Good morning , its a really windy day here and sooooo cold. Brr... Well I have some good news, Hubby wants to take me to New York for a week before christmas. WOW!! I have never been before so any input on good places to go and stay would be great. I dont care if I am in the middle of a hUge flare I AM GOING
It is chilly here this morning...right now at 4am it is 56...yay..I am so sick of hot weather..lol and it was just a few months ago I was complaining about the cold..guess I need to move to Hawaii!

Pin, my husband and I went there last weekend. We found the nicest little
hotel that was not all that expensive (by NY standards anyway). It is very
clean and quiet and great service. They offer a great breakfast which is part
of the price. Very small rooms but comfortable and modern. Just
remodeled. If you are interested, PM me and I"ll give you name and number.

The crud I have has moved to ears...five days and no relief...I'm so sore from coughing my ribs are sore and I have muscle spasms in my back. I guess it's time to revisit the Dr.

I was dreaming about WWE wrestlers and I was one of them, but not as myself but as one of th guy wrestlers. I do not even like wrestling.
I remember going to sleep thinking about how my dreams of having a BIG truck about 5 feet off the ground, that you had to have a ladder to climb into with BIG mud-grip tires so you could go mud riding in and not get stuck, have been dashed. I would not be able to climb up in it even when I get well.
Abi Kitty is sitting on my shoulder like a bird as I type this. Yeah now that hubby is not home she wants to have something to do with me. I think she LOVES hubby a little too much
WWE is cool Joonie, have you ever watched it? I never liked it either till hubby and Kelsay started watching it. Kelsay gets pretty into it as well its kinda funny

I have been made to watch it since 1998. when it was WCW! I use to dispise wrestling and I still do. Good thing hubby is not that much of a fanatic about it like he was when we first got married. It annoyed me to no end to hear him qoute the wrestlers. "Open up a can of whoop-ass" "Lay the smack down on your rudy poo candy ass." "Austin 3:16" "Suck It". You name the catch phrase I know who said it.Don't you think all that stuff is fake and it's just used for entertainment?

Yeah, Rocks movies are great. I even like the rock now. But not when he was "rudy poo candy ass" or "You smell what the Rock is cookin?" Yeah.... not so much then.
Oh and John Cena's movie was GOOD! Daughter would have LOVED to have been able to watch that one.

Well, tummy seems to have settled a lot...slept great. Woke up with temp slightly elevated still. Joint pain is still there, but not as bad as yesterday. Maybe it was just some sort of flare??? IDK. I will get a message today, and then I have to get my eyes checked at four. I am hoping he will not dialate them again...but I think he will, to check on cateracts.

Lisa, you will love NYC. It is electric - it has an energy of it's own that I swear emanates from the buildings and streets themselves. It FEELS different than any other city I have visited.
My son Jamie is going to New York tomorrow for a school field trip. They are going to see "Rent". I wish he was seeing a different play, but the teacher loves "Rent". . .

Oh Mona hunny…I am so sorry you are feeling so cruddy. If it is any consolation, my voice is going again and I am snotting all over the place. I hope you feel better soon!!! Rest and drink lots of fluids. If your cougfh doesn’t stop…call the doc for some prescription cough syrup. I know it is nasty but it really does help.

Brrrrrrr it was coooooold this morning. 30 degrees!!! It is now only 35 at 945 AM CST!!! Danielle is still home and most likely home the rest of the week. Both of us are on pred packs. Fun, fun, fun times in my house!!! LOL!! Poor Danny is just going nuts with our cravings lol. I have called for her work for the week. Monday I will put in a call to the RD for her and changing up her meds. It is time. Flares are closer together and more intense. She has already asked for a Tylenol with codeine this morning. She is snuggled in my bed in front of the TV just watching some mindless TV. She slept off and on with me all day yesterday. I’m sure she will do the same today. Time for me to gimp off and get in the shower. We have to run over to the high school and have a nice conversation with the Dean of Students and how she treated my child yesterday. Now mind you, my child was no innocent in the situation and she did admit her wrong doing (some name calling and that is unacceptable at home or anywhere else), but she was treated very badly by the Dean of Students and momma bear and poppa bear need to have a conversation with the woman. This is not the only time we have had to have a conversation with this Dean. We are not the only parents either to have such a conversation. It really is bad when you talk to parents and they all can not stand this woman and they all have something not so nice to say about her. What a great way to start my day!!! NOT!!!

