN MILK THERE IS NO BGH IN MILK. Meat is the same unless the packaging says for example in chicken that their are no antibotics, hormones or preservatives. Then their is the wonderful genetic altered corn. Health is better when better food is comsumed. I prefer the taste of free range meats. It's not a debate just a personal choice. "Whenever MILK, other than Mother's Milk, is needed. RAW GOAT'S MILK is the most logical and beneficial Milk for humans of all ages to drink. Milk should NEVER be heated at temperatures above 118F, because at 130F the enzymes are destroyed. Cow's milk has been proven to be very mucos forming, whereas goat's milk is not. Besides being the cleanest of animals, goats are virtually free from tuberculosis, brucellosis and other of the ailments which afflict the cow. The quality of goat's milk is far superior to that of a cow's because it is naturally homogenous. It has more nonprotein nitrogen, it's proteins are of better quality, and it has much higher amounts of niacin and thiamine." :) LuAnn Hey LuAnn! I've been trying to respond to this but my computer keeps 'crash dumping'. So....where do I find goats' milk in LA? It's not at the Ralphs Grocery. :-) Kathleen - I think the problem is 'good dairy's' are doing what they should be doing and the 'bad dairy's' are not. Here is a link I posted from You Tube a bit ago on Fox News. You can find more info on it under "The Corporation". This piece is called "FOX NEWS REPORTER FORCED TO LIE ABOUT MONSANTO" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pdsrlzutmY The problem is NOT that they were fired - the problem is that Monsanto was able to appeal their Whistleblower case and they were allowed to be fired IN FLORIDA, for refusing to LIE under orders from their company. This should be major news and should show us emphatically, that there is nobody out there able to fight the big corporations and get us 'true' information. Pip P.S. That being said - there are BGH's in milk. There is no 'zero tolerance' except on paper somewhere. And after I originally posted this piece months back I saw a news blurb in the LA times that said one of the major Dairy's in California was now gauranteeing "No BGH" as a concession to pressure. This is probably a dumb question - But are people 'really' alergic to milk or is there some missing enzyme that makes breaking it down the problem? Here's my reasoning, one of the people on the first page mentioned a lot of people mention being 'alergic' to milk on these boards - but those that have gone on to get further testing said they were surprised to find out that milk wasn't a culprit. See my confusion? That being said...additives can't be good for us. Pip Pip, This is partial answer to your question from same book I quoted in prior post: ASTHMA "Extreme difficulty in breathing due to raucous accumulation in the bronchial tubes. Victims who have followed Nature's principles have had no difficulty relieving themselves of this punishment caused by eating and drinking mucus-forming foods. Once relieved completely of asthma, one can readily get it back again, if he so desires, by simply eating plenty of white bread, dairy products and drinking plenty of cow's milk. In fact, almost any kind of concentrated carbohydrates and dairy products, cheese, etc. will oblige by inviting this enemy to return. Allergy tests, drug panaceas, blood and sputum studies and environment investigations are as a rule extremely useful - in making matters worse. The CAUSE of asthma is the presence of mucus." I got Asthma as an adult and was told I would never get rid of it. When I did, the Dr. brushed my condition improvement off as a fluke. If I eat moderate items, as mentioned above, I notice mucus build up in my throat and have to constantly clear it. The book is actually a juicing book but an excellant read.
LuAnn edit to correct mis-spelled word
everytime. I do love the chocolate silk soy milk but I just cannot get into the
ice creams and other alternative products. It is all about taste and texture
for me and soy just has that weird feel on the tongue. I just wish there was
something that I could take that would offset all the ill effects of consuming
milk. THERE ARE NO ANTIBIOTICS IN MILK THERE IS NO BGH IN MILK. THE DAIRY INDUSTRY HAS A ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ANTIBIOTICS IN MILK. EVERY LOAD OF MILK IS TESTED AT THE FARM AND AGAIN ON THE TRUCK BEFORE THE MILK CAN GO INTO THE SYSTEM.
I'm not sure why people continue to believe that milk is poison. In many independent studies all of these so called facts have been disproved. BGH is given to fewer and fewer BEEF cattle as the consumer demands more naturally grown food.
I'm sorry, I can't continue here. I beat my head against the wall and my hands against the desk every time this comes up, neither of which is good for me. Dairy farmers aren't out to poison the world. We are producing a safe and quality product. If you don't want to drink it, fine. But don't spread unfounded lies about it.
Ok, calmed down a bit. It occurs to me that that video is from 1998, almost 10 years ago.
Crunchy, thank you, by the way.
Jasmine, I'm not sure why you think farmers have so much power - we are 1% of the population and dairy farmers are a very small percentage of that 1%. I think you have been fed a very strangely warped view of who we are and what we do.
Kathleen Are you saying that there is no need to pay the extra bucks for organic milk? I started buying organic a few months ago.
The dairy industry actually coined the phrase 'zero tolerance' several years ago when coming up with its own standards - these were not imposed on us from "above", we wrote them ourselves - regarding the use of antibiotics. If a truck load of milk with milk from our farm in it is found to have antibiotics and if our sample is the one that tests positive, we have bought that load of milk. And I'm talking a big tanker truck - 50,000 pounds ( a gallon is 8.6 pounds ) - that's a lot of milk. And every load is tested.
jody, I can sympathise with you over milk allergies. One of daughters is allergic to milk and several people in my husband's family are also. It is hard to work around food allergies, believe me I know, my husband and I have several between us.
