Greetings all!  I've got a few errands to do today, but for the most part I'm gonna sit on my behind. Hey Jas!  I don't have much going today either.  My daughter and I are going out to Beaners for coffee.  Now that my shoulders almost better I'm going to try going for a run later, if not, a walk will do.  Aside of that, I'm free all day.  Don't even have housework or laundry.  I think we have plans with some friends tonight though.

I guess I am free all day everyday...

Hubby went to work today. SSo, that means no slwwping in for me with 2 kids arguing and calling each other "Tittybaby". And then daughter yelling "He is going to kill Abi!" For some reason she thinks he is going to kill the cat. I have seen her do much worse to the cat like... she let the mean neighbor girl breathe her nasty smelling breath on her, I mean the cat could have probably killed over right there on the spot! I am just glad Abi "knows" how to hold her breath.
... but for the most part I'm gonna sit on my behind.
Me too... ... ...the weather has changed and my body, like the barometer is unsettled. I have a couple of new real books and a couple of reel books to keep my mind active and am brewing a pot of herbal tea to soothe what ails me. This particular blend has two different types of hops in it and it truly is soothing.

In another thread there was some talk about procrastination, today I am queen of that realm!

May your roads be smooth, your skies clear, and your day filled with joy and contentment. Happ

I guess it'll be an easy day for all.  So far anyway.  I'm going to hit the mill. Ciao

Sorry guys I missed all the fun last night.  I went down to quilt for a while...I came back upstairs very slowly at 10:30, and went to bed.

Karen...I know what you are saying about uneven ground.  Never mind that my eyes are going and I can't see it...yep, it always messes me around.

I would love to have an "easy" day, but I have laundry calling and stuff like that.

Take it easy and have a great Saturday...I will try to check back later.

Hi guys it's 3.45am here in Aus and I can't sleep, so I made myself a coffee, I know, I know, but I can drink it anytime and it doesn't stop me sleeping usually.  Today my husbands under 10's soccer team are having their end of season do, usually quite fun, but my son Liam is feeling sleepy all the time due to meds for epilepsy, they have now added Endep  for anxiety, poor kid, he is so drowsy, apparently, this wears off.  I have been spoiling him along with hubby to make him feel special and his brother too, we took them to WWE Raw on Thurs night, brilliant, I can't wait to go again!!!  What a show?  Thanks for listening, Janie.XX

Janie you went to a wredstling match? Was it good? My hubby has always wanted to go to one, but I do not care for wrestling, but I can try to like it for one night *smile like ya mean it*.

Shelly what is going on with your eyes? You must have posted about this when I was in my drug induced haze & sleepy.

Well... here is something for ya'll.

Last night we went to the city my mom lives in to visit her wal-mart and we ran into her. Woohoo!! I miss my mommy. But this is abusy time of year for her and her senior & church group.

Anyways... we were getting gas and daughter climbed up into the drivers seat and noticed the button for the emergency flashers. She asked me what it was. I told her it was an eject button and if she pushed it it would eject her outta the car thru the roof of the car and it would land her in cow poo. She laughed so hard, and actually believed me. hehehehee I told her to push the button and see if she gets ejected and she depressed it and then grabbed hold of the steering wheel. Then she noticed the blinkers were flashing. hehehehehe

She told hubby about it when he got back in the car... he was like that was a good one! We like messing with daughter. We tell her all kinds of crazy stuff. Helps with her imagination.

Happ? Did you find out who sent you the flowers? I said you already found out and called the florist to find out. Nope, spoke with a billing clerk at the florists and was told, "no further information available".

So, I am enjoy the flowers, reveling in the scent of ecalyptus and enjoying the mystery!

Awww... bummer! What kind of florist does not know who paid for the flowers? I think the person paid someone a good tip for that "No further information available."

Welp, enjoy them... and have a good day. Had the girls at swimming lessons this morning - fixed the side gate and now I've got a shower fixture to replace (might get to that next weekend). I'm going to try to get the girls to the Bee movie tonight.  I'm sore as hell but have to keep moving.  Hope everyone has a great day.

Ok, Joonie...my eyes...my eyes.  Well, in the process of harboring this disease my eyes have been greatly affected.  I have both glaucoma and cateracts.  I am losing some of my sight, and it is coming more clear to me that one or the other is not behaving right now.  So, I am not judging distances well, and not seeing perifially very well either.  I do have a follow up on WEd, and they will dialate my eyes.  So, I guess stay tuned.