LOL, it's not that I don't want him seeing it, but there are so many new plays on Broadway - exciting new shows that I think he would enjoy more. Rent has been around forever, and the storyline is so dark and depressing.
On the other side, Jamie is going to be looking for the technical aspects of a show, probably more than the play itself. That is what he does and where his career goals lie. He has been fortunate to work on The Lion King and Spamalot, and I know he would enjoy seeing a more current show, with lots of lighting and special effects, and unique staging.
Lisa... I now know what I was going to say. When you go to NYC visit one of the the Biggest stores there, which is Macy's Department store. It has 9 floorsw/escalators and I think elevators.

Alright…what a day!! I need prayers for my family please!! I just got a call from our oldest daughter whom as most of you know is pregnant and due on Dec. 9th with our grandson and she has been in car accident. She was rear ended and hit the steering wheel. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and admitted to the Birthing Center where they are monitoring her. She is having some mild contractions that she can feel and they can be seen on the monitor. They have given her 2 liters of fluids in hopes of stopping the contractions. So far, the fluids have not worked and they have a call into the doctor on call since she is not at the hospital where her own
I can not stand the hospital where she is at and neither can she nor the rest of our/her family. We are hoping she can be transferred if it looks like labor is imminent. I will keep everyone updated as I know anything. Please pray for us. I think the baby will be ok since our due date is only a month away. As of last week the little guy was guesstimated to weigh about 6lbs. already. I’m sure they will do the test to see how ready his lungs are if labor can not be stopped.
Whew what a week! I will make this trip down to IL if I have to. I will make it down there even if it kills me!!!! I am getting the camera battery all charged up just in case!!! If we do have to go down, we probably will not leave until tomorrow. I really do not want to miss the birth of my grandson at all, but I have

The contractions are those annoying Braxton-Hicks contractions that do nothing!! Her uterus is still soft and she is not dialating. She is going to go home and be on bed rest for a week and light duty for the remainder of her pregnancy after that. I wanna see bed rest happen with a 4 year old!! LOL!! Whew….that was scary. Thank you to everyone for your support!! I really just want the little guy to stay where he belongs for as long as possible lol. Time for dinner. Lasgna and garlic bread!!!! Where is everybody? Helloooooooo Gramma glad everthing is good with your daughter and the baby, I know that was scary!

The docs say to expect the NG tube to come out tomorrow or Friday, and to be eating stuff like Jell0o, Popsicles, and soup around Sundayish. YAY!!!

It's 26 here Joonie...that's even cold to me...brrrr! I still have my window open but the heat is on.

i think it will get down to 31 like it said. i am so cold. i am shivering and it is making me hurt more. darn it! abi kitty is a nut... she will jump in the shower and attack the water. MIL was just amazed how abi kitty would just stand in the shower with the water running and her trying to attack the water Katie di you swell a bunch when you little. My granddaughter hurts alot of time in her arms. She will wake up crying and ask for magic water. Her mom crushes an asprin and puts it a glass of water. I was thinking her other grandmother may have RA instead of fibro. Because her face is a bit lopsided and she had to go to the hospital one day with stroke symptoms. Anyway the other grandmothers face and symptoms are alot like i get. Has me wondering.I did swell a lot. For some reason I don't really anymore, but the symptoms have also changed a little, so that could be part of it.
i am going to go take a shower see if that warms me up and makes my right knee feel better i twisted it walking to son's room about 45 mins ago now my knee is swelled like i "like" it
