Are any of you on Lyrica?  I just started and curious about the results other people have had.  Thanks.

Hey Ginger I was on LYRICA for a short time, I am very drug intolerent needless to say it didn't work well for me.

I've been on Lyrica for about 4 months and I've had a dramatic decrease in pain from fibro and perip. neuropathy.  It's worked well for me.  I've been on it long enough that I don't have anymore side effects.  Gained a few lbs. but am working to take them off.  Hope it works for you.  LindyI was diagnosed with fibromyalgia just today and doctor prescribed Lyrica.  First of all, I think I may have been misdiagnosed and plan to get a second opinion.  However, out of curiosity I looked up the side effects of Lyrica--yes, including weight gain--and decided that even if I do have fibromyalgia I'd rather have the pain than risk the side effects.  ^ You won't be saying that for much longer! FMS is a terrible thing to live with. It is debilitating, frustrating, and painful.  Once you've had it for a while, you will want to do anything to make it go away.  Gaining weight is not the worst thing that could happen to you. In fact, it will help your FMS more - because it will encourage you get out and exercise. Exercise = increased fitness, better sleep, and less depression.

Be glad that there is a chance that there is a medication that has the possibility of helping you - others are not so lucky.
_popupControl(); FMS is terrible! oy and I have JRA with it in an adult form. But I can't take the new drug.
I've been on Lyrica since Sept of 07. I have gained weight, but it dramatically helped my muscle pain. It was like a miracle drug for me. It helped me come out of the "fog" and I was able to begin doing small things I haven't done. I had the want and some energy to move about without pain. My doctor said I would NOT gain weight. He lied. I haven't been back to him, however, I would do it again. The pain was unbearable and I couldn't live with it no longer.

Unfortunately I've suffered with joint pain now for too long and awaiting a diagnosis as to what type of arthritis I have.

I couldn't take the side effects.  Ok, the pain has gotten to me.  What dosage are you on?  My doctor originally started me on 75mg and I couldn't do the side effects.  Now I'm seriously considering starting it again in a lower dosage.  Any advice?I'm on Lyrica and have been since mid Feb. I find that it helps with some symptoms (but I also have psoriatic arthritis). I haven't had a single migraine since I started (they would get so bad that a year ago before I moved out of my parents I actually made my dad come sit with me until I fell asleep because I was just so upset), I don't wake up throughout the night and I'm not exhausted. Also my overall achyness isn't as bad but I still have swelling and joint pain.Oh and I take 75mg 3x a day- make sure to take it with food!!!I have been on it a year.  it works, did put on some lb's as has everyone.  i also had a couple of blacking out occurences, but seem to be over them.  I too have RA so still have joint pain.  i am hoping for a miracle and trying an alternative approach using the Marshal Protocol
