After yet another toy recall, I am getting really tired of the crap that is being fed to our kids on a daily basis.
I've long been a proponent of things like building blocks, and simple imaginative play so I googled "toys made in the USA and came up with quite a few links.
Crayola brand crayons are still produced in the USA. some of thier other products are not, so read the labels, but you cant go wrong with a 64 box of crayolas and a nice pad of paper.. and scissors and elmers glue (made in the usa) and well you get the idea.
home made play doh is made in your own kitchen and its 100 times cheaper than that smelly stuff.. but anyway if you MUST spend $ lets keep it at home.

Kathy, I made this comment on the post about the toy recall:
If I were a parent I'd buy U.S. made toys, period. It has nothing to do with politics or race, it has to do with quality control. I don't know if it was accidental or a particularly heinious act but it's happened over and over. I'm not sure our government will take a strong stance with China, but you as a consumer can certainly make an impact. We have choices. Lindy
