Come out, come out, wherever you are!!!

I just finished reading Jason's thread about lurking for quite a while and finally deciding to post.  It got me thinking about how many other potential newbies we have out there who are so desperately in need of our sage advice (LOL).  No, really.  Come on out y'all. (I live in the south now so I can say that).  We'd love to meet you and hear your health story.  Maybe we can help you and maybe we can learn from you too!  At the very least, we'll all have made a few new friends.

I agree Jesse...I hope all of the new people come out in droves, and join us in this fight, and have some laughter too.

Thanks Shelly...... United We Stand, There's Safety in Numbers, Misery Loves Company........

I just realized there's a whole section for newbies that I didn't know about.  I'm afraid those people don't get the same response and support they would get if they were here.  I hope we didn't lose anyone that way.

Good idea for a thread Jesse < =text/>_popupControl();

I love new people to the board!!!  Everyone come on out!! We don’t bite!!  Well, unless ya want us to lol.

For the people that are new and just kind of lurking about checking out posts.  Post!!!  I realize and understand how intimidating it can be to post when you are new, but I also really feel in order to really feel comfortable with the board and really get answers to your questions and not feel so alone with this icky ole disease, you need to post!!!  You really would not believe the welcome you will get when you make that first post.  You will be like WOW!!!  People really do care and I really am not alone!!  It’s like a weight that is lifted off of your shoulders.

So as our sage and wise Jesse says, Come on out ya’all!!  I can’t say that since I am in WI so I will say what we say up here….Ya hey dere…c’mon on out, eh?

We Want to Get to Know You!!

Grammaskittles lies! Some of us do bite! I am not one of them, but I have seen them. *looks to the left, then to the right*

They only bite when there is a pale full moon.

Did ya'll know the moon is NOT made of cheese?! It does look like a BIG swiss cheese ball! MMMMMMmmmmm..... swiss cheese!!

joonie39393.7629282407I agree.  Post everybody.  I like reading about other new people so I can see how this started for everyone.  I don't even know if I have RA, and I really really hope I don't, but everyone here has been great and very helpful.

I see we have a new friend Angie who has just joined us on her "Newbie" thread.  Anyone else?  You can start here or start your own thread.  We'd love to welcome you!!!  We know you'd rather not have to be part of this little group, we totally get that, but if you are struggling with RA and/or it's related diseases, or you know someone who is, or you just have questions in general about this forum, we'd love to hear from you.

This site is great, and very welcoming.  As for how my symptoms started - probably around 8 months ago.  In the mornings I was having a really hard time walking because my feet and ankles hurt so badly.  I kept thinking it was because I needed new skates (I played hockey all the time).   Then about three months ago, feet and ankles brought the rest of my joints into the party.  My 1st rheumy appointment is in March, so until then I have "momma's little helper" - oxycodone.  I could take 8 per day, but I usually only take 3.

You guys are awesome! (normally I would probably say "great", but the oxy makes me a little more expressive and happy)   Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! I AM SO GUILTY!...............!

Actually have been feeling so good and have been taking care of a number of responsibilities and things I hadn't been able to for about the last four years.  Until I have caught up on reading the board you probably won't hear much out of me but eventually I'll be adding my thoughts.

** Take Care  **

Hi Kara and Watchingwolf, welcome to our crazy, fun, informative forum.  There are many people here just dying to help you with your daily struggles. Post any old time and remember there are no stupid questions.  We really mean that!

P.S. to Watching: You're a very naughty wolf but we forgive you and anxiously await your thoughts as well.

I've been a member for a long time and have learned a lot and been helped a lot by this forum. I just had the surprise of my life and had to have valve replacement surgery. Needless to say this sure left me without the energy to do any posting but as soon as I was able to get over to my computer I've been following a lot of the posts here.

Thanks for being here

Hi lurking Newbies!

Watchingwolf, are you feeling good from AP therapy? I remember once you posted it was working for you, to the surprise of many of us who didn't even know you were using it. Or am I way off base? Please do tell what makes you feel so good?
Hi Tiana!  Are you feeling better now that you've had the surgery?  What caused the problem that made it necessary?
