Forum freedom can be equated to any freedom. Everybody has a different opinion of what freedom is. Everyone believes that everyone should be free as long as it is in the bounds of their opinion of what freedom is.
Think about it even in the big circle. We are told that we live in a free society. We certainly aren't free. We probably have more restraints than most arab nations. Not just that but our freedoms are in levels. The poor have close to the least amount of freedom because they cannot afford to protect their freedom. Police certainly have much more freedom than do most of us. So many people hated O.J. Simpson for his defense. That should be the standard, not the exception. If we are accused of a crime, the government will spend a million dollars to take away our freedom. They will pay expert witnesses 0.00 per hour plus expenses to say anything they are told to say to ensure that we lose in court. More and more we are finding that people were railroaded by corrupt prosecutors and police and that the police and prosecutors are free from prosecution. The cities usually just pay millions of taxpayer dollars to "make it right". Most people cannot afford justice. American justice is no more than a whore with everybodies hands up her dress. Here in Michigan, back then Wayne County Sherriff Ficano decided to have a sobriety roadblock. He decided to have the roadblock in the poorest part of the very poor city of Inkster. The Sherriff could have had the roadblock down the street from the Detroit Athletic Club where all the politicians and judges etc meet and drink and the Sherriff could have taken almost every driver that pulled out of the club to jail only Sherriff Ficano wouldn't have a job on Monday, know what i mean? It doesn't happen, they are more free than the average citizen. Police, prosecutors and judges are supposed to be three seperate and unbiased entities of justice. They aren't, they are actually one. Your word is less than a police officers, they don't lie, citizens lie. If you get a two hundred dollar ticket, it costs three hundred dollars for the lawyer to get it dropped down with no points. Outrageous. A congresswoman assualts a Capitol police officer and the officer backs down and the congresswoman is not arrested or charged with assault. Try it sometime and see what jumps on your neck. If someone assualts me, they may be fined, if they assualt a police officer, they automatically get two years. So there is a lot of different freedoms.

For those that are made so sad because of some of the o/t subjects and the name calling and the hot tempers this freedom works out well for them because they get to use their forum freedom to try to show that they are these forum angels that hate anything but true forum peace and everything else makes them sad sick. Seems like if someone were to die from cancer their overly sad hearts would just stop. There is no doubt in my mind that these type people click on the o/t thread as soon as another member threads in a post, just to become more sad i guess. They could just not read it which is their forum freedom but then they couldn't try flying in like the forum angel they want us to believe they are. Most all of us have an immune disease, but we also have other parts of our lifes. What is so hard about not reading o/t topics. I know, then you can't fly in on your angelic horses with wings.
The part that we lose members because of o/t topics is ridiculus. This is a social club. We may welcome all new members but if they don't find a place to sit or are otherwise not really as into a forum as we are they leave. Most complaints from new members is that they don't feel like part of the club. People will come and go and not make one bit of difference to the way the world turns. In the past when there was so much turmoil on this forum, it was not unusual to find up to 90 members and guests at any one time. Look how many come in now, just the usual social club.
We allow another owner of another forum to "waddle" into our forum with her love and hugs and invite all the members to her forum, well and good. Is she inviting all of her members to visit the AI forum? Of course not. Kiss, kiss, hug, hug, "I love you." If you are worried about losing members, talk to her next time, give her some tough love. She's only a member here because she is allowed to spam. Kiss, kiss.
A new member has proclaimed to be a new member and her disgust with o/t subjects and her second post is on an o/t thread. Hello, anybody home in there? She doesn't say that her questions concerning our disease wasn't addressed, no she just jumped into o/t to complain about o/t. New member, what are your RA questions?

I have a feeling they were looking for more than just drunks. Drug dealers and lot's of crime are committed in these neighborhoods and sometimes, this kind of event really helps to get some of the bad guys off the streets. I don't post on these boards often, but I do check in a lot. Like everything in life, take it with a grain of salt. We are a potpourie. Some smell good and some stink and i guess even that depends on who's nose is doing the smelling. I think we should keep it rated G or PG at most, certainly not R or X. Sometimes children do visit and even adults have the right to be offended by R & X rated posting but again, that's just my opinion. Anyway, I've missed my blast off time and will have to use the thrusters to get me "there" on time. Gotta blast.

So anyway,
The o/t topic is again being debated. It's amazing to me that someone posts an o/t thread about posters of o/t threads condeming them and then asks, "why was I attacked?" on another o/t thread that she started. Asking a question like that is like walking into the traffic of I-75 expressway in downtown Detroit at 4 oclock in the afternoon on a Friday and then asking, "Why did they run me over?"
Forum freedom is a wonerful thing. The turmoil allows for the peace angels to swoop in, cause turmoil with her o/t post and get hugs and kisses from the other angel of peace, causing more battles and turmoil and hard feelings and never be bothered that rather than bring peace by saying nothing she too has cause less peace. Isn't forum freedom wonderful?
It amazes me that it is so hard to scroll past o/t topics with out clicking on them. So if I may make a suggestion, when you use your mouse to scroll down the page of topics, use both hands, keep your fingers crossed, toes and tongue crossed and we'll all be pulling for you and if you use both hands maybe you can scroll past those o/t topics that will cause your soul such anguish. Remember, we're all pulling for you.
