Just some thoughts | Arthritis Information

So I posted this week about my doctor's visit with the crappy RD, who said statistically I have inflammatory arthritis (whatever that means), and I'm currently waiting for the results of my blood tests to see if that's true.  In the meantime I decided to take things into my own hands, because I'm in pain and sitting around waiting is making me mad.  So, I got a therapeutic massage done, and was told my muscles are all ridiculously tight and my hips are out of alignment which could be angering my knees.  Then today, a doctor who is a friend of a friend did a brief knee exam and says, yeah it's possible but not likely that it's rheumatoid, he thinks its quite likely to be bursitis.  And I made an appt with a chiro/accupuncture guy on Monday, mainly for pain management, but I am interested in seeing what his thoughts are.  So for the time being, since I have no real answers, I'm voting for bursitis!

I hope for an easy way out for you, but if not it sounds like you have a lot of support looking out for you.  Take care and rest some along the way.

Hi Special, I'm not sure your experience is unlike most of us have had. This is mysterious stuff, and can come in diff. packages. You are wise to keep exploring. I was told right off my foot problem was arthritis, and it took 5 years!, yes! to believe it. (then it went into my hands) I hope you can satisfy yourself about what it is and that your doctors support that finding.

You aren't alone as many people are confused and frustrated by this disease  and it can get all mixed up with other ones...etc. Lynda