Happ...golly...they did not want you to find out!  How fun!!! I would love a mystery like that.

Kara....glad you are posting more.  I used to love swimming lessons for the babies(of course mine are 17 and 15).  They did one year on a swim team in different events, so I think I have seen a lot of pools in my day!

Just heard from DD, her and her partner may have made it into the semi-finals for debate.  The topic is hard this year.  It is about aid to Africa!  I want her home.  DS had his friend spend the night, so I am surrounded by testosterone....need some girl stuff!

Im around here somewhere too, freaking out cause my favorite are missing on my IE....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOL

Oh no Shannon!!  I would hate to have to reconstruct my favorites.  grrr!

Hey there,

Been working on putting away a pirate ship and all the fixin's, LOL.  Actually I have not done very much.  I work a while and then sit a while.  "My men" have been doing the bulk of the work and have made very good progress.  No more ship in the driveway.  Tomorrow we get rid of the interior, I hope.  We have some folks from a local school coming by tomorrow to get some of the scrap lumber.  They are building a mock up of an African "shanty" while they study the African culture, so our pirate ship is sailing off to Africa

Tonight hubby and I are ushering for the play "Chicago" at the theatre.  It's a cheap date for us, we get everyone seated and then we get to watch the show for free!  Now I just hope we are up to it after working all day.  I will look like "Eyegore" in Young Frankenstein as I tell folks to "Walk this way" to their seats!

Ooh, Happ, the flowers sound great.  Almost better that it's a mystery.  You can sit and daydream about who might have sent them.

I'm joining those in the sit on your behind club.  My boyfriends at work, and I have been told by all around me to sit on my butt and get better, so I will attempt to do exactly that!  Actually I'm sitting here trying to think of how to trick the bf into sending me flowers.  That sounds so nice!

Karen...you will be the best looking Eyegore around!  Enjoy your date...maybe you can con a dinner out of it anyway!

Special...good luck with the con job...hope it works for ya!

Hi All,

Karen I loved Young Frankenstein. How often do you usher? It sounds like a great way to see the shows. I would do it in a heartbeat.

I have a messy house and no ambition. I slept good and hard and can not get motivated. I will be great tomorrow i think took my last cipro. Hooray!! It makes me tired. I think i feel better and can see better in the morning before i take my medicine.  Anyway I may just take a pain pill and go back to bed. If i have that much ambition? LOL

Jay, my husband and I usher a lot.  We can pretty much see any show we want to that way.  Next week we are going to usher for Whoopi Goldberg, which is sure to be a fun time.

Tonight is closing night of the run, so it will be a sold out crowd, I'm sure.  That is always more challenging, but the performance is usually filled with such energy, it really makes it worth it.  And who knows, we might just get swept along to the cast party for a little fun afterwards.

Have a great time Karen. Whoopi should be a blast. Do you vollenteer (sp) or is this a paying Gig. All volunteer Jay.  No pay, just free fun.I may have to check into it locally. It can't hurt to ask. Do the kids volunteer as well? (Did they!)Happ, I finally got all the ingredients together for the Pumpkin Cheesecake and it has 40 more minutes in the oven. Everything was on sale, so if it turns out I'll take it to my mom's for Thanksgiving, instead of buying a 25.00 Harvest Cheesecake. The cookies were so hard I couldn't break them with my teeth, guess that's why they were BOGO. DD had to turn them into crumbs and even she complained. She said they were putting dents in the wooden table when she was crushing them with the rolling pin. I have my fingers crossed.Anyway i am off to go soak in a nice bath. I will take my pain pill after so i do not fall alsleep in the bath tub. Caffine is not even helping today. I will let you know if the pain pill motivates me any. I think i may pron to move around more if i take the edge off the pain. But some of it is simple fatigue. I am expecting company tonigth. And my guy is a clean person. I have been sick all week and do not want to give the wrong impression. I am not really a slob. I have how ever been known to throw out dirty dishes. Ususally because i was working 16 hours a day and did not have the time. Well that has not been the case lately. And i do not throw out good stuff just glad ware. Plastic stuff.

