Please help!

I have loads of muscle pain from fibro and it hurts really bad at times. Sorry you haven't had any answers yet but hang in there...these diagnoses can take a while unfortunately. Just wanted to welcome to the board...someone will come along in while that can help you better. Good Luck!

Hi Mom, have you had your potassium cked? Try adding a bannana or two in your diet everyday. Also muscle relaxers might help you. I take flexeril at bedtime and it helps me sleep.

Best wishes

I have constant calf ache and discomfort.

I was diagnosed this year with an inflammitory arthritis and at my last visit Fibro. I ache and sleep alot when my fibro is acting up. My sister in law is in the 1st stages of the same kind of problems and is awaiting her blood work. I told her even if all comes back fine, don't let the doc's brush you off. I worked for my doctor and he told me my positive ANA was a "false positive" and I was fine. I didn't listen of course cause I was hurting so bad and I made an appointment with a RD. Almost a year later and a bunch of meds I do feel better but to get to this point I went through hell as I am sure alot of others in this group have. I guess what I am trying to say is stay active in your health and demand help. I think some doctors are just LAZY!!

Good luck from a mom of three boys!

Hi Mom, sorry you are hurting. A couple of things to check into. Have you
had your potassium and calcium levels checked. You could be deficient.
Also, could you have some plantar faschitis going on? there are some really
nice Dr Sholls things you can put in your shoes. They are shaped like a
horse shoe and fit in the heel of your shoe. They are worth trying. Also,
have you been checked for blood clots in your legs. Maybe your doctor
needs to look further into this pain especially if it is new and sudden onset.

I suffer from terrible calf and foot pain, no visable swelling either and i have been like this since my RA diagnosis. My rheumy said its all part of RA. ( my potassium is fine but get yours checked out) I hope you feel better soon.

Hope you'll get better soon.  Take care, and let me know what happens.  Dotti51 Hi and Welcome Mom2boys!

At one time or another almost every muscle in my body has hurt, which is why the RD suspected fibro in addition to the other issues.  But now that the RA drugs have stopped those pains for the most part, I'm not so sure it was fibro at all. It could have been RA and yours could be too. Keep after your doctor until you get some definitive answers.  Early, aggressive treatment is key.