Hola! I'm at work and it is soooo sloooowwwwww. Hehe but I guess that's a good thing! :)

I read everyone's posts here.....and by the time I got to posting this, I have NO IDEA what was said :( *sigh* Sorry!!!!!

Hey Katie.  Slow here right now, but I'm gonna have to go shower up soon.  Going out to the casino tonight.  Don't love the casino much. I always feel a sucker if I gamble.  But I like the friend swe're going with so it should be a fun time.  Plus, we're going to dinner in Greektown first.  Love the Old Parthenon.  One of my favesI'd love to go to a Casino, but I scare myself. LOL Can you just sit and play nickel slots? Seems like those would be less scary. Ya know, cause you only lose a nickel at a time!
Actually I'm sitting here trying to think of how to trick the bf into sending me flowers.  That sounds so nice!
Maybe begin by mentioning how much you would enjoy a gift of flowers and how much more you would enjoy them if they came from him and provide him with the florists number.

*LOL* I have always been one to ask for what I want rather than hint!
And i am going to take a nice warm epsonsalt bath here shortly.
Oooooh, that sounds wonderful. I keep looking at walk in bathtubs, but they are beyond my current budget. But, oh, to be able to soak my whole body would be heavenly.
I was thinking about throwing the dishes out instead of washing them...
*LOL* I have that same thought from time to time!If it makes you feel better, we HAVE thrown dishes out before. Year before last when Justin was in the hospital with pancreatitis, we had left things in the sink, and I was just SO .....WHOOSH about everything, running to and fro and the car died on me, and the cats were nutty and the nurses were SO MEAN to him, I just didn't even remember they were there until he came home a week later. By that time all of my symptoms started rearing their ugly head and I just said "SCREW IT" and whatever was in the sink, went into the garbage.  It felt SO GOOD to do.I feel so dishonest. I parted my hair on the other side to cover up one side od my face. I threw things in the closet like dirty clothes. Clean clothes i should of hung up threw them in the dirty clothes also. I like the side of my face that is puffy better it makes me look younger. Actually i do not no if my friend will come by tonight or tomorrow depends on how late it is when he gets back home.Oh I love the slots Link but you probably already left.Nope Milly, not yet.Katie, did Justin get his popsicle today?

edited to ask: and have you rested and eaten and taken care of yourself?Happ39396.7390277778Yes ma'am! He had Jell-o and soup too! And I brought him some candy canes :) He's in much better spirits now, and was even talking about playing some Uno with me when I get off work tonight! Yay!
Yay!
Indeed!

I've never thrown away dises but I've thrown away a pot or pan.

Milly, it's not dishonest to do those things.

Oh, here comes my husband, time to go!!  Wish me luck

I don't think I threw out that much, it was like, a thing of tupperware that I had multiples of, some stray plates and a couple of crappy silverware thingies. Not a lot. I don't actually have a full matching dishes set yet anyway. With it just me and Justin, we buy plates that "look neat" and same for cups, so NOTHING matches. Oh well!
With it just me and Justin, we buy plates that "look neat" and same for cups, so NOTHING matches. Oh well!
Me too! I adore the off beat, the unusual, and yes the wacky. Recently I was in an "antique" store (yeah, junk shop would be more truthful) and found four Noritake plates, square-shaped, with four different full-rigged sailing ships. They look stunning with some red carnival glass glasses and the remnants of a rosewood and bronze knife and fork set all laid out on a cut-work applique table cloth with mismatched napkins.

I like kitsch!I do not do it everyday. But a couple of times a year i really do i just pitch it. If a whole sink full of dishes has been sitting in the sink to long and i do not feel up to or have time. I use a lot of paper plates and glad ware. But i sometimes over work my right arm and it quits on me and makes it hard to work. I had to un tie a not in my camy. Normally it is to big guess my shoulders are more swollen than i thought. Did have a not in the staps so it would fit undid the nots and it fit just fine. Because i have lost wieght not gained wieght.Oh we're not that "classy" LMAO We buy things like penguin printed plates, and batman plates, and spongebob....I have an array of Alice mugs, etc etc. We're such children sometimes. You'd never know it, by the HORDES of toys we've collected
But a couple of times a year i really do i just pitch it. If a whole sink full of dishes has been sitting in the sink to long
I call that efficiency management!

Milly, I know all about knotting and unknotting straps as my body shifts first one way and then back the other. I have found a good solution is to buy men's ribbed undershirts, wash them several times to make them soft and wear them on days when more feminine garments are too much effort or beyond the capabilities of my fingers. They are comfortable and have enough stretch that they fit no matter which way the shift goes.

On some of them I have embroidered dainty flowers, butterflies, or other goodies and on a couple I have stitched some handmade lace around the neck.

FWIW.Hi Everyone, I'm new but have enjoyed reading your posts and hope to get involved if you'll have me. I worked overtime today but i'm having a pretty pain free day so I'm one happy civil servant. Hope eveyone is having a great night and I hope to get to know some of you soon. Take care & Sweet Dreams!
... We're such children sometimes...
Perfect!!
... hope to get involved if you'll have me.
Oh YES, we will have you, with pleasure. Pull up your keyboard, get yourself something pleasant to drink, and join us as you can.

Hello and welcome!

We went on a date memorial day. Then i get sick and he got a blood clot in his main artery. Well his blood clot is breaking up very nicely. Well there is a spot on his lungs? Anyway I have a date.
Anyway I have a date.
Happ, was does "con brio" mean?

And Barbara - of COURSE we'll have you. The more the merrier!

Con brio=with courage. Oooooo neat! Hey thats big news around here if i have a date. He better get healthy too. I don't know if i could take care of him if he gets to sick on me. Of course I am an hour late for any of the fun.  So, where did everyone go?

Happ, I just love your attitude about life.  YOu truely are my hero!

I'm here!! Eating my noodles and parm!

Well, if you had my dinner tonight you might have tummy problems.  It is pork chops in gravy...has been cooking for an hour so they will fall off the bones.  Stuffing and mixed vegies and peaches.  I love noodles in butter though!  I also like noodles and parmesean!

As long as theres no dairy in it, I'm good! I haven't had pork chops in forever, Justin doesn't like them. Hmm maybe I'll get mommy to make some when I go up to WI next month!

 Hey you guys!

How is everyone tonight? Out having a life like normal people?

Katie Justin sounds like he's doing sooo good, I'm so happy for you guys.

Well hubby and me have been gone all day! Went to lunch then went everywhere in 2 counties looking at countertop material, we're having the kitchen redone for me for Christmas...I'm so excited!

Do you really like it pammy?, I've heard it can be fragile and hard to take care of...do you like the way it holds up?

OOOo have fun with that kitchen!!! I AM a noodle!! Didn't you know that?? hahahah

I'm so tickled. I just got to change one of my manager's bandages. LOL He had shoulder surgery, and everyone else was too squeemish to help him.

 Katie there is no doubt that was a piece of cake to you! < =text/>_popupControl();

I vote yes to Nursing school for Katie!

I would go granite, cause you can clean them with the bleach soft scrub!!  Anything that I can bleach is good for me.  I actually have not heard that they are that fragile, but your hubby would know.

Ok, so the boys were reading these too, and we all had tears running down our eyes...Thanks Liz!!!

You could replace "tennessee" with alabama, arkansas, georgia, mississippi, lousiana, kentucky........ < =text/>_popupControl(); Those were just too good not to share.  I get a lot of jokes but my sense of humor runs on the more racy side so I don't post a lot of them lol.

Oh, and Wyoming...don't forget the hicks in this neck of the woods!

< =text/>_popupControl(); Ok this is my closing thought for the night since I am on a roll this evening.  I was reading the package for Midol since Arielle is having some pretty bad cramps.  I haven't had that stuff around for a few years since I had a hysterectomy so I thought...hmmm better read this stuff so I know what I am doing.  I'm reading this and one of the warning is: Do not take if you have an enlarged prostate.

LOL Shelly I probably will go with granite, saw some that was really pretty, hubby just wants me to choose something, I can't decide on colors.

I will probably ask my neice what I want, she's a kitchen and bath designer

 Hey Link!

LOL I know the feeling...it's about time for all those 20 year things to come due...we already replaced the roof, a new heat pump, dug a new well, all in the last five years. Windows will be the next really big expense in the next couple of years

Everything does seem to go at the same time don't it? We had to replace the dishwasher and hot water heater in the last year. Oh and the washing machine too. Still cant't decide on anything.*sigh* My sister walked into Lowe's and was out with countertop and ceramic tile in 15 minutes. Not me!Anyone still here?????
